Yeah, heck yeah, it's gonna be great. We've got a great show planned for you today. That was a kid rock from the RNC, which we haven't really been able to talk much about. Well, we'll talk about the rn C and what a terrific convention it was a little later on in the show, their top ten in the second hour is things that pissed Me off. So that's gonna be a long that's a long list. They limited you to ten. Yeah, I don't know how I was able to keep it to that. But anyway, I'm excited about the show. Thank you to David Honaker and State Farm for being longtime sponsors as well as seeing US business services. So, without further ado, this day in History and now for the rest of the story, This Day in History online, Liberty, Happiness. All right, This day in nineteen eighty or excuse me, nineteen ninety eight, Saving Private Ryan was released. Did you see that movie Trap? Yes? I did, Tom Hanks, Yeah, that's an awesome movie. Yeah. It's one of those where it's kept like the Full Metal Jacket had like it seemed like it was two different movies. It's like you had the whole build up and then after, you know, the Full Metal Jacket felt like it just it died off. Didn't have like a real good ending. It just it was boot camp Vietnam, Yes, and then that's it. It was. Saving Private Round was similar for me that it was so great at the beginning and then in the middle, and then it just seemed different at the end. It wasn't as I don't know. I guess it was because the beginning was so devastating. I need to watch it again. I watched it a couple years back, just on a Saturday, I didn't have anything else to do. Yeah, and I picked that movie and it was such a good movie. The people say it brought them to tears when they saw it in the theaters. I was like, man, this would yeah if I had that experience. I think some World War Two veterans said I heard that. They said they just they had to leave the theater just it was. Yeah, I heard something similar, even people who were in different wars throughout since then, they said I had to leave. They were like, I just couldn't. I couldn't handle it. All right, what did you have? I got the Lance Armstrong I saw that, Yeah, I just I looked it up and there was actually a couple of other things. Regis Philbin, Yeah he died, yeah, back in twenty twenty. But this one, I figured, if I could pick one, this was the one with l Lance Armstrong winning his seventh towards France. But obviously he has none of those anymore. Yeah, they took him away, blood dupe. Yeah, and when it happened, we had no They always accused him when he was winning them, and then you know, it wasn't until several years later that they see I was too young. I was too young to even Yeah, he was understand any of that. Even when it came out. I was still too young to understand what was going on. I just knew it's bad. I guess I'm at the point where cycling, not in other sports, but cycling. Let him do whatever. Let's just see who wins the pump up their thighs. Yeah, let him go. It's cycling, for Lord's sakes. I mean, I don't I don't get it. I don't know why. I don't know. You're never going to keep everything out of it, So let them let them. Yeah's we have that place here in town that trains cyclist. Did you know that? Where's that? It's right here across the train tracks. Oh, what's it calling? Oh gosh, why would you ask me that? Because you brought the guys. The guy invented a contraption that fits on the bike that literally the top cyclist in the world used and it measures their output. Uh, And so they come here, simulator. Yeah, people actually come here to train. If you see by cyclists, apparently the Blue Ridge Mountains are very similar to what they race with over there many bikes on the road as it is like, I had no idea that they did that here and it is. I'm looking it up now, I'm atting Bikes on the Road and my top ten list. It's pretty interesting. The guys I know, the guy who owns it, I just can't think of what it's called, but you could. You'll see him training out of that when you leave here today. Peaks Coaching Group never heard of it before, but neither but the guy is a really cool guy and he makes a killing off of it. I bet he does high tech. Yeah, and this was years ago that he invented that, so, I mean, from what I understand, they still use it like it's the it's the really cool thing to do. So anyway, moving on to drama. All right, uh hill Billy Elegy. I talked about it last week and I finally I went and watched it. I watched it last night as a matter of fact, just for the show, just for the chef. But it was really good. And what's amazing is when I grew up. This is just to show you the difference between the decades or whatever, you know, the area you grow up in. I grew up in the eighties. This would have been a sort of a normal story, but it would have been this is kind of the way the presidential elections went. Then they would show the human side of these politicians and what they grew up in. Right, And that's what this reminded me of. And it all back then. The politicians were trying to convince you they could help you achieve the American dream, which when I grew up was family, house, Like that was your job, family and house. That was the American dream. Then you retire, right, Yes, that was what was in these candidates, even Democrats and both would their convention would all would be about you know, this is what I you know, I came from nothing, and this is you know, how they can get you there? Yeah, doing their way. Yeah, and that's kind of the what when I watched this, it took me back to that. I was like, damn, that is exactly what you wanted. New Gingridge said it years ago that that's we stopped dreaming as a country. We stopped hoping and thinking we could provide newer things to a generation. And I swear to god, I watched this and I thought, man, there's a guy who just refused to allow his situation to control him. He did he did and it proves that with hard work and dedication, you can make something of yourself. Right, And to see where he's at now and it was so cool. So of course I saw his family there and I saw him talk about his mom. When you watch the movie and now know where she's at now, it's like wow, you know, holy cow. Yeah, and so yeah, I would definitely recommend going to see it. I I when I was watching it and I saw who produced it and some of the actress actresses in it, I was like, man, why would liberals do something for a Republican? And then it dawned on me that Dad E. Vance wasn't into politics up until I think twenty twenty two. So, I mean, he's fresh fresh. They didn't know, they didn't know what they were getting into. No, it's a lot like Trump. Like, if you want to go back before twenty sixteen, everybody loved Trump. He was on the view, he was on all the night shows. Yeh, his TV show. Yeah. Just all you had to do was put an R in front of your name and you are tracked. Well, he said to himself, he said, y'all all loved me when I was a Democrat. Yeah, but uh, that's the way Reagan was too. People forget Reagan was a Democrat at one time. Ronald Reagan. Yeah, and then it all changed and it's you know, a lot of people say, what is that you don't have a heart in your eighteen to thirty You don't have a heart if you're not a Democrat or something like that. But then once you start paying after that, you don't have a brain if you're Yeah, I think my dad's My dad's told me that a couple of times. He's a smart man. Tulca Gabbert she was also a Democrat, flipped. Yeah, she a senator. She was a congress congress, Yes, from Hawaii. And her whole story is interesting. If you ever get a chance, you should you should look that up because she sort of blew the lid off of what really happens behind the scenes. Yeah, and I really wish Republicans would learn that too, because I think before twenty sixteen we did the exact same thing. And her whole spiel was when I got there, they literally put us in a room and separated us and said you're not allowed to do any talking or to anybody without their permission, and this will determine how you move up and you start getting you know, different committees and assignments according to how well you go along. And you know, they shoved her to the Democrat National Committee, and basically she was working because she was so popular. She was working her way up and got to be i think either the chair or co chair and realized this is all corrupt, and so she basically threw him all under the bus. And you know, and then she's ran for president and Hillary Clinton called her a Russian asset. She currently still serves in our military. Yeah, she still serves. She was on the Jocko Willink podcast. I don't even know Jocko Willink at all, but I'll listen to him every once in a while. He's good to listen to. Yeah, and she's been on there multiple times. I think they're friends. And he'll have her on and it's not a political show. It's more about discipline and getting going. And they'll go on there and he'll talk with her, not specific to Republican or Democrat, but they'll just talk about politics. They try very hard to not make it a political show. But they're friends from the military. He was a seal and they have their chats on podcasts or once they'll go for four or five hours. Oh wow, and it'll just be She's an interesting character. I like her. I think she's She's not somebody I would mess with, that's for sure. Uh some reason, I've been going I need a new series. I've been watching stupid Dateline at night. Do you watch that? Emma just go to bed next to it? So no, Well, I don't know why. I just first of all, I will say this, I find it fascinating what idiots will do to another human being. I don't understand it, like some of that stuff. Serious. Yeah, I watched one the other night that was all the people involved all of them were wealth and I mean wealth wealth, like billionaires, and they end up killing he ends up killing his ex wife, ends up killing himself, and then his girlfriend goes to prison because she was involved in it. And it's like, all three of you are idiots, I mean even the one that got murdered. I mean, why why put yourself in any of these predicaments? It's crazy. I always told my wife, if you've had enough of me, and you know my wife, if you have enough of me, don't kill me. Just tell me to get out. I will go willingly. Just don't kill me. Yeah, don't kill me. Don't kill me. How do you watch that before bed? I don't know, Because I like confident in my Christianity. I sleep well. I mean, I don't know. I understand what you're saying. If I watch too much of it, then I start dreaming. But I don't know. Dateline is okay, I like it. One of my favorite it's is the first forty eight just because I love the lies that these idiots tell when they get brought in for questioning, like first forty eight hours. Yes, when they they will tell the dumbest lies and it's like we have video not ami. Yes it is. Oh, it's just crazy. But anyway, what's your you you have a recommendation for me? Yeah? So I like Shooter, which kind of reminds me of the Trump assassination. Yeah, I'm gonna go back and watch that. Yeah, go back and watch that. They got the movie and the TV show. They had the TV show on USA Network, and that was awesome. I'm talking heart rate at one ten the whole time. I think I remember a lot of it, and I've seen the Ranch. Yeah, the Ranch. That's good. I'm working my way back through that. I've seen it before, but I usually just need something when I put my head on the pillar at night to go to sleep, too, So I'm just working my way back through that, not anything like after I fall asleep. I have to remember the exact minute mark that I was. I just keep on going. That's right. And Suits I don't know if you, I don't know if you watched Suitsan, but of course, great, that's phenomenal. That's all. There's a new one coming out there is well, oh like it's no, oh, they're going another season. Yes, I thought they were done. No, they did not, just so. Yeah, they tried to do the Piercing spin off and that only lasted a season. I think I think this one. Yeah, it's uh, let's see Suits it's called Suits La. It's still the same. Oh that's right. So they're kind of yeah, moving out West it Suits season tens. That's how they ended off, right when Harvey and Don and all of them were headed back moved to moving to Mike. Yes, I've only watched four episodes. Two's really after the fifth one, you get into it. It's really good. That's phenomenal, aren't they Just like an hour long. Yeah, they're forty five minutes, but you got to carve out time in your night to watch it. Yeah, but it's it's one of those you'll remember that minute mark. Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, definitely great recommendation. All Right, you're listening Life, Liberty, Happenings. Now onto sports. It's time for sports, all right. Olympics. I was just trying to look when they start. I think it is tomorrow opening ceremonies. Now, as a kid, that used to be one of my favorite times because Olympics back then was every four years. It didn't split the way it does summer and winter. Yeah one it was one year you had summer and winter. So it was so exciting. And it was a little bit different back then because we didn't have a lot of professionals that played like the NBA teams. Yeah, so it was it was very competitive and very prideful. I mean you you really pulled for the USA, and it was less politics. God, they've made it so horrible now. But anyway, it's it's coming up, and I was curious before the show. I click on it and I'm like, I wonder how many sports? Oh my god, it's ridiculous. How many sports they got. Yeah, they do underwater polo, basket weaving. I mean, they'll do anything. And I'm looking through this and I see where it is. Where did I put What was the trampoline? What the hell is that? I don't know. Oh, that's like the gymnastics, you know when they do the flippies on the trampoline, the flippies brin, it's a gymnastics thing. Well, I didn't know. I didn't know what the hell it was. So obviously basketball is probably the most popular one that now. I will agree. Girls have screwed it all to hell. They screwed it up big time. Let's just be honest if Caitlyn confidence saying that, because if Caitlyn Clark was on the team, I would be wah, yeah, you're talking about like the girl's basket. Yes, oh yeah, Well Kaitlyn Clark opted out, didn't she? Or did she just not make it? No, they didn't put her on it. I thought there was somebody that dropped out it was injured, and they were like, oh, they should get Clark out there. Still did That's ridiculous. Caitlyn Clark is, who's it's not? Angel Reese. No, don't let anybody tell you it's it's Kaitlyn Clark's getting people to watch the WNBA, of course, and even I watch it, Like I tell my wife, Oh, I think the Indiana Fever's playing there. I mean, I wouldn't watch a stupid game, right, but now I do. I don't watch the games at all. I'm interested when something on the ESPN Instagram page comes up, I'll actually watch it. Now. Yes, dude, she can, I'm telling you. Her assists or way better than anybody. I mean, she can freaking play basketball. But I'm not gonna watch the girls because they're gonna beat every team by thirty points. And if they were gonna beat by thirty points anyway, why not put her on the team and at least have eyeballs watching. Now, Yeah, it was stupid. It was a dumb move. But the men's are just as bad because they put a team together that obviously isn't as good as they thought it was. It's supposed to be an all star team. It was supposed to be as good as the original Dream Toast to be. Yeah, it's supposed to be a second part Dream Team. No, I mean they're squeaking by these showcase I noticed a couple of games. I was like, you only beat them by ten South suited in, like, I don't even know what that's going. One hundred points, Like, you didn't score one hundred points. You can pick any given night on NBA they're scoring one hundred, yes or over. You couldn't even score a hundred points here. No, that was against Germany. But I found this clip. This is Steve Kerr, who's the coach right, listen to this clip cut one. Her team clearly isn't ready to compete at the Olympics. That's why I've decided to make a change to the Ross. I wanted to announce here in front of everyone that that we've decided to add Bronnie James to Team USA. After talking to Lebron, he convinced me that what our team really needs is an undersized guard who can't shoot. So there you have it, folks. I can't wait to see Bronnie and Lebron win a gold medal together. Had you had you had me, you saw me look up at you, you had me, Oh my goodness. Obviously that is AI driven. But that's hilarious because they're not too far from this. I mean, they got rid of Kawhi Leonard because apparently that he didn't work. I got my whole thing on Bronnie James. Anyways, I think he will be a great athlete, a great athlete. I think will be a great player, I hope. So I got my whole different thing. I'm not even gonna go across on that one. Yeah, we'll see how well, you know, we'll see how that plays out. But anyway, I saw that clip and I thought, oh, this would be great for the show man got me, Is there a sport that you're interested in right now? No, I mean, nothing's going on. Baseball's going on. That's just that normal stuff going on. Sken's got his first loss. I saw that last night. Was it last night? Yeah? It was, because of course that was I put the Pirates in my parla because he was playing, yeah, and so I was all excited. And then I saw they lose one nothing, and I'm like, of course, yeah, he Well that's the first loss in what fourteen months. He's the real deal. He is, and I will say I love him. He's great, he's awesome. They've protected him a lot because he has not gone into the ninth inning, correct since like before his last loss, So they've protected him. But that's part of the job. That's part of the job. It's a business out there, you know, that's part of the job. So I don't take anything out on that. But I mean, his first loss in fourteen months, regardless of how long you pitch, Yeah, at least six innings. If you pitch at least six innings, that's impressive. Yeah. Got to see just when Logan down at LSU. I mean it was when no one, no one thought that he was that good, right, and then he just became like he was an animal. Yeah, he is absolute animal. And that you know again when he when they picked, when he was picked number one overall, you assume he's going to have to struggle a little bit. Man. He makes it look like Little League, like the six foot four kid that's playing in twelve. You that's what it makes him look like. But he's a big dude. He's he's still a big day. He's like what six ' nine. Yeah, he's a big joker, he is, and he's slinging that bill. Yeah. I'd like to see him last the way Nolan Ryan did. Just be great for fifteen years, and Nolan Ryan would pitched eleven innings and then turn around three days later pitch nine. So I don't think his arm can take that. No, but we'll see. I mean, you're right, that's that's great F one. It's trip leould say if you was in Hungry last week. I'm a big GIF one fan. I just the whole sport. It just interests me. I'm not, it's the whole. It's from start to finish. It's knowing the different aspects of the of the car, the people, the it's I don't know, it's different. If I took some time to invest some time into that, checking out NASA, what you're talking about, I mean NASCAR and F one, I might get interested in it. But it's just hard Nascar I grew up on. So that's the only reason I still like that. Yeah, but F one I didn't know anything about until A Trent recommended watching the Netflix, and once I watched one season, I was hooked because it's the whole business side of it, the money side of it. It is only twenty cars, so you only have twenty drivers, and they're like it's they're gone every year, like there's new, you know, and it's it is a it's a hard business. Now, the races themselves tend to be boring. F one. You don't just it's not a circle in F one, right, it's like through cities. Yeah, yeah, see that would interest me. But it's it's so you'll get one driver that'll be five seconds faster than everybody else, right, But it's also calculated because there's pitting and there's not pitting, and there's different strategies and it's so all of that stuff comes into play. But then when it's raining that weekend, it's totally different. Yeah, different tires, different everything, and there's just it's it's a unique thing. But what's crazy about is so many weird things, like you like, there'll be a team that'll come out and say, yeah, we're just we're not going to be competitive this year. You know. Excuse me, I guess like a rebuilding year. Is that what? I don't know, Like they'll say they'll even say we're not going to be competitive to probably twenty twenty seven. You know, like, excuse me. Could you imagine that America is saying that that's a lot of money law, but they say it and you and sunof I mean, McLaren is one of them. They were like, we'll be you know, probably twenty twenty four will be competitive, and here they are. It's like they know. It's like yeah, I mean it's not like it's the technology. I think. I think it's so engineers, computers driven and they see what's coming, like it's weird to me. A Red Bull right now, it's just dominant. That is one thing I do know that Red Bull is is taking George. They have, but they lost last week and so I'm curious this first time they've really not been good. They finished fifth and eighth, so I'm curious to see if this is new or if it's long lasting. So that was Oscar Piastri, who was with McLaren, won his first race ever, so that was fun to see. And then this week there at the Belgian Grand Prix, which I thought, if NASCAR ever got off on a different series, like if they ever did Iraq. Iraq used to be a big thing back in their day and you just travel to each country the way f one does with NASCAR, I think it'd be so cool. Like the live golf tournaments, yes, yeah, people unders didn't live and then they come to the Green Brier they sold out I know. I want to get media passes, get media passed. I'll be there. I got ten free tickets see because I am fortunate enough to know somebody who works for Live okay, and she was like, I might be able to give you hospitality, but I don't know. All right, well, next year you keep that connection. That connection is not going anywhere. Prom I want. I promise that connections not going anywhere. I want. I want to do a media I want because Trent and I did the media thing with Bob Good and it was so much fun. And I might with the media pass. Yeah, flash the pass well right by everybody, put us in the front row. And I'd love to do some media stuff. I mean our basketball that we do. You should definitely join the crew and do a sport. I would do it, dude, I would do much fun. Yeah, I definitely do that. It is so much Do it for l c A. I mean, it's great. We we have a bast don't we am. I'm musa start doing the sideline reporting. I'll just do it for Liberty right now, right correct, Yeah, I be honest with you. I'm probably just gonna do Liberty Girls this year. Liberty Girls. They are so good. That's right, they are good. Them in Brookville always are like one and two of course. Yeah, well it's l c A, you know. But they lost right good amounts. Did they really? Did the girl graduate? Yeah? All of them, it was all of them. They were they were senior Layton last year. I remember watching their someone was I think that her name, but she might have been what his wife that was streaming? No, no, that'd be ridiculous, but someone was streaming it. I watched the state championship game. Yes, she's she was good. I think she's going to AILU. Yeah, well Avery mil Yes she was. She was gross. But then, I mean, Liberty this year gets all that talent because the guard from JF came to Liberty. Really, oh you're talking about Liberty Bedford. Sorry, yes, I'm saying Liberty Bedford is good. But now they've added the guard from JF. How did you get her? Huh? She was O'Brian, Tell me how you got her? Well, I'm saying she actually lived in the but then she kept transferred to JF. Okay, now she's coming back home. I got you. Yeah, that's reasonable. No, I'm just saying it goes both ways. I know, goes both ways. Listen, I will tell you of all schools, Liberty Bedford is struggles with. I think they lost four more to JF. I mean it's a smaller school. It didn't used to be. That's what's crazy. Like when I was coaching at Rustburg, Liberty was the big school in the seminole. Liberty and Amherst the two A right now yeah two A yeah, big drop yeah JS four A. It's just crazy. Now. I think their numbers are going to start changing. There's a lot of development happening right now. That's what I'm building two minutes from Liberty High School. Yeah, so, I mean I think I think, I don't know they'll ever get back to the numbers they were. I mean they were in the eleven one hundred and some was that low four A high three A. Yeah, it's low middle four and one time they were they were big and they were dominant. My god, they were good. They went through a ten year period where they won ten games a year. I remember, well that's when they were early two thousands, when they were winning this football state championships. Yeah and everything like that, right, Yeah, they were so good and then it just I don't know, it's like it talent dropped off, and you know, we had that one good year in twenty nineteen, but ever since then it's just been of course, we lost Chris Watts. Yeah, he was so good. If he's good enough to go from high school to college. Yeah, and when Davidson rank he did. And I'm gonna go watch a couple of games at Davidson. It was fun to catch up with him last year. He is uh, I'm telling you, he is a genius when it comes to running the triple option. It's so much fun to watch. And people call him all the time and ask him questions. Like we go to a Sunday meeting and Brad Bradley, the Brookville coach, all of them would call Chres, Hey, I'm playing such and such this weekend. You got anything. I mean, he's been around for so long. Yeah, very knowledgeable. Oh yeah, let's see what else do we have? Nascars? NASCAR is the Brickyard. Kyle Larson won. It was it was okay. I don't know. They didn't throw a caution at the end until after the white flag, so I'm not sure what was going on there. The Brickyard is Indian out right yeah, okay, Yeah, that's the first time NASCAR has ran the Old in three or four years. I've always felt like that was a staple track used they not, I mean not anymore. Well, they never raced it for a long time, and then all of a sudden in the mid nineties they started going there and it was real popular, and then it sort of died off because it didn't produce a lot of good races. It was just boring. It's so big, and they weren't getting the fans there, so they went away from it. They started doing a road course there, but then that was so bad. Now they've brought it back and it's popular again, so we'll see how long it lasts. But yeah, it's it's a big race. But that Richmond, Uh, they're off for two weeks was just odd. NASCAR's never off, but they're off for two weeks. And then they got Richmond, which that's not going to be a good race because the track is horrible. So anyway, you got anything else for sports? No, what's the thing you had? Trampoline or bad? Yeah, that was the sport that was bad. Olympics, Yeah, badminton. Well, if you if you asked me i'd say trampoline. I guess what I'm saying is where do you train in the USA for trampoline or badminton? Who's playing badminton competitively around here? If you ask me, pick a ball? See or disc golf? Yeah, that's pretty popular. Is it an Olympics? I don't know. I don't know about that. Trampoline is a lot more popular than you think it's at all of the girls like gymnastics. They just do flippies. All right. I can't watch gymnastics anymore. I used to. You don't watch LSU gymnastics, not for any reason, not for any reason whatsoever. Yes, not for any reason. Yes, I heard she was coming back from one more coming back I saw on Instagram. Oh yeah, I watched them one more tag. But that would be it, all right. I don't know if younger people watch that. I did watch it a little bit here and there. I watched Trump's speech on was it Thursday night? Yeah, I watched half of that right before I went to bed. I mean I saw a bunch of different people speak Kyle Trump. I think she might have won the election for a granddaddy. I mean that was She was great. Yeah, And just a topic she chose to talk about was this is my granddad. This is what he's like. I don't know why y'all try to make him out to be such a bad person. This is who my granddad is to me. Yes, Oh, I thought she was phenomenal. Yeah, and she's very well worded. Yeah. All the momentum, everything is looking good. You're you're gearing up for this race between Trump and Biden, and then the Democrats do what they always do they you know, I go to DC this weekend and I start getting phone calls text from people going, hey, you meet with Biden and telling them to drop out, And all of a sudden, that's when I read Biden dropped out. So it's crazy to me because the media, like you, you assumed they had to go with Kamala because I just think they were her bid, right, like that's her ticket to lose unless she drops out. I mean, I could be wrong. I agree with you. I do think that it kind of was that, except the Democrats always say democracy in this, that and the other, yet they're the one choosing their nomine yes, not the people. I saw a tweet about that. They said, you're Democrat elites say it's all about democracy, but force the president out and they're not going to use Kamala. So they're gonna force her out and then use their money to pick who they want. Yeah, And was it y'all that said that last week that they can't use campaign money somewhere else or did I hear that somewhere right? No, that is true. So, but they claim they're going to use it anyway and then deal with the deal with the problems after the election, which is what Democrats always do. Yeah, just kick it down the road and we'll see what happens. Trump is suing because of that, because you can't use other people's campaign money, right, even if it's Kamala Harris like within the same Nope, roof, nope, Nope, can't do it. They've got all this money. Now there's a process that you can, but they won't go through the process. I'm sure it's a long process starting from zero. I mean, what do they do with all that money. I just get to people that when the media, I mean, they are just loving her, right, She's the greatest thing they've ever seen a first woman. I literally heard and this is no joke. Van Jones of CNN literally said after the RNC convention, he said, I hate to say this, but that is the most energized I've ever seen a crowd other than the two thousand and eight Barack Obama. And he said, all the momentum is Trump's and this is his to lose. Literally, last night, I've never seen people rally around Kamala Harris the way. That's what he said last night. He goes this is hers to her for her to lose. He said, she's already winning this race in less than I mean, it just all it takes is one night and they've totally changed. I mean it's the same situation as Obama if you think about well, not the same. Different. But she's black, she's a woman, but he's articulate. At least she cannot are articulate a point. It's like Joe Biden, except it's better word. Yeah. Well, so this is what I think. Here's the problem. Like Trump's got what were thirty thousand on average to come to his stuff and then indoors ten to twelve thousand. Her campaign yesterday was three three people really, or excuse me, three thousand, says that's three thousand and two secret Service agents. Right, it was three thousand people there, and the news said that was the most that her and Joe have ever drawn. But they're making it sound like that is a massive crowd. Well, Joe didn't campaign. He sat in his basement, right, But your first event you drew three thousand people. I don't see where that people are getting that there's oh, everybody's voting for Kamala now because Joe I don't see that. There's the news and his reality reality is cut to. So now that the process is played out from the grassroots bottom up, we are here today to throw our support behind Vice President Kamala Harris, I'm clapping. You don't nobody clap as a laugh track. I mean, that is literally how bad it is. But they're gonna they're gonna tell you how great they're right behind her, and dude, it is so sad, Like I every time I see it, I'm just like, this is a lie. We're talking about this. You and I both know it's not gonna Kamala. I don't think so that. You're right. They're gonna push her out, just like they push Joe out because she's gonna have some mess up in some debate and they're gonna the media is gonna twist it because that's what they do, and they're gonna say, oh, Kamala needs to drop it, she can't handle it, she needs to drop out, and they're gonna push her and push her and push her until she does exactly what Joe did and jumps. I think the media, which I I don't know. I see the poles are already their dead heat or even some of them are saying she's a head already. Right, there's no way, there's no way, you know. I saw Megan Kelly, who guess former guests from the show. She had a poll out that said ages eighteen to thirty four. Donald Trump had a nineteen point lead on Kamala Harris eighteen to twenty four. Is that that's her? That's her? Yes, yes, that's your group. You cannot vote if you're not eighteen years old. Oh. I wish you could find the clip of her in that stupid actress which she was talking about. I'm out here in the street. Oh yeah, I'm just like, are you serious? You said that that was a cut a couple of weeks ago? Oh yeah, that's right, all right, last week something like that. Oh my god. It's awful, man. They're just they're despicable people. Anyway. The dims are so sad. This was AOC on Friday literally saying before Joe Biden dropped out, this is what she had to say. Cut three and I'm gonna say what a lot of these Pope folks aren't saying. I'm just gonna say it. If you think that there is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave that Kamala that they will support Kamala vice President Harris, you would be mistaken. And I'm gonna say that because if they're gonna come out and say all their little things on background, off, off the record, but they're not gonna be fully honest, I'm gonna be honest for them. I'm in these rooms. I see what they say in conversations. A lot of them are not just interested in removing the president. They are interested in removing the whole ticket. M But today she loves her. Yeah, there she goes, Yeah, she goes again. AOC AOC No. I mean, so where is a reporter asking her? What changed? Hey, how come Friday? This ain't Kamela? And then now it's so I found that the one that got me was Barack Obama. He has yet to endorse her, and he says he's going to do it at the convention, which is the proper way to do it, according to him. But I'm like you, there's something like I I honestly think that the only reason that Joe Is was in this was because of how awful she was from the beginning, Like they knew, dang, we can't let her run because I mean, she'll lose easily. Like you said, her approval ratings are horrible. Yes, there, I thought I saw at one point in time it was like thirty percent or twenty percent at all time low. So they do their own polling. They know what's the real deal is, and I think, beat down inside, they know, but I at this point, I think Joe is so bad off that they didn't have an option, so they had to kind of throw her in. The debate showed everybody and maybe not just debate, but who who interviewed him, like the day, a day or two after the debate or the weekend, Yeah, someone someone. It was like he did three or four and all of them were horrible. I mean they're all horrible. And that Lester Hole, I think it's probably the one you were talking about, and he was bad. He was just real bad incoherence. Yeah, And I like how they're spinning now like it's okay for him to be in office. They well, they say, oh well, I don't think he's fit to run for four more years. If he's not fit to run for four more years, he's not fit to run now. Of course he wasn't fit to run in twenty twenty. Yeah when we when supposedly we elected him supposedly, and so eighty million as that's coming up. But I actually, I mean this may end up helping Republicans. I think so, because if you're so far ahead, you don't want people to lose the enthusiasm. And because listen, I think Rush Limbaugh has always been right and I think he will always be right. The United States is built basically off of Republicans and Democrats. These people that they call independence, that pundits get millions of dollars for to go out and find. He's always said, that's the biggest lie in politics. Politics is simple. If you can get your base to vote, you'll win. It's that simple. These independent voters, they claim they all go after that makes the difference in the election is a bunch of bull crap. It's a lot of money being paid to people to get those voters, when if you just went out and got yours, you would win. It's that simple. It's how Glenn Younkin won he went to Southwest Virginia and got people to vote who hadn't voted in decades. All of a sudden, he wins. And so I just think we spend a lot of time trying to find this independent voter. I mean, who has it if you're walking around going I'm just not sure. Yeah, I mean seriously, that probably speaks a lot about you, right, something like when I lost to Bruce Hardwick, which I don't think if you know, if you don't know who he is, it's pretty sad. Okay, I'll be the first one to admit, Emma, do you know who that is? Okay? I don't, all right, he is. He was part of the Republican Party here in Bedford, and he went to all the meetings and stuff. But when you run for counsel in Bedford, you're not party affiliated. But not Bruceie. Bruce put on everything he had that he was a Republican, and around here you win elections fairly easily. So I knew it was going to be tough. I had beaten him once, but I knew it was going to be tough the second time around, because he started getting endorsements from the Republicans and it's like, this is so sad. But he wanted to be on council so much, and I had gotten to the point where I was ready to get off because I couldn't get anything accomplished. It's just it's a lot of time for people who just want to basically slow down everything. And I don't care what it is. It's just stuff that's easy. They would just squash it, pump the brakes. No development, oh god, you just keep yeah, just to look at with some townhouses on it. Yeah, and it I have found out if you go to cities and there's people who listen to this show that I'm probably gonna make mad now, but I will be. If it's not the private sector, it's not going to happen. Like my dream of Bedford is if for it to be a very wealthy place and that you have Lynchburg and Roanoke and people should come to Bedford for an area thing look for the middle ground that want to live closer to Liberty the college scene because maybe their kid goes to Liberty right and they want to also have their job in Roanoke, and they look for that middle ground. Bedford is that middle ground. It can be and I like Old Town Alexandria is where we stayed this weekend. It's obviously it's a small town that is wealth right, It's where wealthy people go because it's low crime, it's outside of the city, and it's you know, it has you know, expensive things, and it's it's a more upper class. And I'm not saying I want to change that here. I'm just saying, if you can bring in a upper class of stuff, you're going to attract upper class people. Right, I got hit upside the head of anything. I mean, it doesn't matter like what it is like. I'll give you a quick example. We did a coffee shop here on the end Bridge Street Cafe. The gentleman who bought it was from Philadelphia, and he walked into my office and he said, demo it make it look like that drawing. I did a drawing of what it could look like, and I like, I sketched these things out myself and put them on windows. If this is what this building could look like. Because they've been sitting up there empty for years. This guy's traveling comes across it and says, hey, can you do that? Well, yeah, I can do that, And I would have people come down to my office and say, it's terrible what you're doing to that man. What do you mean you're spending his money that building you know doesn't belong here. I mean, yeah, you're making rents go up and stuff like that. That man finished that building and he puts some money in it, but he sold it for five hundred and some thousand dollars. Was it already there? Yeah, sixty grand is what he paid for it originally peanuts in that game, right, And he's from Philadelphia, so it was easy for him. He's in Florida now. He enjoyed his profit, and I bet he did. But I mean it can be like that everywhere, but these people here don't want that. It's you know, it was you meet that wall and so it wasn't worth me my time. But old Brucey he ran his little ads and he got beat recently. But yeah, I lost to it. It was horrible. But somebody said something to me about that, and they're like, I can't believe that guy. I'm like, how's he any different than Fetterman and AOC and stuff. I mean, these people were in Congress and senators. It's no different. He's town council, right, not anymore. He lost but he's homeless and I'm not I mean, he's a homeless kid that lives in his car and he doesn't have it all upstairs. Just I'm not telling anything. It's not a secret he's I mean, but he had, you know, he convinced people that he was a Republican and that he was going to change, and a lot of people didn't know there did he run as a Republican? But like a rhino, No, he didn't know how to do it. I mean, he would. You would have to tell him that. And that's that's the other thing I found on counsel. I mean, you get a group of people at the end of the day, you gotta have four votes because the seven people up there, right, yeah, you just find four people to agree with you. And I couldn't. I mean I tried, man, I tried so hard. And that's when I realized this isn't the way to do it. The way to do it is on the private side. You just do it and fix it yourself. And so I did. I mean, I went to work. I tried to convince Scott Elliott. Scott came, bought the bank, renovated it, moved to Bedford, and I'm just trying to get more, more and more developers here to do this type of stuff. You can't fix it from the inside out. It has to be fixed from developers. That's the only way. Well, I mean, they got how many companies in Winhurst with the summit they're doing those patio homes out there. I mean there's like four or five companies in there. Yeah. What Jamerson Lewis is one of them right here, Jameson Lewis, Matthews Development, a couple of them. I had never heard. But they're coming in from out of town developing that little area, making it bigger. Yes, I mean you when I was in d C. I was. I used to work in DC years and years and years ago. As a matter of fact, I was talking to the architect this morning about it. I used to go with him when when I was younger working for a firm, and there was a place in Maryland across the river. It was called Oxen Hill. And when I say bad, it was a neighborhood you did not spend five minutes in without being scared for your life. White White Rock Hill It's worse than that, I mean, is bad bad? Oxen Hill was a horrible neighborhood. It was the slums of Maryland. I mean, really bad projects everywhere as far as you could see. I go across the river this weekend and I don't even recognize the place. It came in and built it up. Oh it's gorgeous, that's awesome. It's called the National Arbor and they built on the river. They put this massive MGM casino. Oh, the National Arbor, Yeah right there, Yes, that was that was what you're talking about. Yes, you would got what the Gaylord is right there? Yes, yeah, I went there not too long a few years back for Redskins game. I'm sorry, Commanders and me and my dad we hung out out there. Zero chance you'd have done that twenty five years ago. Yeah, that's insane because I've seen it now and what baring. Yeah, I mean it's awesome, Yes, And that's what I'm saying. That's outside investors make that happen, not the government. And that's when I realized on council, I can't fix this. I can only I can do it outside. So I just I try to buy buildings like this and just one at a time. That's all you can do. I like that but you know, so if you're listening, come to veteran and invest. But some of the people in council would say, I just want to keep it a small town. And I keep telling them that's fine, I want to keep it a small town. Here's the difference. You're not going to stop development, but you can decide what it looks like. So if you keep kicking developers out that are good developers, you're gonna get the crappy ones coming in and you're fast, yeah, and lower income, and you're going to end up with not so good city. You think Jerry Fallwell thought about that. All I had was mountains and hills and now he's got I don't know how much that university makes for a year, how much it's worth. Its endowment was close, its endowment was over a billion. Oh yeah, that's a lot of money. There's a lot of people out there, and it's drawing this extra crowd that that development is needed. Yeah. And I can remember a time, because I was at that company, Wiley and Wilson, when you didn't want to work with Liberty because they couldn't pay, and that was just legitimate. They couldn't They were looking for donations of because they were just scraping by. But Jerry always knew, Jerry Senior always knew, if I could ever get to an alumni is when we'll start to make money. And that is what happened about the nineties mid nineties, is when they started getting people who had gone there in the seventies, their kids are now going. And then it just after he died exploded. It exploded when they decided to uh to go online. Yeah online, the money just some dress code stuff made a little bit more relaxed. Yeah, it was you right, Yeah, what do you think about? Um, I go there and then I leave too many people. I hear a lot of stuff like it's just too many people out there. It's too Yeah, it's it's an interesting crowd is gorgeous. Not the building I'm in. Building I'm in where the the gym is at, all the classes in there are. I think it's like one of the oldest buildings on care where the old where the old Vine Center was. Is that where you're where the gym's at auxiliary gym's old? Because I'm a sports journalism major, it's all the way it's called green Hall, Green Hall. Yeah, okay, gotcha. Since I'm a journalism major. How's that working out for you? Okay? I have like a year left, so we have time push through. Yeah, who knows. By the time you graduate, this place is already growing. What he was asking me the same questions. You'll be you'll be able to use a media pass. They'll give you one. You start where you're at right now, sooner or later, well you'll get a media passed. All right, on to eighty million, life, liberty, happiness, eighty million. Come on, Brian fly we truth, truth over facts. All right. This is your new supposed Democrat candidate for president. This is her talking uh again to a media, mainstream media. So you know they're soft questions. But this was when she was first put in charge of the border. Cut four. Oh, we are going to the border. We've been to the border. So this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border. We've been to the border. We've been to the border. You haven't been to the border, and I haven't been to Europe. What's going on there? That's what I'm saying. They just got to get it in Apeak. Just yes, get her to talk. She'll hang herself. Yeah, she's got to do an interview sooner or later. I think I don't know how long they can keep her hidden, but you can throw her out to do speech. Ana is read, although she'll screw that up, but she likes to put her own twist on everything, so like we're twisted stupid. Will they not do another debate since Biden dropped out? She's supposed well, I mean, I don't know, we'll see. I thought they said something about well, no that was vance because they said they wouldn't. Obviously, Kamala is not gonna debate dvance now, just because there's she's not the vice president or not going to be so. As a female, yes, when you look at and hear Kamela, is that something you aspire to be? She is inspiring if I'm being honest. Don't really hear about her, but not really because I don't agree with a lot of the things that they stand for. But there's a lot of girls on TikTok that do support her because they say, you know, Trump's a fellon. Trump did this, an abuser blah blah blah. And they're like, oh, well she was attorney general, she did this, she did that. They're like, I'm not voting because she's a woman. I'm voting because I'm a woman. That's what people are saying. Wrong, powerful woman. Yeah, but like what they try to say. Yeah, but I don't agree with a lot of the stuff that she does. I just wonder if these same people understand how she got to where she is, which is, here's the thing that's scary about her that I think people should understand. She's she literally didn't show up today as Benjamin that and Yahoo was speaking on Israel in Congress today at her sorority. She was at her sorority. Deal. Okay, here's the scary part. She supports the terror not terrorists, but well depends on she supports the protest a mos protest in Palestine. Okay, her husband is freaking wish. How stupid do you have to be? How do you come at home? And how weak is he? Yes? Are we sure they're still married? They are. You've seen a picture of her stepdaughter. It's not flattering, but it's sad. Like I don't listen. I had a gentleman quickly, I will tell you came see me today and he's a I would say he's a conservative, but probably a little bit on the center side. Not definitely, not on the right. But he you know, he was saying today, He's like, listen, I'm all about supporting Ukraine, but I don't understand the whole Israel thing. And I'm like, I'm lost at why people would not support Israel. Like I'm I'm just totally lost. If no one messed with Israel, Israel would not mess with anybody else. Correct, there would be no conflict, no conflict. Well, you can't go killing people. And I said, so, let me get this straight. You can attack the World Trade Center and we can go to war with Afghanistan and Iraq and we could kill people, but Israel gets attacked where thousands get killed and they're not allowed. Now are they making any money off of Israel? Like in that that war? Are they making any money? Is the US of A making any money? Probably not. Well, they were making a lot of money with the war in Iraq and again exactly, but they were killing people. Yeah, I mean, Israel's literally just trying to eradicate a terrorist group, which weren't we trying to eradicate Al Qaede? Yes, So what's the difference. There's not a difference. I don't see. But I don't understand, like it's calculated, like I don't, I don't nand we need to move on anyway. The first hour is sponsored by Stay. Hey, we're getting overtime for this, right, and now your top ten for the week. She's more like a five. Oh, this is gonna be so much fun, all right. So this is top ten of little things that pissed me off. And when I say little things, it doesn't have to be like an argument or so they's just things man that I'm just sitting there and I'm like, ah, all right, so my number ten, and we'll go through the list and talk about it, and then we'll go through your list about that. That sounds good to me, and Trent might have to get pushed back a little bit. We don't care about it. Oh, we don't care. Okay. So when politicians say that they are transparent, immediately when I hear that, I think this is the worst I used to hear it when I was on counsel and I hated it. First of all, not everything needs to be transparent. There are some things that need to be shut up, don't talk about, okay, But when you say you're being transparent, that immediately makes me think you're hiding something. Yes, I would have to agree, because I just we're more transparent today than we've ever been. No, you're not. What do you hide? And that stupid Jean whatever her name, Pierre, the Press secretary, Yeah, she's the worst at it. She constantly says this president is historically transparent. No, no, you're not. So that's when I hear it, I go anger immediately. So, uh oh god. Automated phone system are you talking about if somebody calls you, or you call them if I call them, Because now you need something and you want to get something done and you're talking to a robot. AEP is the worst. Yes. The press one, press two, press five just gets on my nerves. Can't ever get you can't even on those can't get to a person because you press the wrong number. Yeah, and I hate it because it used to be you had a receptionist and that was so nice because that person hello, yeah, and then right, wherever you want to go now and then, and don't get me started on once you If you do get past all of the buttons, you're gonna get somebody's voice back. Nobody's answering the phone ever, or you get someone who's Indian. It's hard to understand. That's coming up in my list. Foreign definitely coming up in my list, all right. Number eighth of Oh when you're packaging, Like, when something is packaged a certain way, I'll buy it, right, You buy stuff off the packaging. Yeah, if it's got nice packaging. Are you judging a book by its cover? Yes? And then I open it and I'm like, well, this is crap, dude. I'm I get so mad at myself because packaging sells me it can they got him? You put it in a nice package. It's like your logo. It's a nice package. Yeah, you know, but you you could build crap like you don't. But I'm just saying the packaging is what gets me. And I hate it, man, because it if it looks elegant like it's yeah, and it looks like it deserves that high price, oh, I'll buy it. And then I get it and I'm like, this is they say we got another one boys. Yes, my grandmother this is so funny. I never We'll forget. She said she bought a piano, and I'm like, well, how would she get it in her house? And then I get over there and putting it together. No, it was like this big. I thought it out of a magazine because back in the day you didn't have internet. And she's like, I don't understand. Why why is it this? I was a good deal and I'm like, are you serious, it's nineteen ninety nine, But yes, I am one of those packaging fools man uh number seven, when you order something on a menu and something different comes out, like when you good. Example is when we were at a ri German restaurant. We were so excited, We're gonna try German food for the first time in Germany or in America. Now it's in America, but it's a German restaurant. All they have is German food. And we walk in this place and the only thing I recognized on the menu was beef strogging off and I'm like, all right, that can't be that bad. Totally different than what I thought. That'll fool me, that'll make me think, well, maybe that's how they make it in Germany. Oh, I'm sure it is, but it wasn't good. That'll fool me in the mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes cold, that's the way they eat their mashed potatoes. Someone does cold soup? Who does that? Is that Germany too? Probably? But anyway it's and it's other times I've ordered something thinking oh that that's good and it comes out and it's like, oh no, that's not what I want. Oh, but at that time you can't change it. Anyway. That's probably a moral meat than it is then. Uh number six. We talked about this before we came on air. Work related excuses. Just show up to work. It's all I want you to do. Paying you to do something, paying you to do something. People used to get so mad at me because I was un what's the word. I don't know how to describe it. But like I would go to a job site and you know, a roofer or somebody would say, yay, yeah, I got all finished today, and I'd go okay, and it's like they want a pat on the back. Yeah, And I would be like, hey, you're getting paid, like you're doing what we're asking you to do. The worst is when somebody's doing what you pay them to do and they expect more money because they did it exactly how you expected them to do it. Yes, and no, you did what I told you to do. Congratulations, here's your paycheck. That's it, you're getting paid this. This is as good as it gets. Yeah, but I've heard so many excuses. It's it's the worst how And I'm not bragging on us, but that was what I said when I became a sub. We're gonna show up and work. We're never gonna not show up. And we've done it for fifteen years and knock on will we have never not missed a date. And mine's hard. Yeah, because I do commercial and there's it's easy for one of my commercial general contractors to say, we're not ready. We can't see you till next week, right, So now I got to scramble and make all that stuff forork and yet we do it and I have a whopping two employees. I'm fine with somebody who can't show up on the day that we planned on, but please please communicate, communicate, communicate. I'm fine, I'm good, but just tell me when you're coming because I can then schedule off of that. Yes, exactly, No, that's a thousand percent right. But I can't stand the excuses. The excuses are what gets too far or somebody that will sends you for a text in a row of why yeah they couldn't. I like just tell me, hey, man, can't come. Something came up. I don't care what you're doing. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I had a concrete sub or. I think he was concrete. He's pretty much probably had about thirty ants pass away. I got a friend that's got a nephew's birthday every other week when we asked him to hang out, so like I recently, I had one that said he had to take his wife to the doctor. And first of all, why are you telling me that? I didn't ask you to be there at a certain time. I just said can you be there? And you say yeah, but I have to take my wife to the doctor. Knowing that when I say can you come at two, that he's going to use the wife's doctor's a woman as an excuse. That's We've done this long enough. That's what happens. It's the excuses. It's awful. It's a terrible, terrible thing. Number five, when they ask you to pull forward at a drive through. It's one of Trent's worse He hates it. My dad said something when I was talking with him. I was on the phone with him when we were doing this, and I mean he rambled on for about ten minutes on so I know there's a bunch of little things that get everybody. But he said, he was like, that gets me too. I'm like, well, it doesn't bother me too much. It drives me crazy because I get it if you're asking me to pull forward because you want to get to other people and my food's not ready. I get it. It's a drive suit, but that's not why you're asking me when there's nobody behind me and there's nobody waiting. Why are you asking me to pull forward? I don't know. And we well, we know why because they are timed. Oh okay, and if they don't get you out of the line, they get hit from corporate. He said, was why was Brianch lying the line for a minute forty five seconds? Exactly? That is what happens. And so instead of having to deal with that, which is your job, you just push people out and it's sad. Don't stop gaming the system to fix your problem number four? Right, Yeah, we're at number four asking a question to someone who can't speak English. And that may sound horrible, but when they're in customer service, why why are they in customer service? I don't know. At least with AP you get someone who speaks very good English. We were staying at Hilton. Oh, good luck, Hotel, good luck. We were at the Hilton in Old Town and literally one of the things that they list as their what's the amenities is a concierge service. So we were trying to book a cruise on the Potomac and all the ones we called were booked, and so I'm like, well, they have a concierge service. Let's use that. Now. Have you ever used one, Emma, have you ever used one? Well, in New York, I've used a concierge service and they're phenomenal, a real one. Like they have connections and they can get you whatever you need. So this is like the front desk, or maybe not the front desk, but the back office. It's a person in New York. At least yes they will, they will. I needed tickets to Broadway, but it's known that you're giving them some money, right, A tip like a caddy, yes, and if they're really Like I had to get tickets to Broadway play and they were sold out, and so I said, man, my mom, you know, and he's like, well, I'll see what I can do. And so my mom is sitting there and I slide one hundred bucks over there, and he's like, look at here, three tickets. And that's when I realized, holy crap, this is how this works. So I go down there and I asked. I was like, hey, do you have a concierge and she said no. I'm like, well it says you do well occasionally, but not not this weekend. And I was like, okay, can you tell me a good water like we want to do a cruise And she says yeah, and she pulls out a brochure and she hands it to me. Now, I just told her we wanted to do a cruise on the water. The brochure was a bus tour. Let it up, let's go. Now I'm telling you this, but she was telling me this and not English. Wow, no clue, broken English, or just no none whatsoever. And that's the person who is working at the front desk of this hotel checking people in no English. Yeah, that's why it's on my list number three. How close different agree? I can agree these shirts that I have on, I typically wear an extra large. I have to wear this in a large because the extra large is a dress. Yes, dude, it's got to be horrible for women. Oh, it's so much worse, so much worse because you go to one place in your size jeans are like a five, but then they're like a triple zero somewhere else, but that the same size. Actually, yes, listen, you're preaching to the choir. I wanted a real men's store once and I was looking for a sports code. And the guy who's helping me, right, he's trying on different and I'm trying the same size jacket and it won't fit, and so he gets a bigger one and gives it to me, and that one fits, but I don't like it, right, And so the owner comes over. It's real men's store, and he comes over and he starts laughing. And it was a young guy helping me, and he goes, dude, you can get the same size that you just tried on. You like that coat, right? I was like, yeah, it's like different manufacturers, different sizes and I'm like, huh, seems fitted perfect. He knew exactly what was going on and knew how to do it. I just don't understand how could be that different ordering clothes online. Every once in a while, I order a nice shirt online. Good luck. You better pray because you're always ordering that lake. It's gonna get there the day before the event that you need to ye, yes, I had. I'm having trouble now with this cast, and I'm in a wedding in two weeks. Luckily the suit that we rented suits. Luckily I can squeeze this through. But I get a new cast three days before the wedding. Wow. So I don't know what they're gonna do, if they're gonna give me a hard cast, or what to do with that. So I'm a little nervous right now. I'm shaking good luck with that. My phone's blown up. Sits Trent, he can wait. Number two. Going to an event and there's either loud kid or just inappropriate people screaming like I can't take it, man, I just want to I've paid this much money. Why do I have to hear your kids screaming? So you're not talking about church, You're talking about Oh that's too that you could put that right in the middle. TRBC has the cry room. They go back in the back corner. They got two of them. I think they've got that. But dude, I just I can't. Like, I've been to sporting events and I'm gonna have the obnoxious idiot yelling at a baseball right behind you. Well, that was you back in the day. Know you weren't too bad, and you weren't too bad that team. We luckily we had great parents. We did have great parents. We had a great experience. Like I think about that all the time, and I think there's miserable people out here on these other sides. You got to thank you. And Trent experienced my first home run ever. Yeah, and my parents weren't there, so you guys, And Ashley was videoing, ask her if you remember put the chills on it. I know it's like yours and Trent went and got the ball. Yeah, it's it was so much fun. I missed those days. Number one. It's my number one of all time and it always will be. I can't stand when somebody's late for a meeting. I can piggyback off that. I'll wait though it is my number one. I hate it, I understand, so respectful, so disrespectful. Not even just a meeting anywhere, anywhere, anywhere. Try to be five minutes early because if something happens, I'll try to be ten minutes early, because if there's fifteen fifteen ten. I always had a superintendent, John Patterson. He was if you weren't ten minutes early, you're not on time. Yeah, that's the way it used to be. I mean, it's just it's a it's a respect thing for me. All right, let's get to yours. Let's do it. So slowing the fast lane. Can't stand it and you look over and they're texting and driving, yes, or a bike or a bike that's kind of my driving. Or a bike in the road. Yeah, I'm with you on that. On a road, I do it, but I don't I get on down the road if I noticed that somebody's coming up behind me. Yeah. Loud talkers, loud talkers, I cannot stand. I do not care about your conversation. What's going on. I don't care, yep. Uh. Number eight is liberals that that that can be. I mean, that's a good one. There's people that shut their mouth and don't talk, and that's fine. I'm good with that. But if you're gonna keep pushing it on me, I'm done with you. Uh. Someone who like just totally I know this is more of a terminology for me and Emma's age, but ghosts. Someone who ghosts you, like a client who you've gone to their house. Yeah, done this stuff. Yeh. Spent your time to work up this estimate for him, and you send it to them and you don't hear a word back from them, not even like a you know what, this is a little more expensive than I wanted to spend. Sorry, awful, It's awful. It's horrible because I've spent my time there. Yeah and yeah, no, they don't care. So stay with me on this one. When you're on the phone with somebody and it starts breaking up a little bit, figuring out who's whose sell service is bad, that is the worst. Ye oh, my gosh, I can't. And that's five on my LI six on my left. You dropped the call. No I didn't, I know, I did not, It was you. I got four bars, Well I got four bars. Yeah, and then you realize, oh, you're too close to Wi Fi. So it's trying to pick up the WiFi and you were in the wrong. Yeah, that one, that one marks me. Spam calls. When your number is on the internet, on a website, you get spam calls. If they call you and let it go all the way through, they'll leave you a fifty one second voice mountain and that's how you know it's a spam call and it's a random number, or they'll just you'll be doing something on the computer and I do all Mac stuff, so everything is tied to everything, laptop, computer, iPad. I'll be working on something, a spam call come through and then they'll hang up immediately, and then my screen goes away. Wow, I know, and then I gotta go pull up the screen. I know it's a first world problem. It's a first world prom but I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah, man, it gets gets me. This more of a job site thing. But throwing trash on the ground, I've got a Yes, I've got a fourteen by seven dump trailer that is got two sideboards that go up to forty eight inches. You've you've got all that all that volume to throw that can away. I walked. I picked up three cans and bottles today yeah, nobody was there. Yeah, nobody was working today. And I picked up three cans of bottles, Like, where do these even come from? And there's a dumpster right there, Yeah, right there. I picked one up that was right next to the dumpster. Yeah, like either you tried to. I appreciate the effort, but go pick it up. Yeah, wait till you start if you haven't already. It's the spit bottles. The spit bottles. I don't have too much of a problem with. I think dip is going out of style. I think dip is going out of style. But three people who run their gas down to fume and they roll into the gas on f can't Dand that is that you Emma. I'm better about it now because I have a new car. But it's women. I'm telling you my wife all the time. Really, I got it from my father. Oh well, if it's at a quarter tank, fill it up. Wha too far? I agree. I usually don't get past a quarter of a tank, although it sometimes I didn't. Like yesterday day before you come back from Danville and my gas like being and I was like, what the hell is that? I know, that's exactly what I'm like, man, I just gaslight. I forgot. I never let that thing get below man that I can't stand people who do that. That's what. That's a person thing. That's a personal thing. That's let's see Number two. Live music. I cannot stand live music. I like a concert, that's fun, it's a big area. But if I'm screaming to the person that's right across the table from me, yeah, I'm having a bad day. Yeah, because we went to I think it was Hill City Pub one time and they had that joker cranked up and we were sitting there trying to have a beer, have a conversation. And I might have gone with my dad one time and I had to scream across the room at him. He was three feet away, across the table. I cannot stand live I'll walk out. I will blame you. Number one is piggybacking off of yours. The late stuff when someone's late with no communication. Oh yeah, I can't. If you're gonna be five ten minutes late, twenty thirty minutes late. I can get past that because I can figure something out. I can come late, you know, but please just tell me, Yeah, just please just tell me, because he yeah, I was going to a meeting the other day, and I would run a little bit late because I know people run late. Sometimes you just get caught up. I texted him, I said, I'm gonna be about ten minutes late. Ended up being five minutes late. I don't like when people say I'm gonna be ten minutes late and they're twenty minutes late. Yes, always, always all piggybacks on each other. Man. That's the biggest irk. Yeah, for me, it takes me to a level my gosh. Now I'll get over it. But I'm just like, man, this this stuff just bothers me. The worst is when you actually need that person. Yeah, if you don't need them, you say, all right, whatever, that's right. If you need him, you need it. Yet, I wonder what he's wonder if he's drinking. Oh no, he said, I saw his Facebook. He read a book this week. Well, I can't wait to figure talk about that last time. I wonder why he hasn't called doctor try to call the uh the line. No, I've been sitting here watching he tried to call my cell phone. That's why I can't figure what he gave him the number in the If you've forgot to use the pass code. Do you know what the password is? Don't ask the leader for the password. It's like to what to say when you call podcast calling, That's all you have to say. Well, he's gonna get bumped because Carolina Kevin, Carolina Kevin. God, what do you think about that dude? That dude's crazy. He's uh, he's one of a kind for sure. He came to see us at the beach for one day. Why why doesn't he come in person for a packet? I don't know. That would be once a year if I'm lucky. It's a working man. I've tried over and over, is what he said. I get. Are we sure he's doing that right? Brian put a blocker on it, So that's what it is. I'll call him. He won't be able to hear Travis, though. I don't know why he's gonna yell at me. I already know this, dude. What do you not know how to use technology? Apparently not. I did what the person told me to do. I got through and I said podcast as I was instructed, you gotta say something else with you gotta say something call in. You gotta say podcast calling in? Should I was given that is what the instructions you were given. I might be wrong. No, it literally says podcast. Maybe maybe we need to know where to put quotes around something. Oh my god, it's always podcast. Oh my god. Okay, that's the first line. So it's going great. Carolina Kevin's coming up. We've been waiting for ten minutes for you. Yeah, we've just been rambling on for twenty three minutes. Good God, Well, I'm glad it didn't work. What you just texted me and said is the board connected to the phone? I think Trent is calling Ken but can't get through. God. So what we are curious before we get off here, because Carolina Kevin's coming up, We are curious what book? Did you read? A box? It was so good that you can't remember the title. It's so good. Well, that's true. I probably shouldn't know the title. It's called what's it about? A game? Ward and endangered species? Did it all? Did it rhyme with each You might be confused? Doctor says, did it all? Ryme? How many pages? Like it? Was it color? It was a colorful nice pictures. Are you having a good time at the beach? Fantastic? Yeah? I saw your family. That's awesome. I love I love the beach and trips with family. Glad you're getting to do it. You just went on the beach and like Friday, you said you were coming back from the beach and you didn't even tell me you were at the beach. Who does that to their friends? The word there would be friends? All right, Carolina, Kevin's calling in, So you're getting bumped back around like a loose cues. Why are like dentures and the ice train? Carolina can look at there somebody who knows how to call? Did you miss that, Kevin? I don't miss anything. My friend Trent was supposed to call in but didn't know how to use the password. We Trent would trip over a cordless stone. Oh how's the uh? How's the weather there in South Carolina? We've been getting bombarded with rain, which has been good. Not so much of your so y'all getting a lot of rain too, Yes, sir, Now Trent isn't in the studio with us this week. We have Travis. Do you uh? You say how to Travis? Kevin? Let me say first hot to the long black train. We did have a drink. Brad's come by twice. I think he's jealous. What's up, Tras? What up Kevin? Oh jeez? Oh, so I will let the listeners know. Kevin texted me Friday and told me to pick Kyle Larson and to win the NASCAR race. And he said, give the money to my daughter because it was her birthday. And what do you got? People calling it? It's Trent? Can you do I don't know how to do that. We'll just try it. Just push button. I'm gonna answer. Oh, I think we hung up on Oh no, Carolina's on hold. Merge, merge, merge. Hit the merge button. It's thinking, it's thinking, all right, okay, you hear us? Who's there? Hey? Hey, hey, we got Trent and Kevin. Oh my gosh, technology trouble hanging around like a loose to god. Kevin, did you know my word? My word today is shipping? Now you shoupt? The called in answered, jeez, Hey Kevin? Did you did you? Geez? Did he did? He jump off? He's gone, okay, good? Where's Kevin? I think you just want to see if it worked? Oh okay, is Kevin stilling? Yeah? He said, I've been here, trick in your back pocket. Trent's left already which is a good thing, probably, But Kevin did pick Kyle Larson, and I did win money off of that, so I do appreciate that. Of course, I told him he picks Kyle Larson every week, and he got extremely mad at me. No, I think you're extremely mad because I only picked Kyle Larson to win three races this year, and let me guess he's won all three. When you asked me to pick something would have happened with the track record I have with college football when it first started, I was nine and one. Oh god, college football. Pick him. That's a new segment coming up this fall. Oh yeah, Carolina, Kevin, pick him. Uh, when you move to the beach, even though you'll be North Carolina, we can still refer to you as Carolina. Kevin, Right, Carolina stretch from Danville all the way down to Georgia. My friend, you got North Carolina and South Carolina. So man geography. He knows it all. So Diggy Grave too. Oh, he's good at that. I don't. I don't want to ever meet you at work, Kevin. That's a negative, not gonna happen. Hey, when you when you're negotiating for this job that you're looking at maybe taking in at the outer banks. Can you ensure that on Wednesdays at six point thirty year off? Oh, dude, and it will bring it up to the next level, because I'm gonna be having people on Carolina Kevin Night on Wednesdays. Well, God live audience of tourists visiting, so I'll well, jeez, make sure that we got some people coming on board. And it ain't just gonna beat Carolina Kevin. Well, just make sure it's not live music playing in the background. That's gonna get me. It's gonna get me going Carolina Kevin and co. No, we won't have nothing distortion or anything. So I did when I got home, I did notice I had two tomatoes turning, so but the rest of them are still just as green. So hopefully they'll Oh Lord what, No, No, you need to go ahead and throw them away? Now? Why just pick them and throw them away? If you eat tomatoes right now and here it is almost the first of August. If you eat those tomatoes, you're gonna have heartburning, indigestion and upset stomach. Arehea throw them away? Why? Because if they ain't turn now, dude, you might as well ditch them Kevin. Nobody has. I mean, I swear to you, Mom, I did. I'm not even sure Moms has turned yet. Dustin Scott klinger Field has done harvested four bushels of tomatoes off of his raised garden. Tomatoes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Mine are healthy. I mean they are nice looking. I've got big as a fist, and yet they're just as green as they can get. I've eaten a fried green and a burger. It was good. Now like a well, you know where Dustin lives now, Don Jones? What is it? Water Lick Road down? Yeah, so he was able to, you know, take a little bit of information from me. All one five hundred girls. Garden center if it's garden center, I swear, I mean he's done learned. I mean, dude, Dustin's got him some tomato plants and in this raised garden. He's got a stan that blows on them all day. Good Lord, he's got straw. He's put all this stuff down. These tomatoes are like the size of grapefruits, and they're beautiful tomatoes. He's in cann uh. He's canned salsa on the saltuden Uh. He's ben texted Mama about tomato juice. So he's getting everything canned on up. He's doing pretty good. That's pretty good. So what do you think of our new Democrat front runner for the Democrat Party hopeful, Willy Brown. I don't even I doubt it's even gonna make it through the Democratic She's got to have delegates, enough of them, and and and there's other people that are Number one, you can't transfer campaign money to another person, like they're going through that now. But you know, Donald Trump is speaking in ten minutes and he's, yeah, how come you didn't go in Charlotte. It's just it's too much going on up there in Charlotte. Do you think do you think the assassination attempt is enough to keep people from going to his rallies? To lessen it a little bit? Not in Grand Rapids. My sister at that one, Oh wow, she's a news reporter, went to that hold on. Let me respond to that. Okay, there's currently six thousand people that cannot fit in the center where the hornets used to play. That seats ten thousand people. There's still six thousand people outside that can't get in. It's been there since yesterday. Good lord, wow. So three thousand. Those a lot of people. That's what we're saying. I'm saying is is that you remember seeing in when they had two guys standing in a ditch with water in there, and they were acting like the wind was blowing and they were getting flooded out, and there was two guys walking in shorts, yes, behind them. That's the same thing that Democrats do. They stage all that stuff for people to watch on TV and go, oh my gosh, it's all these people that Terence's come. You know, look at the people that showed up. They don't really get into They stage all that stuff, and then people are sitting at home watching it on TV, going oh my goodness. By seeing in look how much rain they had. These guys are standing in a damn ditch. I did find it ironic. The same people that claim that Trump exaggerates his crowds. After the assassination attempt, they were like, they weren't expecting that many people to show up. It was too many people there, And I'm like, really so, but I agree with you. I think his momentum is still there, and that's great that he's going to Charlotte. I love that he's going to places that most Republicans never went. Charlot's a good place to start. Big city is Well, I'm telling you that the local news that I've been watching an hour prior to getting on the podcast, every single channel, they're sitting outside the Spectrum Center and there are six thousand people that cannot even get into side Excell Center. Yet they're gonna send a memo out today's stating the CIA doesn't want Trump holding an outdoor venue anymore because it's too risky. So you're gonna try to limit somebody heaven a rally because you can't you're incompetent of doing your job. So you're gonna try to set these earmarks and standards on something that's been going on for years. It's the Democrat way. So what are you gonna do When he shows up at NASCAR at Charlotte down here for the fall race and there's one hundred thousand people, you're gonna say, oh, you can't show up there now because that's technically a venue. There's over one hundred thousand people there and you can't visit that site because we can't give you the protection that you need. Well, first of all, if you know Donald Trump, he'll do whatever he wants to do. Like I couldn't believe that his first event after the shooting, he's calling somebody up on stage, so you know, the secret services, like Jesus, but you stop. He's a honey battery. Oh yeah, don't. They don't care bring them up. He's like I saw you, you were at that alley in Pennsylvania, called up here, and I'm like, oh my gosh. So yeah, they're not gonna stop him, Kevin. He's gonna do an outdoor event. Oh I know he is. But what I'm saying is is that why would you even go to that extent to try to even uh, just go through the motions of putting all this on him like you failed, but you're gonna try to sit here and turn it around. This is my thing. Listen, if you don't take anything from me that you've ever taken from me in our whole lives that we've been brothers, I want you to take this from me and you listen to me. On anyone that thinks they're a victim of a problem that they created, you better get away from far away, true, because these people out there that act like they're a victim of something that they actually created. That's what the Democratic Party is doing. No matter if you to go through government or personal life experiences. If you have a friend and they're always complaining, complaining about they're the victim of some problem that they created, don't be friends with them. Get the hell away from them, because I'm gonna tell you when when Olympus falls, they're carrying you with them. Yeah yeah, Now, Jesse Smilett lied about the whole thing, and yet somehow that dude becomes the victim after after they find out he lies. That's the problem that I always have is you're right about that. It's a sad state of affairs. Kevin sad state of affairs. Well, I talked to their sister earlier and I told tim in the same thing. But I also told her this, there's too many signs pointing in the wrong direction, which means if you have to grow store shopping, pick up the extra pund to rice, pick up the extra thing of beans, maybe extra thing of toil, of papers, or a case of water, because what is it going to hurt if it doesn't go south? But what's it going to help you if it does. I'm good luck finally out there I'm just telling you, like, there's a lot of us that grew up in rural areas that were taught by our mammal's and granny's and and die olls or whatever you want to call your grandparents, Like, they're the ones who who taught you. We didn't have no cell phones. We learned from them the basics of living on your own. So that's why I loved growing up in the era that I did and had the family that we did, Brian, because we were taught by them to survive. And when it does happen, you have the majority of their people right now to depend on door dash. They depend on delivery, like they don't know how to bull an egg. So when it hits the fans, they're gonna be coming for people to have stuff. Yeah, I agree. All right, Well, this show's not gonna last if you don't get off of it. So do you have a word of the day, Well, yeah, tissue tissue yep. For years I've been trying to mentor Brian because I'm older than him. He gets mad every time and ask why, and I said, Brian, I'm just trying to teach you. Jeez, Oh my gosh, holy cow, Emma, you learned how to merge calls today, stepping up in the world. Even the pro button pusher doesn't know how to do. If you listen to Carolina Kevin long enough, I'll teach you something. Oh yeah, you should listen. I wish you guys. It's fascinating to me. We go to these family events, which I am huge on it. My sister makes fun of me, but I just it's neat. You'll appreciate it twenty years from now, fifteen years from now when you have just the whole family, your sister, if she has kids, husband, whatever, you'll just appreciate it more, especially with your parents around. And so I don't know it's neat, but it's it just drives me nuts. We'll have a house with twelve people in it and it's until Kevin shows up. It's not a party. He's that guy. He is that guy guy, and you know he's not gonna show up. That's the part that drives me nuts, so that everybody's waiting for him all weekend. Yes, he is no show Jones. He is not gonna make it. And if he does make it, he's gonna be gone quicker than he came. I mean, that's just that's who he is. I can't stand at one place for he has he no skin. There is not like you don't have to worry about him being late because this is gonna be no meeting. I mean, he's not showing up. It's just it's not gonna happen. And it dries me nuts and my mom and my sister take his side every time. A golden child, he's Oh he's the middle child. So he didn't get into too much mischief. Oh he lived in mischief. He wrote the book. Oh it was Oh did I tell you I thought Kevin was your dad? Oh my, this was a while ago when I first started. Because I didn't know who he was. I don't give Kevin Nuts that much credit. What's funny is when people see him, they go, oh my god, there's no way. Y' all brothers, because my brother is tan. And when I say tan, I mean he's close to this. And we always say Mom slipped over to Mexico, because I mean he is tan tan, and uh, my sister and I are more pale. He is just brown brown, and uh, I mean most people just they're like, no way, but he was Me and my sister are similar in everything, and he's just he's a totally different animal. He's not different species. You wonder how we grew up in the same house. He always like we fought like brothers fight, but never never disrespectful, like you hated each other. It was never any of that that I know of. He may say different, but he got the green thumb, you got the green tomatoes. Yeah, that's for sure. Oh, he was definitely. He was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, all that stuff. I never did. I was, I don't know, picked it up later in life. Yeah, I love it now. I mean he could sit in the woods for hours and what for there's I got a couple buddies like that, Like they'll sit in the woods, yeah four hours. Yeah, just because I'll sit the vehicle and watch here all the way long. It's cold outside. You'll see me in a vehicle. Yeah. That's how Tripp and I got in trouble. But I will I will say this, Uh, one of the things that I've enjoyed lately. My wife and I will go get ice cream and sit in the Walmart parking lot. People watch to Bedford Walmart. Yes, man, you could go to the Bedford Walmart on a Friday night. Yes, and just people watch. Yes, they come out the woods for the Friday night. They come out of the woods, grab a red box, get to ice cream, get the groceries for the week, head back out that it's a movie out there. You can sit there and just like you said, ice cream, Carrie. Yes, like it's some of the stuff you see like that. That didn't just happen, Yes it did, Yes, it did. Some of the couples. It's like we'll play that game sometimes. Who settled? I don't know about that one. All right, Well you've got the male and the female. One of one of them is not who settled? Obviously everybody knows. In my relationship, I settled. We all can agree on that. But I mean we love to do that because you can look at it like there was one recently where I told my wife it was a guy and I was like, way too good looking for her. Why did he screw that up? And I mean because it's started as a one night stand. That's exactly what I always go to, Ah, he screwed up? That ain't good. Now there's some people, man, it's like you must not know right that you're attractive, or he's got a lot of money, or or she's got a lot of money. Yeah, yeah, I'm telling you. And there there's something Bedford Walmart that it's like, there's no way there. There was some popcorn on Friday night. You see what I'm talking about. It is great. You should try it. And I haven't been to the Lynchburg one. That might be on a whole nother level that might be. This is why I stand. You got a people watch people watch. You get out there about what nine o'clock. Would you think it's got to get dark first? Yeah, it starts to get rough on a Friday night. Logan and I pulled up one night. We wasn't there, I don't know, five minutes and the dude gets out of his car and he has a sword attached to he walks in and out. Man. We do some work in the city of Lynchburg for a company out there that does low income housing well section eight yep. And I had one of my guys working over there the other day yesterday and he told us today he was like, yeah, you know, I saw the heard some holler and saw the police running after he said, looked out the door he said, there's a guy button naked, running down the hill. He said it was an older man. He was booking it right down the hill, button nked, screaming, don't send the dogs on me. The stuff you see over there, you wouldn't want to be there at night, But it's just as good during the day. I'm telling you, if you want something to experience that you've never experienced before, each police department has a ride along program where you can walk in, fill out a little form and then you can ride with a police officer. You should do it just to see the night shift or day shift. Night shift is a whole other level. Day shift is boring because it's mostly theft. Like I was shocked at how many people steal during the day. That's most of the calls just theft. But nighttime it can be anything. But it's the same people. That's what's scary is it's like they'll pull up me like, hey, Red, Hey, I'm back here again. Man, Oh no, she won't leave me alone. You know, it's the same people over and over and over, and you're just like, how come the criminal justice system does nothing? They don't do anything, but they just keep going back and arresting the dudes. I mean, go on a rest dot org typeing somebody who you know has been in trouble with law before. It could be thirteen fourteen, Yeah, in a row. Yeah, I mean my buddy, he works for Bevery County Sheriff's Department, and he tells us a couple couple very random stories about his encounters. Yeah. I mean, and you can. That's the thing you should ride I'm telling you, just ride along. I just like to go on a rest dot org and look at people from my high school that I graduated with. That's what I do in my there you go. That's better than doing it for your employees. Yeah, you're in a business. That's that's where I get my employees. It's most of it. Man, you've got arrested last night, Bedford, Campbell, Lynchburg. Yeah, that's exactly right. I don't know. Great show. Do you have anything else? No, man, it's awesome, fun show. I'm so glad you stepped in. Happy to do it. Yeah. No, it's good to know that we have a your audience too. I think it brings some younger perspectives to everything. Well, once we get the video on a regular basis, I think the show will just become bigger and bigger. I was shocked. I think it was it was last week's show with Kent Robie. I just kept seeing where how many times people watch the video. I watched the I didn't watch it live because but I watched it on when you repost I think it was, yeah, reposted on Facebook. I was like, man, it's like I gotta go take a shower before this next week. Yeah. Yeah. So I was shocked at how how well it was received. And I actually got requests from uh, mister Robie, the people he people who aren't necessarily tech savvy wanted to know how and so we just sent a clip and he was able to share it with people, and so, I mean there was people asking about it. So it's it's good that we have that that kind of resource here. And I mean there's other other people too that I'd like to know about Mark Calvert, we've had on before. We'd like to have him back on maybe talk about that stuff too. But man, I just don't understand how an event like that sort of gets glossed over already. It just happened. It was an inside job, Yes, it was an inside job. Something's happening. He was one hundred and fifty yards away on a roof, on a roof, and she's the director, the former director of the Secret Services, saying that the sloped roof was an issue when the sniper who shot him was on the slope roof. And the one that got me was when she was asked, have you been to the site? She said oh, she said oh. She tried to get around it, but then she she said no. She said what she said noted just about everything, and she still hasn't been. No, she's not going. No, of course not. And I don't understand why, Like what, what does it hurt you to go? If one of your jobs catches on fire or collapses, of course you're going. You better go. Yes, I don't know, Great, show him go home. My daughter was taking private volleyball lessons and it's rough, like I know who the coach is rough, And so my daughter comes home. Her face is always red. She's just you know, the training that you would love it used to go. It's the same thing. I know, she's just miserable with it. Now. She loves volleyball, but man, I know she dreads getting the one on one lessons. It's yeah, there's nowhere to hide. Now you can't hide. Well, I'm glad again, I'm glad you're you're sticking around, you know, I'm glad that you're in the the uh, the the area that you're in for construction. I mean, it's it's a again. I just I talked to a gentleman here recently and I said, I wish we could teach a class, because I mean, we need it so bad. If if people my age aren't teaching, then it's going to be lost. It's already lost. Like it makes me totally lost art. When people say, oh, you know, I can get such and such to lay brick. There's a massive difference between a brick layer and a mason. If you've ever met a real mason, mason is very good. Someone who can lay block, that's just a dude off a street, correct. But I mean it's lost. Like, I don't know how many concrete guys will say, yeah, if you'll form me, we'll come forart. You'll form it. No, you're forming it exactly, I'm not doing it. I get that all the time. My biggest thing is when they say can you order some rebar? No? Right, no, no, And here's another idea. Make sure it's not laid on the bottom. Yes, pull it up like it's supposed to be. They make chairs for a reason, Yes, they make chairs for a reason. It's just it's not being taught. And I'm afraid we're going to lose, you know, some of us not being taught. Some of it's half assed. Correct. Yeah, you don't want to learn from the bad people either. And then if you just come into it, you don't know any better, right, You only know what you're being taught. So then it keeps going and keeps going, and keeps going, gets worse and worse and worse, because then the next person finds a short cut. Yeah. I met a kid one time, and I call him a kid because he'd only been in construction maybe three years, and he wanted a job as a trim carpenter. I said, all right, you know what type of trim have? Oh, base and windows, And I'm like, okay, that's nice. So he wanted thirty seven dollars an hour. I think. I was like, okay, you ever done like a six piece crown? There's no such things, really, it's not really, and you just that's when you realize there's there's levels of that stuff. Yeah. The trim carpenters, there's some really good ones who you would have on every single job that you have to schedule out six weeks out. And there's guys who you can say, hey, man, can you come run speed base and yeah, cord around, hit the road. That's right, charge me a linear foot I'm done. Yep. It's a loll start man. And it's so pretty when you see it done right. Trim is so pretty like when they put it up on the ceiling. Yeah. Man, that's layered trim. Transom's indoor transom. Yeah, that's layered trim. Layered trim looks awesome. Yes, get like a true judges panels instead of just putting some molding up against Drywallah the wayns coating. I will say in the Western Village, they did an awesome job with the trim selections. I'll pretty nice. All right, we're out of here, Emma. You can hit on. I see you packing up already looking on the ground. Good excuse, all right, we'll see you next week trying to be back in the studio. Travis. We'll hit you up and call you out of the bullpen. We'll let me know. Man I love doing it all right, see you
