This is Life, Liberty, Happiness with Brian Schley and Trent Warner. Find us at LLH underscore podcast on YouTube across all social media platforms and wherever you get your podcasts. Real talk, real freedom. You're listening to Life, Liberty, Happiness. I'm Brian. Along in the studio with Trent Warner. And Emma. Hello. Hello. Perk up a little bit there. Today's our. Is that me you're looking for? It's a big day today. We've got the college football preview. Can't wait. Coming up a little later on. Jeff Rupert is joining us on the show as well. Can't wait to get to that segment. A little shout out. Not shout out. Wow. Condolences. Yeah. How about the old shout out to the death? Oh, my God. Condolences. Yeah. To Dolly Parton. Man, that really affected me, honestly. My granddad was a massive fan. Yeah. And so he had like, literally, like these little dolls, you know. Yeah. At his big old farmhouse. And once a year, my grandmother would travel to, this is back in the day where, They would take a bus. Remember a Greyhound bus? Yeah. She would take it back home, which was Lee County, Virginia, to visit relatives. And so my granddad had a life-size cutout of Dolly Parton. So he knew how the old hens around the farmland would gossip. And literally one of them had called my grandmother to tell her that he was riding around town with a female. He had put the cardboard cutout in his truck. That's great. She came back early. Oh, my God. To catch him. Like, he would do anything for a laugh, including pissing her off, which didn't go over well. Well, the thing about Dolly, and I saw it this morning, and it struck me. I'm telling you, last night, I literally just listened to her music, and I was also on the feed. So, like, every third thing that I scrolled through was something about her. Right. So many things I really didn't even know, although I liked her. And we talked about this before the show, but you didn't know what she voted for. Nope. Had no idea. She was always in the best of moods. Like, genuinely thankful for what she had earned. Like, she earned it. She'd tell you that, too. But what I didn't know, and I'm sure you did know this, and you can correct it however it goes. So, I don't know if the hospital's in Nashville, if it's all of Tennessee- Or if it's just where she grew up. But if you were born, you got this book to read as the baby. And then if you were the parents, you could fill out the address of your home. Okay. So every month for till you turn five years old, you got another book. And her charity donated millions of books to kids in Tennessee. And then so the person that was telling the story about it said that when his daughter died, turned five she was upset because she was never no longer going to get a book from miss dolly oh wow and the reason she did it is because her dad did not know how to read or write oh another story good lord oh man. Dude her iconic laugh oh it's just the best right yeah and just so genuine and that's another thing. I saw too last night so i didn't know she had a sister that went on tour i don't know my mom knew her name stella maybe it was stella parton. Yeah Hell, I didn't know she was married for the longest time. Yeah. Oh, no, I didn't either. And Carl, her husband, never was in the limelight. Right. But Stella sounded and looked exactly like Dolly Parton. Because it wasn't a gimmick. It was just how they really grew up. That's how they were. Emma, does your generation know Dolly Parton? Yeah. I listen to some of her songs if they come on the radio. Yeah. But.... Yeah, I mean, as a star, like, singing... Yeah. I was probably later, maybe. I mean, earlier than me growing up, like, was she 70s? Mm-hmm. 80s? Oh, yeah, definitely 70s. But I do remember her and Kenny Rogers. Oh, yeah. Allen's in the street. Mm-hmm. That was, yep. Like, 83. She, I saw a thing, and I was telling my mom this morning, it's like she outlived them all, because I saw one of those little memes that had her going into the, pearly gates and it had all the legends and then i got thinking except willie nelson yeah that's true he's probably lasted the rest of more than all of. Them that actually i was talking with a friend of mine last night speaking of that he listens to the show but um he's friend mike uh hey mike i was we were talking about dolly and he brought up right bo cephas i don't know if you've seen him He looks the same now as he did. I forgot he's still alive. And he's still singing in concert. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah. But he's not one of those that can barely walk. Yeah. I mean, he still performs. Oh, wow. Like, I was shocked that he was still doing it. I saw, like, Alabama singing not too long ago. Oh, that was terrible. It's sad. Yeah. It's time to stop. It's way past time to stop. Yeah, she was great, man. I'm glad you gave a little shout out there. Or, I guess, condolences. Well, we are live in the Counts Realty and Auction Towers here in beautiful Beverly, Virginia. Visit CountsAuction.com. The only true form of selling and buying. Yep, true. Now on to Backwards and Forwards. Quickly. Look, Corey Dunn update this weekend. Slipped up to Pulaski. Yeah. They had a dual race. Pewvasky. First race, I think he started fourth, finished fourth, just kind of rode. Okay. And then they invert the field. Oh. And so he started, I think, third, worked his way up to the lead. And I was like, oh, yeah. And I mean, he worked hard. Got around him and I'm like, holy crap, man. New tires. Yeah. But the fastest guy, you know, was coming. And I'm like, oh, I don't know if he could hold him off. And he battled for a long time, and he ended up finishing second, but just couldn't hold off Kyle Dudley that was rolling. But he's there. I mean, each week it just seems like they're getting close. He still is leading points. So that's good. I mean, he finishes second or fourth, I mean, usually in that top. But anyway, it was a good race again. Get up there and it's pouring down raining. Oh, man. It's the worst luck. They just can't seem to get a break. Yeah. But the, what's it called? The VIP Tower was packed. Not packed. It was 75 people, which is a lot more than what you saw up there. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Yeah. So I think they're racing again this weekend. Very good. But yeah, that was... my weekend. And now when I say I'm legitimately getting ready for our trip to Alaska, this has just been, cause it's not just home. It's work, you know, Reagan's still going to school. So you got to make sure all that stuff's taken care of. So is she going on a trip to, or just you and Ashley? No, it's just me and Ashley. Oh, wow. Very cool. Yeah. And so just trying to make sure all the ducks are in a row for work stuff, get all that stuff done. And then, Well, you're not going to be here at the next two shows, right? Correct. You're in Alaska that long? We are. Two weeks? Mm-hmm. I won't be back from Alaska until... When do you leave? I get back on the 13th, so... Yeah. When do you leave? We leave Tuesday, and then we come back on the 12th. You leave Tuesday of next week? Yeah, we fly to Seattle. Why'd you say you had to get ready if you're not leaving until Tuesday of next week? I have a lot to get ready for. I mean, I have submittals and stuff for work. All that stuff's got to be approved before I leave. Okay. Who else is going to do it? Just trying to get a drink with you after the show. There's no way. I thought you were leaving tomorrow. No. I haven't even started packing yet. So start tomorrow. Actually, I'll do it all anyway. No. Chime in, Ashley. Are we live? No, every day I keep forgetting. We are live? Yeah, I've been... Okay. Why do you question her? Just asking. You question me too, Brian. I do never. Anyway. All right, you... Oh. And since we are live, by the way, we now are over 200 fans, subscribers. Heck yeah. Thank you very much. Yep. And I knew it. All I had to do was get on here. And the very first chat, if you can, by the way, if you're listening live, you can chat live. You just can't see it. Yes, you can. I can. Because Ashley just said that she's packed. I know she is. She's been packed for, listen. Time to pack for you. Let me just tell you what she does. She packs and then spends the next week, like this week, unpacking. Because she realizes how much she's overpacked. Yeah. And it's, yeah, I heard that last night. I'm unpacking now. I'm like, what? Well, it might be because she ain't going. Yeah. All right. In case people haven't seen. Yeah, yeah. Right in front of you there. Yes. Is your. Kevin Spaghetti. I think that is the spaghetti. Kevin's Boss Sauce. I think that is the spaghetti sauce. That looks so freaking good, man. I cannot wait to try this. And then Emma has the, what's it called, Emma? Is it Kevin Sexy Salsa? Yeah. Where's yours? What? Where did you put it? Oh, it's in your office. Oh, it's in your office. Since mine broke on the way here. And kick-ass, Kevin got me three baseball cards that are Ralph Samson basketball cards. Yep. Sacramento King's Days. We had some issues in the mail. What, you lost? No, Ashley texted me and goes, Kevin's salsa is all over the front porch. Oh, no. So one of Emma's jars, of course, is what broke. Good. So I gave her mine. Aw. But yeah, thank you, Kevin. That was very nice of you, Carolina Kevin. I know. It looks delicious. Oh, wow. Look at that. I know Emma's mom is really excited about this. Oh, this is boss sauce. This looks a little, this looks a little bit like the spaghetti sauce, Kevin. I would expect this to be redder salsa. What do you use this sauce. For? I don't know. You think the label's right? I think that still looks like spaghetti sauce. Will you please? I know. It's big. Every week. There was a little feedback there. My bad. We'll have to ask. He calls in at 645, so we'll ask him. Okay. All right, let's move on. So you've got Finn. Oh, yeah, we took Finn to Roanoke College. Yep. That was kind of cool. Dropped him off. Yeah, so Roanoke College, you know, small school, so they do like a– like I really like different schools and traditions. I know we're getting into football, and I love those things, like the songs that they sing before a fourth quarter. I just– I can't get enough of that. I eat that up. Mm-hmm. So at Roanoke College, they had all of the freshmen, and it was 460 kids coming in. I was like, wow, that's like D1 VMI days for me because that's how many we had. We had less than that, actually. Anyway, so they have every kid sign in on this notebook or book, and they had these books around the arena. It was the same gym, the Crager gym that we did the basketball games. They have all the kids down there. So they all sign in to make a commitment, you know, to see it all the way through. And when they graduate, they get to sign out. Oh, wow. Isn't that cool? That is a good idea. It was pretty neat. So, you know, you got to do what you got to do to keep kids in the school and to finish. So I thought that was kind of neat. And then, you know, I thought Marty would be like unable to drive home. She'd be so sad. But she says she felt like she's taken him to so many camps and she was so busy that it just didn't really strike her yet. Yeah, and he's at least close by to where he can. At least visit. Yeah, it's an hour down the road. I remember at Lynchburg College, I went to the orientation thing and I remember thinking to myself, dude, there's no way the president or whoever is speaking, right? And he literally says, I want all of your parents to stand up. And so every, you know, the parents stand up and he goes, now look around the room. There's a pretty good chance your son or daughter's going to end up married to one of these people. I was like, eh, I don't know if I'd start with that. They're dropping them off for the first time. I go there. Yeah. But it was a little awkward moment if you ask me. Huh? It stuck with you. Yeah, that's true. Was Ashley there? No. liar i don't even know if i was there half a time yeah well that's good you got him all dropped off yeah and this weekend y'all are going to highland. Yeah i think uh brian french and i are going to run up and he's got some he said he's got some guns he's never shot before and i was like well i got the perfect spot i thought i might run up there for a couple hours. And there should be some signs in the uh right there where we hang the deer. Some signs oh yeah yeah yeah they're shoot at you the ones with your name on it definitely Yeah, that'd be fun. Oh, good. Yeah, because it's all bush hog now, so it should be pretty open. Cool. Do you have a range finder? I can pace it off. I'm pretty good at that. Okay. My surveying days. Gotcha. Yep. And Emma? Did nothing last weekend. This weekend, going to the lake. Which one? Bluestone Lake, West Virginia. Okay. Did a little skiing? Mm-hmm. Is that big enough to water ski? Yeah. Have you been there? It's a beautiful lake. I just ski in a little circle. You literally just ask a question and then says, uh-uh. Well, I didn't know. Okay, I've heard of Smith Mountain. I've heard of Kerr. Those are big lakes. I've heard of Lake Norman. People go water skiing. I have not heard of Bluestone Lake. I thought it was just a place you want to camp next to. It's in Hinton. Hinton. Oh, West Virginia. Yeah. Beautiful place. I didn't know they had a big lake, though. All right. On this day. This day in history. It seems like we do this one every year. It seems like I've talked about this one every year. Yeah. In 1920, on this day in history, the 19th Amendment was adopted and women were allowed to vote. Change this country forever. Yep. I think you say that every year. If we could change just one thing about our constitutions. This next story would be nice if you can change. Okay, so this is what made me think about it. So you and I talked about before the show about we've had a couple of viral shorts take off on different platforms. And both of them had to do with the WNBA, right? Okay. So it's a big thing. And I know it's a big thing in sports. And the controversy is probably self-perpetuated or they're trying to perpetuate it even more because that's about themselves. The way that they're getting– it's almost like wrestling, right? It gets people to watch. Some people watch. But I watched a video the other day of a woman who said she's attending her first WNBA game, and she was in Dallas. I didn't even know they had a team. The Wings. Okay. Wow, look at you. And– Pitchbeckers. Yeah. Oh, that's what Paige, she's on that team. So the lady wasn't there because of Paige Becker. She was there because the Fever were in town, and she wanted to see what the hubbub was about. She wasn't even a WNBA fan. She said, I stuck around just because I wanted to see what the game was, but I am never coming back. And during what she had the video of over the National Anthem, the Fever were out there, and not a single Dallas member was there. And this reminds me, 10 years ago, it seems like it's longer than that, that Colin Kaepernick first kneeled didn't stand for the national anthem. It just, and I quit watching football for a while until, in fact, I let some of that settle down before I ever watched it again. Actually, I saw a report the other day that said that he was the beginning of the downfall of Nike. And I didn't realize that the stocks had dropped so much with Nike. It's pretty bad. And they were saying that They hitched their wagon to Colin. Yeah. And then it just kept getting worse with the trans girl. And it's like, yeah, that is true. Well, go woke, go broke. Yeah. Yep. That's all I had. That's all you got? Mm-hmm. All right. TikTok shout out. Yeah. So. Go ahead. I thought I would set this off because today I texted you and Emma one thing. Where the hell did Have At It go today? I'm looking at the agenda. We don't have time. We got a college football preview. So I slipped this one in. Instead of a TikTok shout out, I'm going to give you one of the clips. He did his own thing. So here is a brief Have At It clip. This is called Reflections of Who We Are. This lady is actually running for some office. Here we go. What do you see as the biggest civil rights challenges facing black Floridians today? That is a really good question. I would say the biggest civil rights challenge is, I mean, it all stems back to, I mean, it's everything. But it all stems back to money. It's the dollar bill, right? And again, we had nearly 800,000 Black people lose their jobs under Donald Trump. And that's because of these anti-DEI policies. And these anti-DEI policies are basically allowing companies to discriminate against us. People are more likely now to get away with housing discrimination, hiring discrimination, and all the things. And that's one of the main issues that we're seeing. All right. The reason I said this is a reflection, this is what I really do believe. Our system really is this way. We are represented by who we are, right? Sure. There's a whole segment of the population that just thinks that way. And maybe she gets elected because she's representing a group that thinks that way, talks that way, whatever. But man, come on. There was not a fact given in that at all. And for someone running for a Congress, and I think she won the Democratic primary. Wow. So that's what she's on. So she's somewhere in Florida. I don't know that she's going to win. But it just amazes me how much preparation she had for a question that should have been a softball question for. Yes. So the anti-DEI is the reason. Yeah. Discrimination. Yeah. Now they can't buy homes, which the African-American community owns like more than 20 million homeowners. Right. So they just keep discounting any of that. Sure. So anyway, I thought that was a cool sneak and a have at it instead of TikTok shout out. All right. TikTok shout out or have at it. was sponsored by State Farm. Need insurance in Bedford? Um, Last week's race was New Hampshire. I wanted to ask you first before you get into that one. I feel like an un-American that I did not watch a single lap of the IndyCar race. Was it any good? Yeah. Was it good? Yeah. Kyle Kirkwood was, yeah, it was, first of all, the course looked really tough. Like the cars were bouncing. Yeah. I was actually shocked there wasn't a lot more issues. Yeah. But yeah, it looked to be, yeah. Now, did you see, I didn't even know this until after it happened, that there was an IROC race. Also going on? Yeah, I don't know why they don't promote this. I would have been glued to the TV to watch that. How long have we been talking about a senior circuit? Yeah. It had Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliott, Jimmy Johnson. And this is their second race of the year. You're kidding. Yes. How do we not know this? Dude, I'm ticked about that. I know. It had Bobby Labonte, Jeff Gordon, all your– Rusty Wallace, I think, was in it. Yeah, Rusty Wallace. So Jeff Gordon won the first heat, and they did what you said they did at Pulaski. Inverted the field, yeah. They inverted the field, so he had to start last and still passed all those with the equal car to win the race. Yeah, it's crazy. I wish I'd seen that. Yeah, they need to do– Ray Everham is running that now. Okay. So let's hope. Hopefully it's not the same people at Pulaski promoting us. No, I swear. You know? Yeah. Sorry, you were talking about New Hampshire, but I just wanted to ask you about that. No, no, that's a– I thought it was good. I was amazed at how crowded it was. Oh, wow. For an Indy race. Yeah. There were– like when they would show like the straightaways and the turns, I mean, it was five deep with, you know, people. And then the mall was packed. My brother said they had a stretch where the car was going straight ahead and you could see the mall or like the Washington Monument. Yeah. I was so mad I didn't watch it. As a matter of fact, after the race, the White House officials were challenging NASCAR as to why you haven't approached them about doing a race there. Yeah. That would be awesome. I know. I would have watched, but Rupert was making me drink beers. At the pool. Let's go back to Chicagoland, right? Yeah, I know. Ridiculous. Speaking of boring, New Hampshire. New Hampshire. They keep trying to sell it as a track that is challenging and amazing and all this stuff. But I don't know. It's still New Hampshire. It's still flat, right? Yeah. And the rain, it was raining. So they had rain tires. And then a lot of people were upset, including I saw Kyle Larson talk about it. He doesn't understand. you started on rain tires and then it stopped raining and the track was drying. And instead of making the crew chiefs choose what to do next, they had a competition caution where wherever you came in, you could make adjustments to your cars, put new tires on instead of let people decide, is it, Time enough to put slicks on. That's what F1 does, right? Of course. They have to guess. And if you've got your Jeff Burtons and your, oh, it's because of safety. These cars could come in and take out a crew member. They can do that every week. Yeah. Carl Austin thought it should have been. Yeah. Let us decide. It would have been fun to try slicks when it was still wet. Well, I guess you've got to make sure Pit Road doesn't have any water. And it was. Pit Road was wet. Oh, well, you can't do it if Pit Road's wet. That's awesome. But you had rain tires on. Formula One's a little differently in that, though. It is. It's covered most of it. Yeah, and they're slotted, so they're angled. It's a little safer. Hey, by the way, shout out to Grayson, who can't be on the show next week, but he posted a 2015 GMC Sierra for sale. Okay. So if you want to go, you can go to, I guess, Facebook. Grayson Warner's got a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 SLT white Duramax. I think it looks bad to the bone. $ 41, 500. It's a good price. Cool. Yep. Blaney won the race, by the way. Dude, you had. I guess if Carolina Kevin gets to call in. Yeah. You had, I think, the best week we've ever had. All three of your guys were in the top ten. Now, this weekend, we've got Daytona at night. Saturday night race. Is this the last race before the final 10? No. Oh, that's a great. I think we looked at that. I think so. I think there's one more. Anyway, so, but yeah. This isn't one of the final 10 for sure. No. This is either the one that ends or. The one before it. That's a great point. I don't even know. Yeah. It is. It is. Oh, your picks for this Daytona. Is Kevin calling in? Yes. Okay. 645. All right. Both of y'all had good weeks last week. Yeah. This might be the first time I was in third place. Let's hope. All right. Moving on quickly. Mount Rushmore of college football programs. Yes. And I think I've omitted one that I probably should change. Yeah. I will start with Nebraska. Nebraska. So, because you're a Nebraska fan. Well, dude, they were so dominant. And this is in our lifetime. So, this isn't like Bear Bryant. Well, I guess Bear Bryant's my lifetime, but. I mean, from 1980 to. They dominated the 90s, early 90s. Yeah, but I mean, they were dominant in the 80s. That's true. 80 to 98. Actually, no, they were good in 2000s until Solich got fired. And then it. Oh, yeah. Started that spiral. That's like the curse of his firing. Yeah. And then I've got Oklahoma. Yep. I've got LSU. Of course you do. I've got Michigan. Yeah. And then I've got Alabama. Okay. And let's see. Chris has. I thought everybody would have the same thing, but. How do you not have Ohio State in yours? Yeah, that would have been my omission that I should have had. Yeah, that's your errors and omission. Probably should have hit them above Michigan. I would say so. Yeah. Ohio State, he's got– come on. There's no way you can put Indiana in there. No, they just won one, and they were atrocious. They went– I thought they won back-to-back. Was it just one that they won? It's just one. Okay. Yeah. Did they lose the national championship the year before? They got housed in the first round. God, how do I not remember this stuff? This is going to be an awful preseason show. There's a reason why we have a special guest. I don't remember this Jack stuff at all. Georgia, which I could see. You didn't have Georgia in yours. Texas, and I don't think he's wrong in Texas. Texas just had that one great season. Probably the greatest team. Now, maybe he just meant greatest team. Like teams. One season. And Oregon. Why would you put Oregon in there? Well, they have been consistently good, but not. Have they even won a national championship? No. Jeez Louise. He should be banned a week. All right. I'm not going to let him answer next week. Travis Baxter is going to have to come in. I'm in Alaska, so I don't care. So, oh, wait a minute. You want Emma? I'll just do one that wasn't on your guys' list. Yeah. Do they have to be D1? No, you can come up with that. Okay, I did North Dakota State. Okay. That's actually really good. Because they won 15. That's a good one. Yeah. You just made me think of Mountain Union, right? That's a great D3 program, yeah. What's the other one? Is it Rowan? Rowan? Rowan. Rowan? Rowan. Yep. Rowan, Rowan, Rowan. That's all you got, Emma? Yeah, everything else was already on people's list. It's kind of the same. So the way I did the rankings here. Oh, no. Here we go. I asked. Google, Safari or Siri, I don't even know which one I use anymore, is to list since I was born in 1970. Give me the most attended teams, like the biggest attendees, the biggest crowds since 1970. Because I figured that's your biggest followings. Yeah. All right. Can I guess those? Yeah. Do that. I'm going to say Michigan. Michigan. Michigan's number one with 31 million has gone to their game. Wow. Nebraska? Nebraska is not in the top eight. I've only got the top eight. Because I know they had the sold-out streak. I think it's still there. Yeah, I know. But when your biggest city becomes the arena and it's only 56,000 people. Is it just fixed? No, it's got to be bigger than that. I'm sure it's bigger than that, but I was exaggerating. But what I'm saying is it becomes the biggest city in the state. Yeah, yeah. The arena itself. What about Tennessee? Tennessee? Tennessee's third with 27 million. And the reason they got a head start because their stadium's not quite as big as these others, but they've had the big stadium since the 60s. So they've been doing that, yeah. So I think they are still number one in the overall attendance lifetime. Tennessee is. But since my lifetime, Michigan's number one. Ohio State's number two. Wow. Yeah. They're squeezed right between Tennessee and Michigan. Okay. So that's pretty good. Programs. Penn State is number four. Penn State wasn't on your list. No. LSU is number five. That's why I did the list this week. Okay. And then Alabama is sixth. Texas is seventh. And Texas A & M is eighth. I can see A & M. That's the top five I got. I wouldn't have thought Texas. Yep. That's the research I did. Oh, and what I was going to do for Mount Rushmore, here's another Mount Rushmore you guys can pitch in and Or, and we can introduce Jeff to this, to the show. I'm going to call it what team only has to get two wins. They only have to go 2-0, and they skyrocket to the top five. Oh, that's Notre Dame. Notre Dame, number one, right? All they got to do is it doesn't matter where they start. If they go 2-0, they're going to make the top five. Penn State's another one. Clemson. We haven't mentioned Clemson. Clemson should probably be in our top five of our lifetime. Clemson's my sleeper this year if they make it through week one. Yeah. Jeff's already jumping into the sleeper picks. That's awesome. Preview. Yeah. So, no, if Texas, I swear, if Texas just wins two games, it's like they take them to the top. Like everybody keeps thinking they're going to win, but they don't. I think Oregon's in that category, too. Yeah. Everybody keeps thinking they're going to win. And it went out. Boise State. You know what? Boise State's been pretty good. They had a good run. Yeah. I wouldn't say most dominant teams of our lifetime. All right. Well, let's get on to our college football preview, which is brought to you by Counts. You want to describe what's in front of him? how he got invited have you seen what's in front of him in the. Table oh yeah he's got uh back to back back to back fantasy football rings right yeah get. It closer to you a little bit. Is it coming back in can you see him emma no just put him on your nipples. Yes now i can see him yes now i can see him that's it i mean listen aaron has been our expert the last three years yeah. He hasn't won any of our fantasy league. Now, I haven't either, so I don't have a whole lot of room. And you'll notice that as soon as we start this. I have no input at all for this preview. However, Jeff has won back-to-back. Aaron hasn't won jack. Aaron doesn't belong on here until he can win. Yeah, if we want to know who Texas' second running back is from the 1970s. We'll bring Aaron back on. Yeah. For right now, we want to know this year's college football preview. Yeah. I don't have that much history because I'm sort of a degenerate gambler, so I can tell you from the gambling point of view who's been good for the last two, three years. This guy will actually bet you when you're sitting there whether the girl will hit it into the net watching a volleyball game. Like it doesn't matter. Got to make money. This is the best. Oh, man, welcome to the show. Thank you. Yeah, that's very cool. Glad you could do it. Let's dive into it. Yeah. We'll start off with the ACC. Yeah. Trent, do you want to start with who? Hey, last year it was two people that nobody expected to have won, right? Correct. Duke and UVA. Give me a second. Let me pull up ESPN because I'm terrible at this. But go ahead. I know. I'm just saying. I just was surprised by it, and nobody would have thought about it. And Virginia– You know, obviously my daughter's up there now, so I have an interest in it. I told her, you can't have gone to a school and had a better college football experience your first year going as a surprise. That was a hell of a run. She also had a bad experience. Oh, yeah. I mean, it actually nearly almost killed her. Remember? That's right. She got stampeded. We beat Florida State. Oh, man, that was awesome. Yeah. Yeah. But that was a bad phone call. That's not a phone call you want to get later that night. So do you have Virginia doing this again? No. It seems like everybody's thinking it's Tech. Really? Yeah. Most everything I've read is. So we've definitely gone away with the divisions, right? We've just got the best team. Pretty sure. All right. And last year we had a little bit of a debacle with. Yeah, because Miami should have been in the finals. And then because of some tiebreaker, they put Duke in the finals. And then Virginia, I mean, obviously you want to play Miami. You don't want to play Duke again. Right. And then so, of course, it was a letdown that that's who you got to play in your championship game. So Duke won that. Virginia blew it. And then Duke wins the ACC, and college football tells them, go F yourself. We're going to put Miami in instead, which was a better pick, obviously. Obviously. Yeah. Yeah. And they made the championship game, right? Yeah. Indiana beat. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. So right now, Miami's the heavy favorite. Are they? Yeah. Right. They're safe to three team race between Miami, Louisville and SMU. Oh, wow. So Miami's not only because of their, I'm sure their offensive and defensive line will be brutal with the way he recruits. Um, but I mean, their big pickup is quarterback, right? They got the guy from Duke. Yes. That, Oh, yeah. Committed to stay at Duke. Then he had to buy himself out. Buy himself out. Go to Miami. It would be fun if they played Duke this year. Yeah. That would be a good matchup in the championship game, right? Yeah. So, actually, that's also another thing that's going on in the ACC. So, the guy that's at Virginia apparently was at Tech's campus thinking they were going to name him the number one starter. He was at Penn State, went to Missouri. Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah. He was on Tech's campus where Franklin was supposed to make him the number one starter. And Franklin said, no, the guy that was behind you at Penn State is who we've made the number one starter. So that guy then had to find a school to go to, and he's at Virginia. Is it Pribula? Yes, that guy, Pribula. He was at Missouri, right? Yes. Yeah. And he had a pretty good year, I think. Yes. So that'll be interesting because they've lost their offensive coordinator, right? He went back to Clemson. Oh. From Miami? Was it Chad Morse? He was the quarterback's dad. Oh, okay. That was at Virginia. Yeah. Now I think he's back at Clemson. But, I mean, Tony Elliott's the one calling the plays anyway, right? Oh, yeah. So you had said it was Miami, Stanford. Miami, Louisville, SMU, then UVA, then Tech. All right, so Miami's schedule. Real quick, I will pull it up. Don't pull it out. And you know why the reason I said Tech? Because I have this thing where I still tend to believe, even though this is a heavy, heavy NIL-influenced program now, that if you can keep the players that you had before, you're a D1 program, that you're probably better off being able to keep the most people to come back. And Virginia Tech leads the ACC by the most returning players. So an interesting fact on UVA, they have the most minutes played by their team in college football because they're bringing their all their transfers are seniors. Oh, so they have the most playing experience. Oh, wow. So I was looking at the NC State game. That's what we're worried about with that. Yeah, that'll be interesting how that starts up this weekend. That's a pretty big game to start, even though it's not an ACC game. That's also kind of weird. So you've got Miami at Clemson in October. Before that, it looks like a pretty easy run. But then you go to Clemson. And are we all in agreement that Florida State's probably going to be without a coach by then? Oh, yeah. Or do we think Norvell stays around again? I was a big Florida State fan. I actually had them in my Mount Rushmore teams. I grew up with big Bobby Allen fans. Oh, yeah, that's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it just, when we talked about it, they just let me down so many years now. They just nosedived. I'm surprised they kept them. I think too many coaches left last year. They couldn't get anybody they wanted, so they kept them another year. Yeah. Okay. So he makes it the whole year? That's tough. We'll find out early. Well, we'll see if he can. upset a team or two but it. Looks like the game of the year for the acc is louisville smu like mid-season because the winner of that really becomes the number two behind miami that's true yeah and i'm taking louisville to win the acc tournament. Oh wow okay that coach is a hell of a so do you have that louisville knocking off miami uh old miss. That's where it gets me. It doesn't really count. It doesn't hurt the ACC, though. It doesn't count for them. But I think– Well, you've got two– I mean, you've got Clemson going to Baton Rouge to start the season. Yeah. And then you've got Louisville going to Ole Miss, I believe. I'm not an Ole Miss believer. I'm right there with you. They're going to peak early. I mean, after the LSU game, it's going to go downhill for them. Okay. Wow. Well, both of those teams better start off with a win against an ACC team where it's going to be a long year. Yeah. You see their starting running back at Clemson is now, right? Oh, yeah. From LCA, right? Gideon. Yeah. That's really awesome. Now, I mean, can Dabo win this year? You know what? Is he on a hot seat? No. At least not in my book, he shouldn't be. He'll take a lot of bad press, but he's not on a hot seat yet. I don't think so. Who's on a hotter seat, the Florida State guy or North Carolina guy? Oh, I'm trying to figure out which one's getting fired first. Yeah, Belichick or the Florida State guy? I'd say Florida State guy. They're going to ride Belichick out. You think? It's a big contract, probably. And it seems like North Carolina is a school. Seems to be doing this thing where they're getting professional guys that know about professional sports, like the NBA. He's got that NBA coach coming in and coaching the basketball team. Yeah, maybe they're in for a long haul. They're seeing something we're not seeing. Yeah, like Mike Brown at Texas. And that didn't make sense to me, but, I mean, he won a national championship. But he was at North Carolina before Texas. So I guess they were just trying to bring back old fans. Yeah, I'm just saying, like, getting old guys. They go through that run, some schools, to find. Those old guys. It still doesn't make sense why Belichick went. What's he gained? I don't get that either. He gets $ 10 million a year. He gets his son a job for a million or two, and then maybe his girlfriend can hang out with people her age. Yeah. Rather than that. I think you just answered your question. I mean, they opened at TCU, and last year they got crushed. Season went downhill, and they opened again this year. So it could be ugly right away. Yeah. Yeah. But watch Belichick come out and surprise us all and win the whole damn ACC, and we all look down. That would be amazing. All right. So speaking of that, who is the sleeper pick out of the ACC? If you're saying Louisville, that sounds like a sleeper pick to me. They're top 20. With him, with Brom, that's the coach, right? Yeah. I mean, he's pretty– they were good last year. I mean, you talked about North Carolina there, plus 12,000. Oh, wow. Yeah, they're third to last. I would say NC State, but I'm taking Virginia to beat NC State this week. Oh, wow. That's my lock, Virginia minus five and a half. Does Virginia– Is Virginia favored? Yep. Wow. Does Virginia Tech have a good season? They have a very easy schedule to begin with. They could be 5-0. I was talking to somebody the other day who's season ticket holder. We're either 9-3 or 7-5. I kind of. Look at Virginia Tech, though, kind of the way I'm looking at LSU this year. I'm not necessarily thinking either one can win their conference. I just wanted to see it get back to what it was excitement-wise. Just start getting me in the right direction. Both of them. And I'm telling you, if he's got– I mean, obviously Franklin's moving in there, and he's got a heck of a new, I guess, lineup, right? He's brought all these transfers in. He's got good coaching, too. He's a good coach. He's brought– I mean, how weird is it that these coaches go back to the schools that fired them to go still coach? Unbelievable. Yeah. I guess– what's the guy's name? Prye? Yeah. I guess he just loves the school that much that he's going to be the defensive coordinator. And Owen back to LSU. Yeah. But they're getting paid on top of it. If they got $ 5 million, he gets hired now for $ 1 million. They still got to pay him the $ 4. He gets paid the difference. Wow. I mean. That's why. What a country we live in. It's freaking awesome. So I would say, when Georgia Tech moving up, aren't they a better program? Yeah. They were much, much improved last year. So I don't know. What's your sleeper? Me? I don't know. I always think Pitt somehow finds a way to just be good. They do. They seem to just keep winning. I can't pick Pitt. My wife would kill me. Eat shit, Pitt. Yes. We got kicked out of music bingo at Apocalypse to chant eat shit, Pitt. Oh, that's the best. Who do we think will finish last? Let's go there. I mean, dude, I don't put it past Virginia to have a horrible year. That coach just kept winning games by literally an inch. Oh, yeah. And he kept getting on a run. But before that, he was on the hot seat, so he could literally head south. But he could also– maybe he's better than I thought. I don't know. I just see Syracuse. That's why I love college football. Well, Syracuse, I think they flipped over their coach. So I'm going to go Stanford probably dead last. Okay. Does Stanford even have a coach? Against your theme, Stanford has the second most returning players, which bodes well because no one wanted to go play there, right? So your same kids are still having to stick it out there. They're not good enough to leave. Yeah. Who's coaching there? Because they've got this, what's his name, is like a consultant, and then I think Frank Wright. Oh. The quarterback. Andrew Luck. Luck, yeah. And Frank Wright was there, right? Yeah. So I don't even know who's coaching. Yeah. No. I don't know. Oh, well. All right. So does that wrap up the ACC? We got Miami on top? That's right. I don't see anybody else. You've got Louisville, right? Anybody of interest. Louisville, or I said my other sleeper would be Clemson. This is the year. Yeah. Isn't it funny that they'd be a sleeper now? That's how much they've fallen. It's just better if Clemson's good. It is. It's better for college football. Better for the ACC, for sure. You know, there was a time there where it felt like, and I'm not trying to be blasphemous, that the ACC felt like it was competing with the SEC. When you had Clemson and Florida State just that good, it was like, well, those teams, please don't leave the ACC for the SEC. And now you don't even really hear that talk anymore. Uh-uh. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yep. All right. Who you got next? We'll move on to the Big 12. The Big 16. Yeah. That is true. Yeah. All right. Let me get to my teams here. Big 12. I'm going to be honest with you. That conference confuses me sometimes because I don't even know half the teams that I thought was in there. I still want to say before we really get into it, it just still pisses me off that West Virginia is not in the ACC and they're in the Big 12. I agree. Maryland should have stayed in the ACC. West Virginia should have joined the ACC. BC and Syracuse, okay. I'll take it. But Stanford's not being the ACC. Stanford, Cal, they should not be in the ACC. Come on. We didn't even talk Cal in football. Yeah. What? How did they? Rogers. How did they get past us for maybe finishing last? Yeah, true. Didn't even think about them. Yeah. I still, I feel so bad for like those students, just for all the sports. If you're in the Big 12 and you've got to travel that much, it's got to suck. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. All right. Well, let's talk top half. Yeah. Who, uh, Spit out who we think is going to be in the top half, which would be top four. Well, it's basically almost a two-team race with Texas Tech and BYU. Texas Tech lost their quarterback because he gambled in Cincinnati. Oh, that's right. And the backup quarterback is coming off ACL. I think he's back week one. And then they just signed the quarterback from Carter State last year. They got him this week. Yeah. So. And BYU last year, they went on a run with a quarterback, a little guy named Bear. Yeah. So those are the two heavy favorites. Rich Rod's back at WVU. Oh, man, that's right. Which I'm excited about. Oh, wouldn't that be great? He's got a year or two to get ready for that, right? Or is he good this year? I don't know. Well, McAfee came out. McAfee says, I'm going to stop donating money if these guys leave after a year. McAfee was donating the money. They were coming in, and then they were bolting. Gotcha. So you're seeing that now. Who's the other one? Luke Combs does that at Appalachian State. I'll give you NIL money, but they're signing for two years if they're staying. I saw Troy Aikman said that he dabbled in the NIL. deal one time at UCLA, and the kid that he gave money to left. He's like, I'm not doing that again. Unbelievable. Yeah, it says in my little stat here, and that's the only thing I'm really bringing to the show today, is that in the Big 12, BYU dominates the conference in retention rate, 60%. They call it– 60% of snaps is they have the most coming back. All right, so we don't see Houston being. Houston's supposed to be a little high offense again. So, I mean, back in the year of Case Keenum, like 15, 20 years ago, friend of the program. But right now they've got some recruits that's really a Texas Tech, BYU, and they don't play each other all year. Wow. So the rest of the team is just going to beat up on each other, and Texas Tech and BYU are just going to. Kind of– So Arizona State, I mean, their coach is still there. Quarterback's gone. Okay. He's not your quarterback. That's true. Now, I'll say Texas Tech and Virginia, that's two of the schools we've talked about, was the biggest movers in NIL money. Right. So they brought more, and this was last year, they brought more to NIL than they've ever had before. They ended up, Virginia, being in the top 15. I think Texas Tech was in the top two. I mean, they spend the money, so. Maybe they're ready. If Texas Tech get the quarterback figured out, they're looking top five. All right. So I know this topic is not going to make Trent happy. So if Belichick is on the hot seat. Oh, you're a jerk. Is Prime on the hot seat? Don't do that. Well, I mean, these are uncomfortable conversations that have to be had. I just, I feel so bad for the guy, but it sounds like he's just doing it to himself. Colorado just cannot. He cannot get out of his own way. Yeah, you can't do the strength and conditioning deal that you did. Yeah. So Brian, of course, always likes to rub it in because he knows I'm a Prime fan. And Prime has their strength and conditioning coach is a woman. So she's there trying to motivate the troops. And Brian sends me this TikTok of her. And it's the worst thing I've ever heard in my life. But she's like screaming like really hard. Like she's saying all the words that a football coach would say. Yeah. But it's her. And she's from Canada. I mean, you're not helping yourself. So then Brian sends it to me, and I was like, dude, read the comments. And the very first comment was, this girl couldn't motivate me to make a PB & J. I just can't see it. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I'm different. I think he's used up his welcome. We go on vacation with a kid who goes to Colorado, and they said he's lost his student body. Yeah. All right. But if you're Colorado, you are off the map to begin with. True. He brought you at least back to where kids, if you've got some money, would know that that brand is there. He brought them an upper deck. They're literally going to build an upper deck because of the monies that came running in there. Correct. But then he stepped all over his feet, but his feet got cut off. But, you know. Putting your son in the ring of fame. Yeah. You know, for what? 500 season? Right. Come on. You just keep doing dumb stuff. And then I think, honestly, the rumors are that he ran off or Warren Sapp wouldn't talk to him anymore when they left. And he's your defensive guy. So it was just a weird situation there. Well, I did see this week. He's just signed little Wayne's kid. Oh, everything's good. That's going to turn around. Right now, they're second to last. That's where they're rated? Yeah. First of all, they go to Georgia Tech to start the season. Yeah. That's an L. That's an L. Yeah. Now, he's got some easy, winnable games, but I don't know if you can beat Northwestern at Northwestern. Yeah. That's a stadium, by the way. I can't wait to see. I know. They open it up this year, I think, and it looks like a high school stadium, but it looks really cool on the lake. Now, this is the first time in many years, many, many years, probably since I have followed college football religiously, That Oklahoma State has a new coach. And I don't even know who it is. Yeah. So that was one of my sleepers. It's the coach from, I think, Texas State who has a very high run offense. And he brought, I think, 30 people from that. So one of the things I was listening to is that's the sleeper in there where they can go from like 1 and 11 to 6 and 4, 6 and 5. Oh, wow. So that's one of those I want to watch because you want to talk about people who got money. Yeah. They got Texas Tech money. That's right. Yeah. So he brought all the guys from Texas State where he was at. Yeah. And I think they had the top running back in the country. That's sort of the program that Indiana did, right? You go from JMU and you bring all those players and try to win. We start talking about UCLA next. Yeah. They did the same. Now, did Mike find a new job? Or is he just done? No, he's done. I loved Gundy. Yeah. He was crazy. He overstepped his time. He should have stepped away. Oh, yeah. I agree with you. Yeah. Yeah. But he's done, huh? He's done with college football. I mean, damn. Yeah, and Baylor, I haven't heard anything about them in a while. Baylor's got the quarterback from Florida, a DJ Langley. Oh, wow. That's right. He went to Baylor. I had no idea he left Florida. Yeah. That's what it takes. So much like the new season of NASCAR. It takes you about two or three races or two or three games before you realize who has gone where now. Oh, my gosh. I can't answer that. Yeah. It's equivalent. I promise you it's equivalent. It's equivalent. That's for our NASCAR fans that are hanging around. That's interesting. I did not know that. Every year we kind of talk about Kansas being. When did Cincinnati? Cincinnati's in the Big 12. That coach is really good, right? He just hasn't won big yet? We keep thinking. Yeah. Mostly because Aaron keeps telling us. Yeah, yeah, that's true. That he was going to be good. They're one of your teams that win the first three games. They're ranked number 20. Yeah. And then you just start betting them, and they lose, and they lose, and they lose. Then I yell, thanks, Aaron. So I'm going to text them. Yeah. Iowa State's like that for me, man. That's the team I cannot get right any week. They blow my parlays whether I'm with. Them or against them. Well, Campbell's gone now, so he's at Penn State. He's at Penn State, yeah. And he took the quarterback with him. Yep. So they have them. Right behind Colorado. Oh, wow. So Iowa State's supposed to be last. Yeah. So is Kansas going to be anything? They have them behind West Virginia. I mean, they have them, looks like, how many teams are in this thing? 16? Yeah. So they have them like 10th or 11th. TCU? TCU's are ranked at their 25 range. They're right there with Houston. Okay. So it's basically a four. Six teams, Kansas State, TCU, Houston, Utah, BYU, and Texas Tech. So who's your sleeper that could just– I. Can't do it, Julie. I can't say West Virginia. Oh, you got to do it. I can't. I can't do it. There's no way Rich Rod does it. No. I was going to say Oklahoma State. I'm intrigued to see what the new coach does with that offense. I mean, you're coming off 1-11. So what's the expectation? Wait a minute. I've got to analyze this. Why would you pick Oklahoma State with a new coach but not West Virginia with a new coach when West Virginia's new coach has been around and has this dynamic offense? Rich Rod could have had a statue 20 years ago. If he never left, he'd have a statue. He'd be the king of the world. He went to what? Michigan, then Arizona, then Jacksonville State, which is actually not in Florida. It's in Alabama. So it's– I never knew that Jacksonville State was not in Florida. I did not either, but there's a guy from JF who's going to Jacksonville State, and I saw him at the graduation party, and I just assumed it was in Florida. I thought so this whole time. Wow. That's crazy. Must be one of those schools that get the feeders from Alabama and Auburn, because they've been pretty good sometimes. Troy, too. I don't know. I'm a big Rich Rod fan, so I'm hoping he gets it done. I do, too. And talk about somebody that could. pick up a state again, if he was just to go 4-0. Now, it's going to take him more than 2-0, but if he was to go 4-0, that state would make him a hero before. Oh, yeah. I mean, he'd be big time. When my wife went there, they had the habit of, they'd be 7-0, but they wouldn't play anybody until 8, 9, 10, 8, 9, 10, 11. So they've got a chance to be 2-0, and then they've got a showdown with UVA. True. Oh, that's right. It's in Charlotte. Yeah. How do you keep getting these neutral games? Pretty easy schedule. I don't understand that either. And, by the way, so if you were going to go to any game at Virginia because they are hosting, if you knew anything about Virginia last year, you want to go to the Duke game, right? Right. So I told Riley that would be the first game I look up, and so I'm trying to put my schedule together this year of where I'm going to what tailgate. Sure. So– because of the calendar and other commitments, people getting married and all that stuff. I can't go to the games I really want to go to, but I wanted to go see the Duke game, and it's on a Friday night. Why would you do that game? That's the team that beat you last year, and you get to stick it back to them. Why would you do it on a Friday night? Man, I just get so upset about that. And what's also upsetting is we're in the middle of a college football program, and Marty sends me pictures of my cucumbers and tomatoes. What in the hell? Trying to break my train of thought. But. I mean, if the West Virginia-Virginia game. was at West Virginia or at Virginia, we'd be going. Yes, 100%. But I'm not going to go to Charlotte. No, I agree. I want to go experience the tailgate. Do you know what all that's about? It's got to be corporate, right? No, there's a history there. And it's still bad blood between these old people at West Virginia and these old people at Virginia because... The Virginia band went out there one time and made fun of West Virginia sheep and incest and all that during the halftime show. And Virginia didn't even have a band. They had this like mock band. And so they did that, like making fun of the other teams. And West Virginia got and they said, we'll never play you again. So this is actually like getting back to playing each other. But I guess they decided they have to do it in a neutral site. That's crazy. Stupid. Anyway, maybe they can get past that now, once they get past this neutral site, and we can start doing a home-and-home series. Let me Google this band thing. Yeah, look it up. Yeah, I think there was sheep involved. That's when buttonfly jeans became popular. All right. Might be the only college football preview show. You can hear Zipper a mile away. Oh. Oh, my God. The sheep will run. All right. Yep. Moving on. Are we done with the Big 12? I'm done. All right. Because we still got to do our playoffs after all of this. Yeah. And we're still at 12, I think, in the playoffs, right? We haven't moved anything. Now, we didn't talk about Notre Dame. We can talk about, well, they're in our at-lodge. We'll get to them in a minute. Okay. All right. So now the conference that matters. Yes. I thought you would have done the Big Ten first. You skipped the Big Ten. No, I didn't. Did I? Yeah. How did I do that? I know. You went over the Big Ten. You want to go back to that, right? Yeah. Let's do Big Ten. You want to do the SEC? Oh, I did. It's on my sheet. I just skipped it. I see what you're saying. That's why I'm here. All right. Big Ten. Yeah. Let's do that. I will get my Big Ten pulled up. Is there just more than three teams? Oh, I guess there is. All right. So when you talk best conference. Yeah. I know that Big Ten has won, but I don't look at the Big Ten as the best conference because I look at top to bottom, and I just can't see year in and year out. So I know what you're saying, and I know every year the SEC has got to be the best conference because most people, whatever, but they get their asses handed to them in the bowl games, and I know it's because NIL people don't play or whatever. That's the case. But you've got to go win those bowl games if you're actually going to be called the dominant conference. Well, I guess, I mean, I'm not disagreeing with you there. And sometimes the head-to-heads, they don't win them. Okay. You know, that's what I'm just saying. It's like, and the Big Ten has been winning national championships. Yeah, the Big Ten is top-heavy. You take the bottom five of the Big Ten of Maryland, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, and Michigan State against the SEC, bottom five. Right. The SEC will go four and one. Easy. Potentially. You think. But I'm just saying they ain't winning national championships. The days of Alabama and Georgia dominating seems to have waned. Might be back again, but I'm just saying it just seems. Well, I mean, Miami was in the finals, but there's no way we're looking at the ACC as a top-tier conference. The ACC did pretty good in the bowl games last year. That's what I'm saying. It's so much perception that's out there before the season ever starts. Sometimes you get halfway into a season or at the end of the season and you realize it's not exactly the way it's all put up the ACC dominated in the, in the bowl games. I'm pretty sure. All right. So yeah, let's settle into the big 10. Yeah. All right. Does I'll just start off with throwing a few questions out. Yes. Does Brett Bielema actually have a good football team or does he hype it up and they're okay this year? I don't know. He keeps getting, it seems to be like he's getting better and stronger. I can't see it. I can't either. I can't see it. Last year, I think they started in the top 10. And halfway through the season, they were gone. I just like him because he talked a lot of smack to the Beamer guy down in South Carolina. That was the best. If there's anybody I hate the most in college football, it's the Beamer guy at South Carolina. So when he got him screaming, jumping up and down, it just made me all warm inside. Of iowa is kurt still there kurt's still there the offensive line coach is still there so you're looking nine six six three those games is brutal to watch but yeah but they're always there they're top 20 yeah yeah the best punters all come from. Iowa all right uh michigan state do they have a better year this year than typical No, man. Aren't they the ones that lost their coach off with some controversy? Or no, that was Michigan. Michigan State is plus 40,000. Yeah. Just to make it to the game. But I thought they had some controversy at Michigan. Maybe it was the year before. Michigan State, they got rid of, yeah, the coach that came from Colorado. Yeah. Hiked him up, signed him up to a big deal, and fired him after year one. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Well, it's just like the SEC. Not everybody can win. Yeah, yeah. There's going to be teams that lose. Michigan State, if you're not winning in two or three years, you're out. You can ride it out in Rutgers. UCLA has a new coach, and UCLA has not been relevant for the last 20 years as much as we want them to be. God, doesn't it just feel awful to be talking to Big Ten and talking about UCLA? It does. It's not right. But, I mean, you know. You know his quarterback there, right? At UCLA? Yep. Tennessee guys. Oh, that's right, right. Yeah, yeah. I thought he had transferred back to Tennessee or tried to go somewhere else. The NIL money ended up being less than what he made at Tennessee. For once in his life, he's back to the school. Yeah. And they do have a new coach. They have the JMU coach. Yeah. He brought 15, 20. I was listening to a podcast with him this week, and he seems like he's got it figured out. He's got that. Coach speak. Listen, I want UCLA to be relevant. It would be nice again. I want UCLA, USC to be relevant so they can play each other. Correct. And, by the way, in the Big Ten, USC has the most returning starters. Okay. He better win, too. What's he done since he's been there? Lincoln Riley. Yeah, he's got something to do there. I mean, they have a tough schedule, but I think they're like top 15 right now. But, once again, depending how your Big Ten schedule goes, you could play five, six teams in the top 20. Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. I missed it by one. USC is in second. Maryland has the most returning players. Again, maybe that's just a comment about no one else going there and trying to root out somebody else. All right, so USC has got Oregon, Washington, Penn State, Ohio State, and Indiana on their schedule. That's a– and you're going– To Wisconsin, which is never easy. Yeah. Especially for a California team. That's just why I just think it's so difficult to think that you're going to succeed in the Big Ten. They start 4-0. They're going San Jose State, Fresno State, Louisiana, and Rutgers. Yeah. And then it goes Oregon, Washington, Penn State. Post-Oregon. Yeah. Save it for later, but I'm a big fan of Oregon. I think a lot of people are. Yeah. Dan, to me, I put Dan in the same category as I did with James Franklin. They were always good, but can he finally win that game? Which, unlike most people, I don't think that should get you fired. You know, just sooner or later, can you win that game? So they have six preseason All-Americans in Oregon. Wow. And the quarterback came back. Yeah. The Nebraska quarterback left to go there because he thought the quarterback was leaving. So now they have like a top-notch backup quarterback, which are probably paying $ 2 million. Is that Dylan Rayola? Yeah. Patrick Mahomes looking like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they got Nike money. And they got great jerseys. Yeah. They do. Every week. And they do a great job on college game day with the Duck. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So they've got a favorable schedule, but they still got to go to Ohio State. And then they get Michigan at home. And then you sprinkle in a few games that could be tough. Illinois, USC. Everybody's big on Ohio State, but they lost, what, like eight, nine people from the defense? Yeah, everybody seems to think Julian Sands is the real deal and that they're just going to walk right through. But I don't. You know, it's crazy you say that, but Ohio State has the third most returning. So they must have lost some big guys, but they still kept a lot of people. Maybe that defense– maybe the offense will just have to outscore everybody if it's the defense they lost people on. Is Michigan good right off the bat with Willingham? Ooh, that's a neat hire that they made. Yeah, it is. And for what they were going through, bringing in that guy just kind of quiets everything because you get back. To kind of the old school. You know way of doing things. I think they're better will they they're going to be one of the teams that go off pretty quick they have Oklahoma early but then they go Penn State Indiana then they also play at Oregon at Ohio State so they got a brutal schedule but I think the hire is a lot better than what they had I. Bet that guy doesn't last two years in Michigan. Willingham? I just can't see it. I don't know. I'm not a fan of the quarterback. They paid all that money. Tom Brady, I think they gave him like $ 8 million, $ 10 million. He just didn't look like he had it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Underwood. Yeah. I just don't see it with him. Bryce, yeah. I could be wrong. All right, so who's our top four? Are we going Ohio State, Indiana? Does Indiana keep? I'm taking Oregon to win it. That's so crazy to think about Indiana in the conversation. But, like, most people want to think, okay, so this would be the year. And then, you know, you find out, no, he's that damn good of a coach. Yeah. So the quarterback is TCU. Yeah. They got TCU. They still got all the linemen back. Yeah. They just load up on the linemen. But who knows? You find out early. And you know, Brian, you were talking about. They got a big six-week run of nobody's. You're talking about the college conferences and the rankings. I mean, you've got Ohio State and Oregon 1-2. It used to be so different now because you would always have Alabama-Georgia, you know what I mean, or LSU in there or something like that. But it really seems to be just a– and then Indiana 6th. So that conference is going to be stacked. But you've got Ohio State-Texas week two. And that's where you kind of see what happens. Yeah, that again. That's kind of a cool little start. Of the year. Sure. Nobody else plays each other anymore. That's right. Well, thanks to Notre Dame being stupid. Who's their sleeper? That's a good question. I'm going UCLA. I sat and listened to that podcast with that guy, and he makes you want to run through a wall. Yeah, I agree. That's so funny. Brian's going to laugh at this, but he's going to. I used to think that UVA was just a matter of time before they got really good because I watched a whole summer of– what was the coach's name from Richmond that won the national championship at Richmond? Mike London. Mike London. And, dude, I was like, dude, I would do anything for this coach. He's going to win everything. And, dude, it was like four years and he was gone. It was awful. That's how I think about– you know what? My sleeper, I keep picking him every year. Minnesota. Minnesota. I love that coach. TJ Fleck. Come on, man. We got to start winning. He's got to win a major game. Yeah, but you know, we keep talking about all these teams and we don't mention Penn State. And Campbell is a heck of a coach. And he brought people with him. Brought the quarterback with him. Yeah. I think a new coach, although I guess the guy from Indiana has kind of changed all that perception, but that's That's such a dominant conference to be a new coach to come in there to try to win. It just seems crazy to me. Well, they've got the luck of the schedule. They do not play Ohio State. They do not play Oregon. They do not play Indiana. Oh, wow. So, yeah. They host USC and at Michigan. This is why he's on this preseason show. That's exactly right. I mean, their schedule is favorable. They could be that sleeper team that ends up. I mean, nobody calls. Penn State sleeper. I know. Well, I mean, they're not abusing kids anymore. Just doing coke. What was his name? Pablo Pluchkabar. Uh-uh. I don't remember that. You hear that story about the frat guy busted selling coke two weeks ago? Oh, for real? Yeah, like eight guys. Wow. Cops came, and the guy thought it was a prank, so he started talking back to the cops, and they tased him. Oh, wow. Wow. Nice. Holy crap. Football team? No. Oh, okay. Just students. I got you. Putting a whole new phrase to white out in Penn State. Yeah. All right. Let's move on to the SEC. SEC. All right. Let's talk top half of the SEC. Who is our.... Did we just dive right into it? What do you guys think the LSU Ole Miss game? I'm a little scared of hopefully those two teams aren't focusing on that matchup and forgetting that they have a week one matchup. Yeah. Because it would really suck to have both of them playing ahead. Well, that's their third game for LSU, right? They open with Clemson and Louisville. Clemson and Louisiana Tech. Or LSU takes Clemson and Louisiana Tech before Ole Miss. Correct. And that's at Ole Miss. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's a huge– I mean, obviously it's a huge game. I hope it's not like what Tennessee did to Lane when Ole Miss came to Tennessee. Oh, I'm sure it is. And it got nasty. I'm sure it's going to be. Yeah. And Lane, listen, it's not like Lane doesn't enjoy this. Yeah. Like, I mean, this is his MO, and that's okay. Like I mentioned yesterday, I was looking at his history, right? And obviously, when people discuss him, they talk about, Oh, he switches schools, this, that, and the other, right? You know when he was at Tennessee? What year? Mm-mm. 2000? Oh, really? Like, that's 20-some years ago. Yeah. It's not like he went from Tennessee to USC, all back-to-back. I mean, there were years. And, you know, I joke that if you go back and look at Saban, it's not like he just went to Alabama and won. He was at 15 different schools before that. Mm-hmm. But Lane brings it on himself. I'm excited, obviously, that he's at LSU and not somewhere else, but it's going to be a hell of a matchup. He made Ole Miss relevant, but I think that Ole Miss is going to be going down. I think after this, that game, Ole Miss is just going to fall apart. Yeah, I mean, I do think Charlie Weiss is a big deal to coaching that nobody talks about. And he was allowed to stay with Ole Miss and coach them through the playoffs. Now that he's gone, you know, who is play calling? They got the running back and the quarterback back. They do. That would be interesting. But Lane and Weiss aren't calling the plays and aren't running it. And the coach didn't want to be a coach. He did not want to be the head coach. I know. I like him. I think he's a pretty decent guy. And I really do think he's a good defensive coordinator. And he got arrested? When do you, uh, during all season? No, no. Okay. I think this is the last year Ole Miss is relevant. Okay. What are you reading? The Tennessee boards? I'll check it out. Oh, anyway. Uh, yeah. Staff to check. That should be, obviously you want both of those teams undefeated and college game day. It'd be there and it'll be hyped and it's, it's good. So, uh, just to, follow up what I have for each of the conferences so far. Georgia comes back with the most returning snaps and Texas is behind them at second with the most returning snap players. So I do think in my mind, I think Georgia is the team. It's not that nobody's talking about them. It's just, it's Georgia. Yeah. You expect them to be. And I do think they will be good. Football's better when Georgia's good. Yeah. I agree. A hundred percent. Is Alabama relevant or is Georgia, The East, just not where he needs to be. Kalen DeBoer. I think this is his last year. I think if I remember the schedule correctly, their middle part of their schedule, like mid-October, they hit like three games in a row. And if he fails in that area, I think it's going to be a long November. Oh, I think you're right. Let's see. Let's get to their schedule here. Man, do we have preseason 13? Yeah, but we still don't know who their quarterback is. They just announced it was the freshman. I can't remember his name off the top of my head. Well, that tells us a lot about Alabama football right now. Keelan Kellen, I think, or something like that. So I don't– we do think Vandy takes a dip, right? I mean– I have to scroll down to find their odds, so I'd say yes. They're still– yeah. I mean, yes, I think they have had a good run. It's hard to believe if they could keep it going. Yeah. They had a top recruit quarterback, and he couldn't even break the lineup. So he got transferred in from, I'm thinking, a lower-level school as a senior. What was the last year's little guy, Pavia? Yeah, he's out. Is he at Baltimore? He lasted a week and a half. Did they cut him? Yeah. I think when they measured him at 5'7. It was over. Back to being a trainer. So he'll be in the Arena League somewhere and starring. Yeah. Yeah. So it looks like in the rankings, the top 25, you've got Georgia third, right, and Texas fifth. Yeah. And then Texas A & M. You know, that's a coach that I keep thinking is just going to get better and better and better. Mike Elko. Yeah. He will. I mean, he's at a place where if he can get the– I mean, he's at a place where he can get the best players, just kind of like Lane Kiffin at LSU. Sure. With that kind of coaching and getting that kind of talent, it just seems a matter of time before they win a national championship. Well, they got the money. Yeah. Usually they had the top ten attendance in the last 20 years. Yeah. But they finish. I mean, they're one of the teams that usually go 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, top five. Yeah. And then they get in the media SEC and then it's just– Lose by three, lose by seven. I think they end with Tennessee at Oklahoma and then Texas. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. That's brutal. Yeah, but don't forget. I mean, they got to go to South Carolina. That's not an easy one. That little runt. I'm just saying you're at South Carolina. That does matter. South Carolina's got the quarterback back. Which, by the way, if we can talk about traditions and everything, that thing they do with the keys at the beginning of a game, I think that's what they're shaking it. And that music that they play, that is badass. I would love to go to a game at South Carolina just because of that tradition thing they do. It's really cool. I do have no desire to see a game at Texas A & M, I can tell you that. The Heat? The Heat, the 12th man with the chance. Yeah. You want to know one I would hate to do more than that? The damn Cowbells. Yeah. Mississippi State. Are you kidding me? That would kill me. I got a friend of mine that went to Mississippi State and only went to one game when he was a student there. So he got a headache and he just wasn't going to go back. All right. So curious about Missouri. I see they're ranked in the top 25, at least on this that I'm on. I mean, is there something that I'm missing with Missouri? The running back's back. Okay. But he also got shot. So he's coming back from getting shot. Wow. So I'm not sure if he can make week one. So if I remember, am I wrong? That's who Virginia beat in the bowl game last year, Missouri? Correct. Okay, so the guy that was quarterbacking for Virginia this year was at Missouri. Correct. He gets hurt on the last play of the game. So they bring in a true freshman to throw the Hail Mary. Oh, that's right, yeah. And it went in the dude's hands, and he got knocked out of bounds. That's how close Missouri came to beat Virginia in that playoff game. Crazy. Yes, I see Missouri is ranked 25th. We somehow skipped Tennessee. I was going to ask, do we think Tennessee is overrated or underrated? I'll go back to the main question. Who's their quarterback? Well, remember last year they had the one fellow that everybody fell in love with that came from UCLA. No, no, that's right. I'm telling you, I don't know that he has a transfer. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not sure where the guy came from. It's not the guy that was there. It is a transfer, but I don't remember where he came from. I'll have to call and text Aaron. Well, it'll be, I mean, obviously we know he can coach. Yeah. But their schedule is not easy. Yeah. They have a brutal schedule. So they're going with a five-star freshman. Okay. Faison Brandon. Wow. Okay. Well, that's a bad recipe. SEC freshman. And you go to Georgia. Not named Manning. You go to Georgia Tech second game of the year. Oh, wow. Man, Georgia Tech must have a hell of a schedule. No joke. And then you've got Texas at home. Yeah. That's going to be. You missed the Kennesaw State game. That's the one I'm going to. That's the one I'm going to. Are you kidding me? You wouldn't go to the Texas game? I'm just going to tell you how I am. Yes, I would love to go to the Texas game. Did we go to the Florida game? We went to Florida years ago. I don't enjoy close games. It was loud. It was great. It was all that. I'd rather just see a 55-0 blowout. I like to cheer. I like to hear old Rocky Top 25 times in a quarter. I just don't want to. I just can't. I don't like to see a loss. It eats me up. So when I see that game, the first thing that comes to my mind is I've got a Manning back in Neyland State. Oh, wow. Yeah. And I'm thinking, this has got to be a hell of a night. What's funny is how college sports are. When I told Logan that LSU was playing at Neyland this year, his first question was, is it blackout night? That was the first thing he wanted to know. If it wasn't, then we have a chance to win. If it is, forget about it. I'm like, that's where college sports is now. I really wish I would have thought about this, but the end of show. Did I say the end of show? I don't think I did. The end of show, I was going to play the blackout Rocky Top by Dolly Parton. Right. I need to find that. So it's not the blackout game, thank God. Oh, okay. But. I'll tell you what, Tennessee, listen to this home schedule if you had season tickets. After you get past Kennesaw State and Furman, there's Texas at home. Yeah. Auburn at home. Yeah. Alabama at home. Kentucky. Yeah. And LSU, I mean, even though there's some rough games on the road, too, that's still pretty good. If you're going to play them, at least it's at home. Yeah. All right, so who is their two top-tier teams? I'm a Texas fan. I like to ride Arch Manning, but their problem is their offensive line is horrible. Yeah. And I always feel like they're going to, again, he's got to win the game just like Dan Lanning has to. Yeah. I'm going to say Georgia and Texas A & M. Oof. That's who's in my– We. Don't talk– nobody talks about Oklahoma. I mean, they were one of the top ten. Oh, true. They were top ten. Yeah. Yeah, I love Oklahoma. Quarterback's back. Yeah. This will be a great year for that coach to start winning. So, what's his schedule looking like here? Oh, it goes at Michigan second week, but that's probably a good time to hit Michigan. Yes. Correct. Good point. No, they got to go at Georgia. Yeah. Texas at home is the record. I mean, their, their schedule is not horrible. Two losses, but yeah, it's balanced out. Yeah. All right. They might make it. So we both, I think I agree. I think Georgia is that team. Um, But I could, God. So I'm torn with my sleeper being South Carolina. Only because I do think that quarterback is legit. And I think it's impossible to play at South Carolina. That's just my feeling. But I'll go with Texas and Georgia. No, I'll go Oklahoma. Oklahoma. Do we think Florida does anything, or is that guy just– because he hypes me up. But then I'm like, you're still at Florida. I think they're trending the right way. Same thing with Auburn. I think they're both going to trend. A little bit up. I mean, I know you guys are high on South Carolina, but I see Florida-Auburn ahead of South Carolina. And Texas A & M, I just don't see it. All right, so you do think he can win at Florida. I think he can. I mean, see, in my eyes, and don't get me wrong, I know that he went from JMU to Indiana, but you're going from Tulane, who, let's not forget, Tulane was good before he got there. And in one year, he's going to hop to Florida. I was sold on him until I saw him walk into the stadium and him say, man, this is unbelievable. And to me, it just feels like it's too much for him. But we'll see. That's another team. It's just better for college football. Oh, yeah. They're good. Yeah. Absolutely. I watched the documentary the other night and had no clue, zero clue, that Spurrier is the one that named it The Swamp. Oh. I thought it was always named The Swamp. I watched a documentary last night, the Vince Young documentary came out on Netflix. Oh. So that was pretty interesting. Hmm. Saved Texas by himself. Yeah. All right, so. He's crazy good. I'm an Arch Manning fan. I'm going to ride Arch Manning all year. Okay. I got Texas going far and Arch winning the Heisman. And your sleeper is? My sleeper is going to be, I'm going to take Auburn and have a better year. I'll get them at 500. Wow. That's pretty cool. But it's one of those, once again, teams are so good. Yeah. Well, who's going to get fired out of here? Somebody's got to get fired. That's a good point. I mean, Arkansas has got a new coach, right? I can't see it. I mean, I don't know. They all do. Kentucky got a new coach. Yeah, but you can't fire them in their first year. No, I'm trying to think who else is at the bottom. Mississippi State. You ain't firing him. South Carolina. I think South Carolina guy's gone. Yeah, definitely. If he doesn't win, yeah. He won't make it four games. Do you see what the quarterback, what his course load is this year? No. He's interning at a golf course. He's not taking any classes. He's interning at a golf course. Bet he's going to be good in football. That's amazing. He was a Heisman front runner last year after they beat– Oh, that's right. In like week one. It was like, good God, that guy. Amazing. And then they just went to tank. What was the– was it something Netflix did where they did kind of like that quarterbacks thing where they followed and they did the preseason SEC thing? And the guy on South Carolina, I mean, he kind of rose to me. He seemed like a real kind of a good guy, good leader. But they sure didn't come through. Damn. Now you've got me worried here. About LSU? Well, no, because, I mean, somebody has to get fired. Lane Kiffin? Oh, it's just, of course, it's Alabama. DeBoer. Yeah. Oh, really? Yeah. I mean, we haven't talked about him yet. We have the Baxters sending us texts right now saying, more Alabama, please. Oh, my God. New quarterback's going to create a ruckus. But if he leaves, if he gets rid of DeBoer, who are you bringing in? Yeah. By the way, why won't he succeed? Why couldn't he succeed? I'm not saying he can't, but. I mean, I think there's going to be two teams from the SEC with three losses that make it to the bowl. Well, let's dive into that. I'm glad you took us into that. Was there any team that's not in a conference, by the way, before you say anybody else? Oh, yeah, yeah, our at-large team. Yeah. Who is– Keeping you on track. Obviously, we didn't know JMU would be the team making it to the playoffs last year, right? Was it JMU and Tulane? They both– Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah. Wood and Liberty. Yeah. No, that was Aaron's pick. Yeah. That's why he's not here. That's why he doesn't have one of these. Or two of them. Or either one of those. That's awesome. Liberty's not supposed to be. Liberty could be good. Liberty is one of those. They have the most talent in their conference, but you have to win the games by three or seven. So do you win them or do you lose them? Last year, they seemed to lose them. So Notre Dame's got the contract now where they're automatically in if they're in the top 10. Well, I mean, their schedule is going to allow them to be in the top 10. Yeah. So they're automatically in there. Well, they got Miami. I really like that coach. And BYU, which is surprising for them. I didn't think they'd have that many half-decent teams to play. That's true. But you win one of those and you're still going. The quarterbacks, I mean, I didn't watch them much last year. The quarterbacks, the highs have been favorite right now. Yeah. Carr. Yeah. They had the two running backs take them the first round. I think they have a good tight end, too. They always have a good tight end. All right. So, obviously, Notre Dame. Who is that other at-large team that we– there's not– so it's going to be whoever's the highest? Yes. So is it Boise State or one of those? Well, Boise State, so that's the Pac-10 now. So do they get in? Pac-10's still around. So they now created the Pac-10. Oh, that's right. We forgot about the Pac-10. And all those in there. Does Oregon State have a conference now? They are. They got a real one. They were top two last year. I mean, but Boise is a major favorite right now in that one. Okay. But I think they get an automatic bid. Oh, wow. Yeah. I could be wrong on that. That's more of an Aaron question. Pac-12 is back. But I have Boise when you went through. In our 12. Okay. All right, well, let's do that real quick, and then we'll talk Heisman. Okay. So who is our 12? I don't know why I had 16 teams, but who are our 12? Well, if we go down the ranking, figure Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia. Let me get this. Ohio State. Oregon. Oregon. I agree with that. Georgia. Notre Dame. I mean, number five is Texas. I have Texas, but they have a– if they get in, they're going to be nine and three. I mean, they have a schedule. By the way, talk about a surprise firing. That could be a firing that happens if he can't win. A surprise firing. Like he's kind of on the edge. Sarkeesian? Yeah. It only takes a few games at certain programs and people want to run you down. Especially when it would be an end of the Manning era. Yeah. You know, it would be a good time to cut. I'm just saying it's possible. but they could win the whole thing. Indiana. Man, do you guys see them having another one, another good run? They have them top seven, top eight. I mean, they got people. Their quarterback is good. He's also the kind of coach that as soon as they start losing, he just starts throwing everybody under the bus and everybody quits on him. But he's never lost. He's never lost. But doesn't he look like that guy? No, he's never lost. Okay. I don't see it. All right. I think he's figured out the formula. All I'm saying is right now you guys have just gone along with chalk. Right now you've done six teams are in the six teams. There's a drop-off at ten. Yeah. I mean, because the top six, top eight are loaded. Yeah. I mean, that's the way it's going to be now. We have yet to put an ACC team. Well, the next one is Miami. Okay. I mean, I'm going Louisville, but I think Miami will be the large. You think Miami will be? I think Louisville is going to win the ACC championship. Rome could get it done. But Louisville is a strong enough power that if they were that good, might still make it in. A lot of people like SMU, but they have the Dallas money, but they really screwed me last year on a parlay. Yeah. So I can't do it. Wouldn't it be great if SMU was good again? Oh, I love it. Remember how good they were back in the days when they were allowed to pay players? When they were actually doing the paying of players? Pony Express. Yeah. Gosh, that was a good program then. That was a great 30 for 30. That was so good. Yeah. All right. So coming out of... The Big 16. You got– The winner is going to be– it's Texas Tech versus BYU, so one of those two. Or both. I think both. Yeah. So you got Texas Tech. Like I said, I think Texas Tech may struggle early just with the quarterback coming off ACL, but I can see them moving to the Final Four. So you still need more SEC schools. Because really you've only got Georgia and Texas right now. And you've got three slots left. And you've got somebody that's going to be complaining that they barely lost it early in the season and they've been beating everybody, like in Alabama, Tennessee. Tennessee's not getting it, sorry. Come on, do it for Reggie White. Oklahoma. Oh, yeah. I mean, as much as you can. Oklahoma, LSU. You've got to get them in there for him. No, I don't see. What do you mean you don't see it? So one of the three, Alabama, LSU, and Texas A & M. And I'm not Texas A & M. I'd probably go Alabama. Just, once again, it's more exciting when Alabama's in it, even if they get their ass kicked. It is. But, I mean, that coach is good. I don't know why everybody's riding him so much. He's not saving. No matter what happens, he's not going to be saving, so he'll be gone. Yeah. Well, I like him. He might. That's like when they replace you. Whoever they bring in after you will probably be gone in a year or two. He has no choice. That's why Travis is listening right now. Good luck, Travis. How many spots we got left? I'm down to one. I've got Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas, Indiana, Miami, Louisville, Texas Tech, BYU, and Oklahoma. And if we're going way off the board and they have to take a non-Power 5, I'll say Army. Oh, man, how cool would that be? It would be cool. By the way, Jeff, if you've never heard it, I played it on this show one time, but if you've never heard the, I think it was post-game chant that that old man did, the coach that coaches them. Yeah. He's chanting to the team, and it sounds like one of those military drills where he talks about getting down and you bleed a little bit, but you get back up and you bleed a little more and you get knocked down and you get back up. And, oh, man, I'm telling you, you will go chills. That's another coach that you would want to go play for. I mean, that's just me going on. If you want someone out of the limb, that doesn't have to be the last team you guys pick, but that's my out-of-limb pick. That'd be an awesome one. That's a great question. They're center, second-team All-American. And they're one of those. They've got to win the games by three or four. If they win those games, they'll be the 10-1. How about– and they've got a JF product playing for them now. Slade. We're here. West Point. JF. He's going to Army. Oh, okay. Yeah. Cool. Yep. Baxters are chiming in saying Ole Miss makes it. Yeah. I don't see it. I see Ole Miss beating LSU, and then after that, they just start going down. Yeah. Let's wrap up the show. Sorry. I'm not invited back next year. Who would be somebody that's not in the top 25, somebody you're not even thinking about that could make the final 12, Brian? Look, it's That's a good point. Let me just skim through here real quick. I'm going to say West Virginia. Is that because we're meeting my wife after this? We're going to have– no, Rich Rod. I believe in Rich. Dude, why not? I don't know. I haven't looked enough at their schedule to see if it's even possible. Yeah, I should have looked before I said that too. But, yeah, I mean– It just takes a little bit of, I mean, just that guy that's got a pizzazz. And then the whole country starts rooting for him. They want him in there. And then they lose by 40 in the first round game. That's like the Liberty, Oregon, when Liberty was up 7-0 and everything was 37-7. Oh, my God, they have a chance. Yeah, exactly. Coastal Carolina. Is JMU a Division I school now? They are. Yeah, but they lost everybody, right? The coach took everybody so now the new coach is the old florida coach oh that's right so i'm looking to take the other receiving votes in the top 25 like liberty's got one. You know you're relevant when you're jmu and you've produced all these good coaches and now coaches that have been at big programs are dying to get to you. All right, quickly moving on to the NFL. That will wrap up. Well, I guess who's our pick to win the college football before we move on to the NFL? Who wins it all? Oregon. Oregon. Oregon's just stacked for me, even though I love Manning. Oregon is just, their interior linemen are huge. The year of the duck. Emma? Who wins it all, Emma? I'm going to have to say Clemson because of my sister. Do I believe it? I don't know. I'll tell you what, that would be an out-of-the-realm pick. Nobody's been talking about. I have to pick a person. I'm You know what? I'm going to go Oklahoma. Wow. And I'm going to say Oklahoma doesn't make it to the SEC championship game, but goes on a roll in the playoffs and wins it. Well, that game is just an extra game you don't need nowadays. I'm going Notre Dame. Oh, wow. I love that coach. Okay. Oregon, Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame. I'm looking at West Virginia's schedule. Jeff, I think you need to rethink this. Do you want to throw a bet out here or later? Of course he does. He's going to bet me whose meal comes out first. Which plate does she put down first? We'll think about it. I mean, my house is more fun if West Virginia is good. Yes. My house is more fun if I buy a vase. A blue and white one. You know, you go to... Texas Tech and you win that game, you are setting yourself up for a hell of a season. So West Virginia opens at Coastal. Right. They suck. UT Martin. Two wins. At Virginia. That's a win. Wow. Oklahoma State. And it's not at Virginia. It's actually in Charlotte. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then Oklahoma State. So if he goes 4-0. Iowa State, which is picked last. That's 6-0. Yeah. I'm telling you. It's going to be a typical– it's the way West Virginia was back in the day. They're going to be 9-0, and then they go Texas Tech, Houston, Utah. Yeah. Yeah, good luck with that. All right, moving on quickly to the NFL. Who do we think is coming out of the AFC? Now this, I'm going to say, is what Jeff is an expert in. I got the Texans. He's got the rings to prove it. How is your fantasy football draft strategy coming? I'm working on it. Did he tell you the strategy last year? Do you know what I did last year? No. All Redskins. I was so into Jaden Daniels, I thought this is going to be it. And the first week, I actually almost won. We went to that game, and they went off in the first half. Dude, I thought I was a genius at halftime. And then it just curtailed. He went 0-14. Yeah. Well. He's too worried about his jersey number. I had some close weeks. Yeah, I don't know. Jaden certainly, he's almost like Dion. He had all the hype and everything, and then he's just had some bad news. Just get out of your way and go play. Yeah, that's right. Go win again, and people will love you. Right. Do the Bills get it done with their new coach? Not with the new stadium. I heard the new stadium is a debacle. Really? Yeah. I've heard that, too. They've got seats that you can't see the field. That seems to be the new thing. You got all this technology and you can't figure out how to build a field that you can see everything. Yeah. By the way, when people talk about Yankee Stadium being the greatest, you can't look at right field from left field. No, you cannot. It's ridiculous. Nobody ever says that. I mean, this is the year they have to put it together. They picked up DJ Moore. So this, he has the weapons. I don't know. I think they're good offensive-wise defense. I don't see it. I'm leaning more Houston Texans with the defense. All right. Kansas City is quietly just doing Kansas City things. They've brought in a running back. A guy from Seattle. Yeah. They got their offense coordinator back. Yeah. Mahomes may play week one. They're not sure yet. Yeah. Carolina Kevin. We'll pipe him in. We'll get his thoughts. Definitely got to have his. It's going to be Dallas. Hello, Kevin. Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys. Maybe he's supposed to be hanging around like a loose tooth. Hanging around like a loose tooth. A slab of dentures in. The ice tray. It's Carolina Kevin. Oh, it's that guy again. Hello, Kevin. Maybe you don't have Kevin. New phones. I don't play cards with J.D. Shelnut. What? We don't even have a band, Randy. What the hell are you talking about? What is that? I've heard that. Sling blade. Like some fried taters. All right, Kevin, we're in the middle of NFL. We're picking. I heard somebody back there was chirping in the background. At least don't pick. That's what it's all about. Who do you got in the NFC and who you got in the AFC? I'm just. Going to tell you who's going to win the Super Bowl is the Rams. Oh, wow. Well, why don't you tell us who they're playing? They're going to be playing the Jaguars. Whoa. Wow. Let me scroll down on that one. Hey. Keep on laughing. Dippity-dappity-don't know what's happening back there. Sure. Clouding up and never raining. He's coming in with some high energy. Let's not forget, they do have that kid from Colorado, Hunter and Lawrence. But they're Jacksonville. Yeah. Speaking of cloud. Well, y'all make fun of the biggest analyst. All y'all always wrong. 110%. All right. Quickly, we'll get to NASCAR because we've got to get back to this stuff. But last week, you had a pretty good week. Oh, you jumped back to NASCAR? Yeah. Okay. It's his second out. Not yours. Well, I know, but he's not going to end out the show with us? You're trying to get him back off? Okay. All right. All right. Listen. Okay. Start nothing here. Well. Are we going to ask Jeff to pick three drivers? Oh, I couldn't do that. Number four, number nine, and number 13. Castor Nevis. All right. So, Kevin, just to let you know, I finished third last week. And, Kevin, you finished second. And Brian, that's why I wanted to bring this up, finished first. All three of his guys were in the top ten last week. Yay. This is Daytona. This week is Daytona. Who you got? Who you got in Daytona? Austin Dillon, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Larson. That's hilarious. I got both two of the same guys. Do you really? Mm-hmm. So who are your picks, Trent? I'm going Austin Sendrick. Keselowski and Larson. Okay. I'm going to go. Joey Logano. Fat Gano. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No, he's always good there. And he would have won me like 1600 bucks if he'd have won that damn race and he finished second. Man, I just. Oh, that's one thing I forgot to talk about the football show. I get to put money back in the fan door. Oh, good. I went four years, and I finally got down to zero, and I decided not to put any more in until college football started. As much as I. Hate to do this. We're not if and let Brian finish. I'm going to go. Sorry. I'm going to go Bubba Wallace. Okay. These are all good picks. Lewis. Kevin, I need to thank you for my Ralph Sampson basketball cards. That is badass. Sacramento Kings fresh minted cards. And thank you for my spaghetti sauce. Well, something happened and I'm pissed. One of his jars didn't make the trip. Did you wrap it in bubble wrap? Of course not. Paper. There was bubble wrap in the bottom of the box. Listen, I paid extra. When they say these lithium batteries and glass and everything else, I said yes. But do you want any insurance on it? Yes. You want me to put Fragile on there? Yes. Does it save this side up? Yes. But these people. Nowadays, they don't care, man. They'll chunk that stuff right on there and run over it twice. Then give it to you. Hmm. We might have some neighborhood cats on the front porch licking. I'm going to ask you this question. I do not want you to take this as an insult. This is just a question to ask you. Oh, my God. Why would you do this? Well, I just need to ask you this question. Is there a chance when you filled up Emma's jar for salsa that you might have been drinking and it's still tomato sauce? Because it doesn't look any different than the salsa. I mean, the salsa doesn't look any different than the spaghetti sauce. The salsa is more watery. If you turn it upside down, it's more watery because it's got more vegetables. In there with onions and the tomatoes. So, no, it's not a mix-up. Okay. I was going to get a bigger box to actually send you guys some tortilla chips to eat on the set, but I did not want. To, actually. Hey, I might put some out for Travis next week, and we'll have. There you go. Oh, wait a minute. I didn't get salsa. I only got spaghetti sauce. I'm not sure. Hell, it's the same. No, there was two small bottles that had sly, sexy salsa. Yep. It looks like restaurant style, the watery kind, liquidy, versus the chunky salsa. Salsa. Chi-Chi's. Remember Chi-Chi's? Why don't you try it instead of critiquing it? I don't have any chips. He didn't send any chips. He didn't send you any salsa either. I know. Was that what broke? Yeah, but that was Emma's. Yeah. So this was brought up last week. But the one that I did say, what does it say, though? Tell Trent what it says. Mine says Kev's Boss Sauce. Yep. But the salsa, the one that didn't break. Oh, that says Kev's Sexy Salsa. And that's for the what crew? I don't know. That was for all of y'all. Oh, I thought it was Emma's. There was one. One jar. Was. Good Lord. Well, how am I supposed to know? One jar was for me, but it broke. That boom broke. But we can share. I just see Schley's sexy salsa. But the other one that was sent had a tag that said it was for the crew. A Wednesday night. Life, liberty, and happiness crew. I'm excited about it. Don't break them. Oh, man. I pray for y'all all the time, every morning in a Walmart parking lot. What are we doing in a Walmart parking lot in the mornings? Because I go there and drink my coffee and pray for 30 minutes for Brian and Trent and Emma and everybody. All right. Hey, Jeff's got some words. I do, unfortunately. It was brought up last week about the Carolina Kevin fan club. Yes. My wife wants to be involved. Oh, my gosh. My mother has friends. So has Marty. Really? Kevin's got like this women fan club thing going on. Remember last year we were at the beach and we made you have Kevin say hi to my wife? Yeah. And she lost it. Kevin, can you do this in sequence? Hello, Julie. And then hello, Marty. And then what's your mom's name? Laura. Laura. I can't remember all that. I couldn't either. Hello, Julie. Hello, Marty. And hello, my girlfriend, Laura. Ain't no shame in this game. I just break it down a bag like James, please. Oh, where are you watching the race this weekend? Home. You're going to watch it at home. Hey, Kevin, I do just to get back to football real quick because you picked the Rams to beat the Jaguars in the NFL. Who is your NCAA championship game and pick? Or who's your pick to win it all? Oh, for college football? Yes, sir. Georgia. Okay. Georgia. Georgia. Okay. Yep. All righty. That was Carolina Kevin. Who did y'all pick for the NASCAR championship? Oh, we don't know yet. We don't have the final. We can't do that yet. We got to wait for the playoffs. I'll wait till Travis gets on here and he can tell us. I'll ask you next week. Are you going to call in next week? Even if your brother's not hosting. Brian's not hosting next week. Where is he going? Alaska. I'll be in Alaska for two weeks. Boys he reminds me of a butter knife not the sharpest tool in the box. Never a dull moment all right. All right so we got to get our NFL picks so who's in your Super Bowl. And all right so Jeff's got Houston. Yeah it's Houston on the AFC side. And who's on the NFC side I'm a Bears guy okay Caleb Williams gets it done. Dude, that is one guy that has surprised me. I thought for sure when he became around adult men that he was too childish to succeed. I mean, he sure is a hell of a damn good player. Yeah. Well, he got lucky that he got the coach that he got. True. That thing still worked out. Yeah. Ben Johnson. Yeah, that guy has definitely surprised me. He's got talent around him too, so. Yeah. Who are you picking to win it? I like Houston. Houston. That'd be the first time. That'd be a first win. Yeah. First time winner. Gosh, you got the Houston team winning before the Cowboys. That's amazing. Texas, they'll fire Texas. I mean, good Lord. That would not be good. So, Brian, since you host, I'll come up and you can wrap it in. Okay. I'm going to go. I'm really struggling because in the NFC, I would love for this guy to win it. But I'm going to choose the Rams to make the Super Bowl instead of Tampa Bay. That's– I would love– So why is– I'm just curious. Why is everybody high on the Rams? I mean, what's– They picked up Miles Garrett. Okay. And Aaron Donald's supposed to be sneaking back in in a couple weeks. Yeah. That's exactly why. And they were good anyway. I mean, Stafford, he's like 38, 39 years old. He takes one shot. I mean, that's all relying on him playing through the whole year, and I don't think it's going to happen. But they did pick up a quarterback, right, in the draft? Yeah. Alabama guy. Yeah. Simpson. And then they have the old Georgia guy. Who's the. Oh, yeah. His man. The old. He was like a 25-year-old quarterback. The one to rehab. Oh, yeah, yeah. Gosh. That guy. Stetson Bennett? Yes. Stetson Bennett. Yeah. Bringing it. Man, I don't know. In the AFC, it's just so crazy. I mean, Buffalo seems like the easy one to pick, and no one has yet. So I'm going Buffalo. Okay. And I'm going to pick Buffalo to win it all. Wow. I would love to see that, just because obviously I like that coach. All right. Oh, wait. We've got to get Emma. Emma, who's in your Super Bowl? The Bills? I love the Bills. And who else? Dad and I have been rooting the Bills for like six years now. It hasn't happened. Bandwagon fans. Tootie. The Bills playing who? I don't really care. Okay. Thank you. I don't know, man. Nobody's said Kansas City yet. I mean, it's just hard to go against them ever. All right. You don't care who Buffalo's playing? You got to pick a Super Bowl matchup. I always get confused on who's on which side. Well, there's also Google. I'm going to go Denver. Wow. The Broncos. Out of the AFC and out of the NFC. Man, I really do like this guy. And I really do think they're going to be the surprise team. But I just can't see them winning enough in the playoffs to make it to the Super Bowl. But I really do think the Giants are going to be really good. Really? Yeah. They'd have to start winning. You almost have to win some before you become. Yeah, but you brought in a Super Bowl coach. From 15 years ago. Okay, but let's not think that he's been bad in Baltimore. Well, I'm from Baltimore, so I have friends, a lot of Baltimore fans. They were not sad to see him leave. I know that. His time had kind of passed. Okay. Hey, where did Tomlin go? But you've got– Oh, he's on the air. Yeah. So you don't believe in the quarterback– You don't think he's the. I just worry he's going to Blue Tent. I mean, he plays Reckless. He already went to Blue Tent in preseason. Okay. Scataboo. I love Scataboo. I love... I just like those players. Malik Neighbors. I don't know. I think they got some. And that defense was coming on last year. I don't know. I just think they're going to be really good under him. Sometimes a chain of scenery for the coach is a good idea. We'll see. It worked for Kansas City. Reed. They were tired of him in Philadelphia, weren't they? I think they're getting tired of him in Kansas City. Which is sad. All right. Gosh. Yeah. I'm going to go out of the NFC. I will go Detroit. Oh, man. Detroit and Denver. That would be fun to watch. That would be a great matchup. Okay, wait. Against the Lions. Okay. Oh, so you're picking them, too? Nice. You just waited to see what everybody else picked, and then you just picked a team that's also on that same team. I love Jared Goff. Google works. That's how I did this whole show today. Jared Goff. So who are you picking to win the whole thing, Brian? Detroit? Yeah, I'll go Detroit. I love Denver. I love Campbell. That's pretty cool. Who is the MVP this year? If we get Detroit winning, it's got to be Goff. Yeah. Or Gibbs, the running back. I would say golf. Yeah. Golf. I just feel like the Bears are going to have a down year. I know everybody is high on them, but I just. They played well last year, and Williams pissed away two, three games. Yeah. Which I could see that happening again. That's true. I got the Buffalo quarterback. Shot down? Yeah. Is Green Bay just not relevant anymore? Oh, man. I keep thinking this could be when they show up. They just don't do it. Well, they– what's this? You called it with Dallas traded– Yeah, Parsons. Parsons. You said this will end up better for Dallas. Yeah. And Parsons literally. Has not played hardly. He's hurt again going in. He is. Yeah. And it's– He'll come back for one game when they play Dallas, so it becomes a big hype thing. He gets two sacks, and they think he's had a great year, and he ends up the season with three. Yep. Usually it doesn't work out well when you pay your pass rusher the top money. Yeah. Oh, Emma. Yeah. I sent you an email for end of show. Yeah, and I emailed you back. It didn't work. It didn't? No. So do we just– Seattle's irrelevant being the Super Bowl champs. They were dominant last year. Both running backs are gone. Charbonnet tours ACL and Walker's in Kansas City. That's why a lot of people like Kansas City. Yeah. But, I mean, they only lost three games last year, and they probably could have won them all. And I could, if Joe Burrow stays healthy, Cincinnati could be good. They could get back to their winning ways. They've added a few pieces on defense. I think Al Golden is now coaching their defense. They are fun to watch. Patriots have a down year after having a good year. They picked up A.J. Brown. People were excited by that, but supposedly the schedule's tougher. The worst thing the Patriots could have done was go to the Super Bowl. They could have just lost in the playoffs and it would have been a great season. Now everybody thinks this is the year. They traded Boutte. Well, they picked up Romeo Dobbs, the guy. Remember the big helmet guy on the Packers? Oh, yeah. Yeah. But I think this is the year for the Bills. If not, they've got to start looking to break it up. I agree. So, Emma, sorry I wasn't participating there because I was trying to send you another one. But I sent you another one that I really would rather play. You'll see it come up. All right. Well, he's playing around. Let me figure out from you. Yeah. Not that one. Who's your Heisman pick? Heisman? Yep. I like Manning, but the fact I'm going to take Oregon to win it all is Moore. Yeah. Quarterback for Oregon. And they've got a good backup, right? They have that Nebraska backup. Yes. I mean, I think Moore would have been top ten pick this year if he went out, but I figure I'm going to make the same money in Oregon. Yep. Trent? I'm going to go a Notre Dame running back. They don't have any. That's where I'm going. I'm picking to win the whole thing. It's somebody you hadn't heard of yet. A Notre Dame quarterback is a favorite to win the Heisman. His name is Aeneas Williams. I used to be a cornerback for the Cardinals. What are you doing? I'm just telling you. When you guys– Well, when you get your money in FanDuel, you go put money on that guy if he wins. I know I don't have one of those rings, but that's where I'm going. Aeneas Williams. Yeah. From the Cardinals. Yeah. No. All right. I don't know. I think this year is one of those years where the Heisman comes from, you know, like we don't know going into the season. So, I don't know that I have a pick, to be honest with you. As they say, if Ohio State wins, it splits between the quarterback and the receiver. Yeah. I'm saying, or. Yeah. But, at the same time. Now, wait a minute now. Does Alabama have that wide receiver back? Yes. All right. Now, he's. Even if they don't win, that guy is phenomenal. I think he's who I picked last year to be the husband. But the question is, can they give him the ball? That's true. All right. Good. Thank you, Jeff, for coming in. Yeah, that was awesome. I appreciate it. Expert. Hopefully it doesn't jinx you and you lose a ring this year. It hasn't worked for me yet. You have to put your ring up. It's not like a belt where you give up your ring. He and Dave Baxter have two. Who else has won? Chris Jones. Chris Jones has won. Have you even finished in the top five? First year or second. Oh, wow. Pretty sure. Second, fourth, something like that. You've got to change your strategy. It doesn't. It's just for fun. You draft and then you don't make any transactions after that. You just live with what you pick. Everybody else keeps up with the whole season. It's just not worth it. Everybody else actually does what you're supposed to. Yeah, I know, but I think you should draft based on who you think how they'll do this year. You shouldn't pick anybody else after that. All right, so the season starts this weekend, right? Yeah. College, yes. College football. So what's the big game this weekend? So in my house, it's UVA and North Carolina. I mean, NC State. That is probably the big game of the week. We have Audrey. I just texted the girls, no fighting this weekend. So I've got Audrey and Riley. Battling. Okay. And Riley said no promises. Who are you taking in that game? I grew up a UVA fan, so Audrey knows that. So I'll probably root for Virginia. But all it takes is one crappy quarter, and I'm already against them, and I'll be rooting for NC State. I have no real allegiances to anybody anymore. First game is Carolina TCU in Ireland. And that's where they got crushed last year. Yeah. And that happens again, I think. It doesn't seem to be any other. Hawaii, Stanford, Florida State, New Mexico State. And then we skip to the Thursday games the following week, which I will be on a cruise, so I will not be able to watch. I don't think. I don't know. I haven't been on a cruise in 20 years. I'm sure they'll have it. All right. Good. Have a good week, and we finish with Dolly Parton, a little tribute. Yep. Trent will take over next week, so I'm sure ratings will be down, but let's... Let's keep our subscriptions. You can find us on YouTube at LLH underscore podcast. Yeah. Or all of our social media platforms, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook. Now it's on to 300. Yeah. Subscribers. All right. See you next week. Yep. Little pigeon took a big dump on his head and flew to Rocky Top. What do you think? Well, I wish that I was on old. Rocky Top down in the Tennessee Hill. Cause there ain't no smoke, no smoke on Rocky Top. Ain't no telephone bill. Now, but once I had me a man on Rocky Top, half bear, the other half cat. But he was wild as a mink, but he was sweet as soda pop. Awesome thing about that. Oh, Rocky Top, you'll always be home sweet home to me. Good old Rocky Top. Rocky Top, Tennessee. Rocky Top, Tennessee. How about you, you big one? Want to pick one? I know you did. I know he always wants to. Now once two strangers climbed old Rocky Top looking for a moonshine still. Strangers, they come down from Rocky Top and some say they never will. Did you know corn don't grow at all on Rocky Top? The dirt's too rocky by far. And that's why all the folks on. Rocky Top get their corn from a jar. Oh, Rocky Top, you'll always be home sweet home to me. Good old Rocky Top. Rocky Top, Tennessee. Rocky Top, Tennessee.
