Broadcasting on Grove Street FM, brought to you by Media Squatch. It's Life Liberty Happiness with your host Bryan Slide with Trent Water. There are many people who are drink in moderation with no problems social, moral or medical. They have learned to a joy liquor without letting it upset the functioning of their body. In mind, it relaxed. As you makes you more continual. I just had one that help to make a. Yeah, it ain't my phone, so don't blame me. I swear I just came here to one line, didn't have one drink. The way it looks ain't what you think. This cabinet has a way of vanishing on me. There's a hole in a bottle leaguing. All this line. It's one. Of the time and on this and is that this. In my mind there's a hole in a bottle line. All right, everybody, welcome to another episode of Life Liberty Happened this We are live in the David Homemaker Steak Farm Studios. Joining me today is Travis Spexter's backing the program back in the saddle. Back in the saddle, Emma's pushing buttons back there. Hello and Trent the saddle to join us at least for the first couple of segments, and then he's got a skidaddle. Well, wasn't the hierarchy have been me first? No, you're not in your seat? All right? When you're not in your seat, I'll give everybody a howdy. Oh, we got a good program set out for today. Everything's color coded nicely, ready to go. Yeah, my man is organized. He should have been an engineer. No, I didn't have the smarts of that one. I don't know. Have you met this one? He's been a good engineer for twenty some years. Now. How many years have you been doing it? Thirty two? Has it really been that long? That means we've known each other for thirty some years? Probably thirty? Yeah, because we met my first year. I came to Lynchburg in ninety four, Wiley Wilson. When did you start working ninety four? Okay? All right, good god, y'all have been friends on it. I've been a. Lot, am I getting? Really? Why do you laughs hard? I just laugh when you guys call yourselves old? We all we are old. No, my shoulders feeling it? Mem of the week is sometimes my pain is I don't know if I did something yesterday or it's just I'm fifty five. Dude. You know how many times I go to bed no pain and wake up with this god awful pain somewhere it doesn't matter, and you're like, what the hell happened when? Yeah, yeah, you never know. Yeah, it's got that left shoulder right now ten of night. It's like in your wrist. Yeah, dude, that will debilitate you. I swear when you get this age you two youngins is acupuncture, I swear. Still go for it. I go once a month. Did you get a place down here that just kept busting for prostitution? I guess I'm not going tomorrow. So I didn't know this, but they busted both of them at the same time. The Asian what was it called. I think it was called Asian massage or something that busted. That's an Asian massage, I swear to God, I think it is anyway nails it got busted, and simultaneously the one on Waterway. Oh really, Yeah, you sounds surprised that that one they get both your spots. Try trust me. I was like, when I hurt, I kind of knew my nephew Caunn of spill the beans. But yeah, I wonder, I wonder how you read that. Hey, I wonder if Robert Kraft was in there, remember that one. Not doubt you would have visited Bedford's Asian massage. Didn't get busted for that in Miami, Miami. Yeah, and then he was found not guilty. No, not guilty. It was uh singling out Asian people by the way to have a massage. I think that's the name of it. Well, my acupuncture lady doesn't do anything like that. She Asian. She's doctor Lee Eli. Yeah, she's a hard to understand, but man, she's a gene. First name Melanie. They always have like a you know, when she told me something that is really really Seelix Martine. So she is a doctor, a true doctor in Eastern medicine and Western medicine. She got her degree in Hong Kong, and she got her degree here in order to practice medicine. And she said she prefers the Chinese method. And it sounds so cool in that the Chinese method of medicine is to treat, treat the problem, figure out what the problem is, sure, where the Western medicine is mask the problem covered up with painkillers or something like that, and she says, so you are in more pain initially in the Eastern medicine than you are the Western medicine, but you figure out what's causing it. Take it away. Yeah, I thought it was cool. That is interesting. We learned something today. Hey, little root calls analysis. That's it. Moving on this day in history and now for the rest of the story. This day in history. Perfect. Oh man, she's so good. You're you're going, what do you did? You know what I was talking about? Apparently you're learning the hand signal. I know better than would he. I do a hand signal and he's like, what you got there? Yeah? Bang attention. I've called him. Man. If you could have seen his neck that day, remember that too. Doesn't cut to that. I mean he about broke his neck trying to get off his phone. He was texting his wife and called him anyway, This day in history. Hawaii became the fiftieth state of the United States in nineteen fifty nine. Trent, please tell us why elaboratory? Please, no, not why it was a state. What I've said is when you sent me the agenda, I didn't believe it. I was like, was shocked. I was like, damn, we made a state while my parents have been born. I thought the same thing, like my mom was alive when they're or Hawaii wasn't a state? Yeah, And I was like, if you asked me a trivia question, like if I did not see this on the agenda and you just said, Trent, when was Hawaii state? I would have said forties, eighteen seventy five. Oh wow, I wouldn't go oh, I got by that far. But I would have been in the ninety nine ers. I would have thought, you know, twenty thirties. And then I thought, well, shit, when did Pearl Harbor happen? Certainly that was forty one, and I went back and that's why I got down the digit nineteen forty one, so I remember. To say it. So essentially, Pearl Harbor happened, and Hawaii wasn't a state. Dad, It's crazy. And the little headline says it took them sixty years to become a state. Whatever they went through the process. I mean, we have things now like Dominican Republic, right, isn't that a no? Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico, thank you, territories, territories, but they're not states. That's why why don't we assooming? Well, Puerto Rico keeps every now and then its cycles around. When Obama was president, that was a pretty big thing that they were trying to get that to be the fifty first. But then I wondered, what did the flag look like before Hawaii? Was there just a missing star? I think, so it's just a missing Yeah, it was Alaska. Alasta became was fifty nine, but it was earlier that year. Okay, so yeah, I guess they added two stores, so. It's just too missing and we just figured out a place to go fill it in. Did they add one and then add another or did they go, let's just give it some time first and see if this works out. One big one for Alaska and a little one for a while. Democrats are like, we don't want Alaska, keep keep Hawaii. They keep voting Democrat? And how does that happen? Like I've always wondered that, Like, how does what happened? They never voted Republican? Right? How I know? I mean there's been landslides since nineteen forty one. Oh, that's true. I would think they had Reagan had to because Monde only got Minnesota that's right. And Nixon only got Connecticut. I mean, my governor, I got Connecticut. That's a good point. Okay, that's why I'm here, all right. I had to this day in history? Who put the Travis get this? Let's see, Oh what we'll let Trent go first. Well, man, I'm in my kis in the list. I read right past it. What is it? That's why you got to do code. You probably should have had me as blue, probably blue, or take it out red as dead. I could. I could have probably done a green lime green. Go ahead. So get this. It is so weird when you go back to that history stuff and you go, what, yeah, exactly. So last week I talked about how who's the guy that is so big here besides life, livery, happiness, Ellen, that's Ellence, Okay. He's the one that taught me that we had a full blooded American Indian as a vice president. Today. I read one today. I was like, what it was, we helped overthrow the government. Of Iran nineteen fifty three. Yeah, nineteen fifty three. I was like, how long has the CIA been doing this stuff? That is just wild? And it's said, I mean literally it said. The article was the CIA was involved with the British CIA. Whoever the British since I'm telling this agency is Britain, decided it's too much a political mess and the guy that was the dictator kicked him all out. Well, somehow, the CIA stayed in Iran and they kept plotting and plotting and plotting, and then they created the Shaw. The Shaw is the title that overthrew the guy. And from nineteen fifty three to nineteen seventy nine we were friendly with Iran. So it's funny because if you really look at the CIA's history of doing this, it usually ends up bad for us, like they did this with Cuba, and that's how we ended up with that in the Umbar Castro. Like he was never going to be a dictator, Yeah, like they kept he had tried numerous times and failed. It wasn't until we got involved that he succeeded. Yeah. And I'm telling you, man, when you listen to those phone calls where JFK is lighting up the people that are in the CIA, yeah, and you. Realize hmm, yeah, of course they took him out. Yeah, we believe are you listening. I don't need anybody on a train track because I leave here. Yeah anyway, yep, that was fine, all right, Travisa Lisa, Yeah, I thought that was interesting too. Yeah, it was stolen by three handymen in nineteen eleven. Hey, let's take the painty. Do you think they put up like a fake one, like the guy hand drew one and just set it up there. Now, I've been great Like Tuesday, they figured out damn who put that up there? Oh? All good stuff. Moving on to drama. All right, looks like Ben and j Lo are on the outs. I read today where they're getting a divorced Now brings a tear to my eye. It's just it's funny because I've been seeing tiktoks of Ben and her getting out of a car, and Ben always looks so angry, and they show pictures of him, and it's like, a, right, this can't be good. Haven't they been together before? Yeah? I mean this is like like married with kids. Before or just I don't know about that together what you got? It always looks irritated by her. Oh, yes, that would be all of her ex husbands look irritated by her. Yes, I'm starting to think she is the problem. Yeah, I don't know them Latinas they get on your nerves after a while. Probably probably, I'm just saying that was a story one. Oh my god, for some reason, I have no idea where you're going. Oh yes, you do, promising Richmond travel Ball tournament. Oh yeah, in the middle of the night, everybody's sleeping, and then all of a sudden, her phone goes off wide open music of some like heavy metal, and you're like, I don't know why she uses that as a ring tone. She had a badass pool of them, Yes she did. As I'll probably stop talking about this move on. I Marty was listening, probably had sex coming through. I didn't want to get ayone in trouble. Anyway, hearing everybody be a good cartoon. So what's the question about Matthew Perry on the agenda? You might not like him, won't go for a swim later, h A saw where I think they're charging people in his death really because of the overdose. Yeah, yeah, it's it's sounding more and more like that they should do that kind of stuff. Absolutely, they never did charge anybody with Michael Jackson, right. There was a lot of court cases about that though. Yeah, but apparently there's like five people. I thought they said he drowned. I thought that's what they said. Well that was original. But now I think they're finding out that they had drugged him. I mean, I tried to kill him, and. All it takes is be too relaxed and you dip your head in and go to sleep. Trust gone. I'm wondering if my wife she gets me gone lot of him. I keep getting tired of them. Maybe she's maybe I'm on the list next. He's a knell. Shouldn't have bought that thing, all right? Uh, Phil Donahue, do you remember him? He doesn't. Now, That's what I was trying to see if he just had any reactions. Yeah, so yeah, Phil Donahue, he was, like you said, he was the first liberal. I was considering the original liberal. Yeah, like having a show and. Just using it as a platform. And somehow, some way, when I was young, I knew that, Like I knew this guy's lying. Yeah, you know what I mean, Like, if you watch it, I know you're gonna get in the DNC and I gotta leave. So I gotta at least throw that barb in there. It is just Live City. Oh it's horrible. Yeah, but he was one of the original liars. Yeah, all right, you're listening to Life, Liberty, Happiness. Now it's time for sports. I am. I'm actually go on Friday to shop for my US Open trip. I just don't want to look like a goon man. I don't want to know trauma. Oh did you have It's not on the list. I know, but that's when you ask, you say, do you have any trauma? No, if it's not on the list, he gets it. If it's not color coordination, I'd go back. And have anything on drama? Did you have anything for I wanted to bring it up because I thought Emma would be like, oh, that show, but I was wondering if she's even new about it. Scott Peterson and Lacy Peterson, the whole Netflix has a documentary of this. Dude, do you remember the story? Yeah? All right, California. So we watched it Sunday night and I couldn't really remember the story. But dude, have you all seen the movie Gone Girl? You've never seen the movie Gone Girl. I know of it, but I didn't watch it all the way through homework assignment. You gotta watch Gone Girl. It's unbelievable. But it's been affleck so that Mimi where you always see him with a cigarette and he's got his well he's got that look that's from Gone Girl for sure. But anyway, it is got to be based on the Lacy Peterson story, and you have never seen a cold blooded killer so calm in all your life. Him him, didn't he get ready to get a new trial. Possibly so he still maintains his innocence. And when you're watching it, you go, you know those dramas where they get you, well, that sounds possible, and then you go, there ain't no way. I kept going back and forth the whole way, but it's three episodes, and there's no way. You can watch just one episode. You have to watch all three. I'm still hooked on Dateline for some stupid reason, and I've got I'm starting to have nightmares about freaking murders. But I will say this, it. Is and Ashley up on you with her throat, hands around your throat. That's a nightmare. I think it's actually happened. Give you massage, massage at thor axis. Anyway, the ones where I watch the evidence or whatever, and they I will say, they do a good job of just showing the stuff, and I'm like, there's no way you can't find them guilty. And then they find them innocent and you're like, how, like, I don't understand. I don't understand evidence stuff. You think it's editing and they didn't give you everything you needed to know. No, because they'll interview the prosecutor as to why they lost and they always say the same thing. Look, when you're not allowed to bring in certain evidence, it really changes how the jerry looks at things. And you know what, you watch enough of those shows, and you think our justice system was set up to it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt, and we do everything we can to make it. The defense have a defense, right unless your name is Trump, your name is Trump opposite, Yeah, you don't get to bring anything to help yourself and we get to bring in everything that could make it awful. Yeah. No, there's no doubt about that. But anyway, I'm sorry, I just want to go back and say it. Well, we'll give you a real quick one and then we'll move on. Yeah, watching this and this was a guy who killed his first wife, put her in a box and just left it somewhere. Watch it. Okay, moves on to the next one. She disappears, they can't find her body. They end up arresting him ten years later. They charge him with the first murder because they find the box in the body. Right, he's on trial, they're not allowed to bring in his second wife as evidence that the disappearance of her. They find him guilty. They allow the sister of the second wife to come in and speak at his sentencing. Well, why yeah, if you wouldn't allow it. Now here's where it gets really bad. He cuts a deal while in prison and admits to killing the second wife, but can't tell him where the body is. This prosecution gives him that deal, which shortens his sentence of his original He only does six years for two murders. Wow, and the other prosecutor can't charge him with anything because there's no body. Even though he. That's scary. It's like, that's when you know our justice system sucks from the poor lady. All right, sports see him just I know, but it was entertaining. Yeah, we're three minutes past. It's actually not bad, all right. Live. Yeah, this was y'all's weekend. Y'all got a chance to go down. And Travis and Uncle Trent went down to live. Travis got me tickets, Marty and I got to throw down. Her son would So when you sent me, I think a picture and you said, dude, ACDs he playing this. And it was the first thing I thought of I've never been. I've been to one PGA event. It was the Windom done in Greensboro, and it was a great time. It was one of those party holes. Yeah, we just partied and drank there, but it wasn't rock and roll like this was rock and roll. And they played the music the whole weekend right now. The only time they cut the music off was on the playoff hole or no, on the eighteenth hole when Brooks and Rom were tied. They cut the music off when Rom was about to put a twenty footer for Bird and they totally you could hear a pin drop on the eighteenth green and they cut it off. They kept it off for the playoff hole. That was it. Yeah, it's cool, you can go walking in there. Brooks Kupka John Rock. So we got lucky and I got there Saturday. It went Saturday, and so Travis's dad, David, and I followed him around for most of the day, the two of them, and it just happened to be rom and Kopka and they were a few shots back then, and then the next day they were in the playoff hole. Oh yeah, it's really quick. Was I'm a Brooks guy, which I know Maria is too. Yeah, so I. Was following her and following him, and. I like Brooks Kopka But isn't isn't he an ass? Yes to the s to the one that I liked Chambeau. They had a little rivalry. They have a little rivalry, and he's he's one of those dudes who he walks around. He knows he's good. He is good, and he's gonna make. Sure you know about it, like a Bryce Harper almost, And I like, I love Bryce Harper. I love Brooks. After he won, my girlfriend's brother kept trying to get his autograph and he kept turning him down. Like my girlfriend's brother chased him through the hotel and Brooks was checking out of his hotel room and he finally gave him a signature. Yeah, but he was there for like two hours waiting for Brooks. Cool and Brooks like wouldn't give anybody any autographs nothing, But I was, you know, everybody doesn't like that, but. Got a smoking hot wife took. Yeah. Yeah, she's a big time instagrammer. So Marty's a model and she's a model. Yeah, it's pretty good looking. Yeah. Is she on the same level with Gretzky's daughter, No, I mean she's older. Gretzky's dollar is way younger daughters like thirty five Jenna sims Is. Wayne Gretzky has a daughter that's young. She's married to Dustin Johnson john dj Oh you didn't see her there, No, she wasn't there. Just kidding. It was not the attendance. They say that they're probably gonna take it away from the Green Brier because the attendance was pretty low. I mean Friday, so I went all three days and Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Friday, so back and forth. No, no, No. We had an airbnb because my girlfriend's parents went the year before and they booked the airbnb in February before they even announced. But remember that contact I was telling you about to live might be able to give us. She told us a little bit earlier. She was like, Hey, they're having it at the Greenbrier. So they snagged a her Airbnb and we stayed. There's three bed, one bath, ten minutes from the course. Wow. Yeah, it's a great experience. Nobody there Friday. That's pretty You can literally walk up to the green wherever the hole is, park yourself right there and then walk to the next hole. And you see all. These huge golfers, Sergio Bryson, Kepka, Ram Lefty, Yeah, Mickxon was out there, Micklson was out there, and you could I just watch bigger in My stepdad played the pro am. Really yeah, so Thursday, I know, yeah, Thursday, because a Friday, Satury, Sunday, Thursday, him and his buddy. His buddy's daughter is the one who has the. The hookup with live. She calls him up, Hey, we need two guys to play at the pro am. And they get in there and they're on the pudding green and he takes a video. Dustin Johnson's putting at the hole next to him and I can't remember. Oh, Phil Micholson was putting right there. They had lunch with them and they were sitting near Kopka and all them, and they play with Taylor Gooch, which Gooch is on the same team as Koepka, and he was he was up there for a while. I think he ended up finishing fourth or fifth. So is it still I mean, is the team thing taking off or is it still just it's cool? It is. Yeah, they have a team and then and the logos and stuff are cool. The marketing is cool. I will try to watch it on TV and it doesn't make any sense to mean, it still doesn't make sense. Is it's sort of like F one where you have the driver and the constructor, So it's kind of a kind that's right. Yeah, so they did have the teams and the shows just exactly what you said. It's like constructors and I guess for teammates the whole year. It takes what they do. I don't know what they do, but it's like pretty much four guys per team. They have a captain and that's kind of how they run it, and they take the top the first two days, they take the top three scores from your team, and then on the fourth day all four scores matter, so it takes all that into effect. Cool. Definitely worth it. I hope they don't lose it because that's a fun event to go to. You won't do all three gate three days again. No, I mean I was walking like twenty thousand steps a day and it's I would go. You know, there's nothing going on on Friday and they're bumping and you can drink, and they got the hospitality stuff and all that good stuff. But I mean, if I was in a hospitality tent three days, like Club fifty fours their eighteenth green big time hospitality tent, I would go for all three days. And because they have like high dollar chefs that come in, everything was free in there. It cost like seven. Hundred dollars a day to get in there unless you have a hospitality pass. But I wouldn't if I had to walk the course again, I would not. We did that one year. Somebody screwed up or window package and so Jildwin flew us to the TPC. It's all grace so and we got to play it before they had the tournament. Yeah, and then we had hospitality. We actually stayed in the hotel with the golfers. Really but yeah, God Camp Snetecker was across the hall front Brent, so we would go down the breakfast. I mean we were. It was so nice. Everything was given to you, and you like you. I mean, dude, I sat at the seventeenth, which is the famous one. You know, yeah Island every hour, different food. I mean they're taking out stuff that's you know and putting in brand new stuff and it's like you said, chefs, and. It's just they made it pretty cool, whereas like unbelievable the stadium green at in Arizona, What of course is that Phoenix. It's at the Phoenix Open. They made it the eighteenth Green like that. It was like a stadium all around. It's so cool. I sat at seventeen because I lost a bet because I hit it in the water, so I had to drink a shot in the sales rep comes back with a cup that big full from top to bottom of Maker's Mark and he's like, here's your shot. I'm like, that's he's not a shot. And he goes bartender and the bartender goes, that's her shots, and I'm like, this is messed up, dude. I just was not going to be the guy that fell on TV. So I said I'm here for the day and I just sat there and sipt on that damn Maker's mark all day. I was like, the hell with that, I'm not going to be the drunk. Yeah that's a yeah's a cool event. I mean, I had music everywhere and everything like that. Cool, it's awesome Michigan racem What what caused the green White Checkers tricks trucks rack? He just looked like he got loose or something, hit the wall and was Tyler gonna win anyway? Yeah, Readdick, Yeah, okay, yeah, and that's what this is a Monday race. I didn't really think about it. It was funny because they played his audio and dude, it was bleepity bleep, mother bleep bleep. All I see is he scraped the wall? Why are we throwing a costume? Blah blah blah. And so I saw where Denny Hamlin interviewed him, and he he said, uh, have you had a chance to go back and look at the replay? And he said no. He said, but I could tell from his car it was probably a little harder hit than I was, because he just wanted to win. Oh, he's in the moment. I mean, you're like, because nobody was near him and then all of a sudden their lineup and you know, anything can happen. Then why did reddit Reddick give the race dedication to a guy I never heard of? So that guy's a legend. Yeah, in the uh out, yeah, big time. And uh he got killed in a plane crash. Oh so I didn't know what that was about. So he was on Junior last year and Junior interviewed him and they talked about his obsession with planes. I mean he had a small plane just like a museum. I mean, that was his obsession and that's what killed him. So he was like test Palin And it's hard to believe. How many famous people do that and die. Yeah, Jack Rauscher must died that way, that's right. Yeah, it's crazy. But anyway, it was I mean, the race was okay, even though it was Monday. It had some storylines here there where the tires same for everybody. I think they're going to make that just short track. Okay, it's a lot easier to do that, they're I mean, you had some tire stuff like some people doing two versus four or things like that. It did normal, but I mean, and it was different. There was some passing, but it's still everybody was calculating mileage, which I mean race is left till the Daytona, the final race of the regular Sea which one is the final race is the data then there's only like three then because I think they're at Darlington, No idea. I don't know either. I'll get staffed to look it up. I think we're at Darlington and then Tyladega Talladaga's in the in the chase. Anyway, we'll get staffed to look it up. What time do you have to leave? Uh? Sports over all? Right, we dragged this out Baseball News. Actually Daytona is next, So this is it? That's crazy. It says Daytona, then Darlington. Darlington is the first race of the the it is, That's what that's if I'm reading this correctly. Huh. I didn't know Daytona was the last. Well I know it was last year, and I just assumed it was again this year. That makes many change. I know, you're right it could be it could be Darlington. So Daytona's next and then Darlington. But definitely watch Daytona. I wonder if it's a Saturday night race. Mm hmmm. Used to do that in the summer. Yeah they should so, I mean anyway, Baseball News, the O's are still in first place, No idea. Yeah, they're up. Okay, last I saw they were tied with the Yanks. They're they're half game up. I believe, and that's are still struggling about ten games out of five hundred. I kind of said they brought up they have not the guy family and they keep yeah, they keep saying that him and the house I think are coming up. And I mean when you look them up, it says there do any to come up any day now. But I don't know what the hold up would be, like, why would you wait. So they don't have to pay him next year? It is something to do with that. Yeah, they might. I mean why this season is already done. I mean it's loss for they But. They said they're going to bring them up this year. But that's why I don't understand why you wouldn't do it. Now, let them get some playing time. If you're not going to bring him up, then that's fine. Do you want to make a shout out for what's going on next week? College football segue? Yeah? Do you want to know? You? Go ahead? No, I'm not even gonna be here, all right, I got it? Yeah, go ahead. When we have a standoff Travis Johnson, Trent will be gone next week? Is that what you mean? That's not the highlight of the week. Aaron Stam will join US for college football preview. Ye see, if you can get him to talk a little bit about his fantasy football desires. Okay, he runs our league the draft the following week. Who wins that league every year? Your dad is usually that's the top one or two every year. He's got crazy. He's got back to back. Yeah. Wow, do y'all get a belt or anything? I think I finished. I don't have a whole lot. Yeah, Sam gets a ring. Dad's got both of them in his truck. Of course he does probably hanging from the he's. Got him in the boxes and the truck up above where you always put the coins at. He has them up there. Nothing else up there. Oh it's crazy because, uh, when we were in Louisiana, I'm watching a football game, high school football, and it was in Georgia, and I was like, I wonder, So I texted your dad. I'm like, hey, where do you teach? Because I was just curious. Chattahoochie High School and yeah, but this was I can't remember. It was a northern, uh, Georgia high school. But they were ranked like sixth or something. Was fun watching them play at. School, where Travis Hunter went as, oh, what's that you know, I'm probably speaking to people who don't know. Yeah, I can't remember what school he went to. They're good, and then Buford's good. Buford's really good. That's what your dad was saying. Yeah, it's just it's a different Listen. I keep saying this, it's different in Louisiana, but I'm finding out it's different everywhere. But Virginia, I think we're the abnormal state that doesn't spend money on athletic programs. Yeah, I mean we got like high school stadiums. I think LCA stadium is the nicest now, but JF had the nicest before that. Yeah, But I mean it's not like Georgia is big time, like. Oh yeah, they're stadiums. I mean when I went down to visit Dad one time, he took me through Buford's campus and not just their football stadiums, right, extremely well now everything is, but they're football stadium is like right. And you just and that's what coach Watchkin has talked when he came back about Ohio West Virginia places that he recruits, that the stadiums are freaking They spent a lot of money on their athletic program. They got a lot of people that go to those to those events. I just think there's not as many football craze fans that if your son's not playing on the team, that you're even gonna go to the football game. You don't think. I think that's kind of what it is. I mean, I think it's because we don't put emphasis on it. I think that's also part of it. There's no emphasis when we. Look at all the kids. How often do you see number one quarterback from Hampton and he said FSU or Clemson or something like that. They're all from Virginia. But it's like we don't we don't know because we don't ever hear about it. Yeah, I mean we LCA has had a couple like Zach Rice. He was like number one problems at tackling the Nation. Yes, we went to see but that was I mean it. You know, everybody who comes to l CIA A lot of times we've just got to lun Yeah. I don't know, it just we don't put enough. The stadiums are freaking ridiculous other places. Well, I mean when we played football for LA when we were playing in Liberty Stadium, we didn't you couldn't hear. We were so excited every year because they would say every year, Hey, we're building a stadium. We're building a stadium. We're building a stadium. And they never did it until we graduated. But I mean you can't. They would fill out alarm side. I mean you know, they would fill out the home side, but you still couldn't hear anybody cheering. You could hear cowbells, but on the field you can hear anything. That's where we're so excited when we're a JF football field atmosphere. Yeah, and it's like that place. You can hear the fans. They pack it out. It looks like it's full crowd. Now they do, and it's well. Gideon Davidson, he's I don't know what number, but he's going to Clemson, is he? So he's there now? No, he's not. Still he's still a senior. He's a beast man. I played football his brother. His brother wasn't nearly is good. Same athleticism. Yep, college football. Yes, Aaron stam Man, you're trying at the bits around the corner. I'm trying to get back to your gentle. Sorry. Anyway, Aaron is coming in next week. We will do our college football breakdown. I'm looking I'm looking forward to it. Do you have a prediction since you're not going to be here, you have like a no, I just can't wait to start doing fan duel again. And we've got twelve team playoffs. Twelve team playoffs. Yep, you're liking this. I think I read. I think the first round is at the home. The first two rounds, I think, I think quarterfinals, well, once you get to the semi finals. But there's gonna be like four rounds, isn't it because with twelve teams. I think so. But I thought it was just the first round. But here's what I didn't like. I think the first round and we'll get Aaron to confirm this, I guess. But it's higher seeds though hmmm, Like I think the top four teams have like a buy so then I think it's everybody else playing. It's the higher seeds that host, which is great. We talked about like some of these bowls that are empty. Yeah, and now you're at least gonna pack out like if like like Logan say, if LSU is in with Liberty, I mean it's gonna be sold out wherever it's at, either place, it's gonna be phenomenal. Why do you think it'll be sold out? Oh? Just a stadium, oh a home Yeah, just. Having a home stadium environment. Having it in Jacksonville's not gonna do anything for you. It'd be like Liberty and Organ last year. They didn't, right, I mean you don't. It's stupid. Yeah, but the having a playoff at home to the higher seed makes all the difference in the world. I'm excited to say who number twelve will be because that's the at large gun. Right, they're requiring us them to get a non power five. Yeah, so yeah, Number Liberty would be the real would be it. But I think I saw University of Texas, San Antonio to UTSA whatever that is, and that's the school that I read was favored. Would be that they're in Liberty's conference, right, m I thought they were. Yeah, they are they are. Yeah. I'm gonna jump in a hot. On it now. Emma does no sports, y'all don't. We never would have got that from Woody, never to launch the college football season. Can I play this this clip for you? Yeah? Can you find cut fifteen? All right, you're gonna love this. This is my favorite football clip ever. Okay, trying to get our two boys ready to carry the golf tournament before practice, right love, twelve cats live across the road. Our door's open, screens broke. We need to get a new screen. Door, but screens broke. So you can come in through the screen, but you can't get back out of I turn to look. There's a little kitty cat in our in our kitchen. So I said, what are you doing in here? A little kitty cat. By that time the cat turns, tries to get back out, that screen won't go that way. Cats all crazy, and I told our players we need more dogs. Bows bargain in the back after go shut bow up. I was like, what's going on? I said, the catting house. Catt in the house. I said, it is a cat in the house. So I told our players. I tried to let it out the front door. Man, weird cat's still going crazy in there. And I told our players. You needy bit more like a dog. We don't need a bunch of cats in here. Looking in the mirror, I look good. I got my extra bands on, I got my other shoes. Be a doll. We don't need no now, we don't need no cats. We need more dolls. We don't need no meows. Occasionally there are speeches that coaches give that are transcending, and this was always one of them. It's like, it's at the top of the list. I don't know where that guy is now. Oh it doesn't matter. Like he's a legend because of it. Yeah, I love that. I love kicking off football season with that. And so that's actually in the second hour. I was going to end the show, but since I was leaving early, I wanted to at least hear it before I went out the door. All right, so what is your your take on coming up this weekend? You've got FSU and Georgia Tech playing. That should be a romp, wouldn't it should be? But you're in Dublin, Ireland. So do the convicts go off the wagon? You drink a little bit too much? Well, Georgia Tech just got a new quarterback this year, didn't they? From the portal? I mean Florida State did too. That's the thing, Trent. You can't say anymore because you don't know the portal. Yes, the portal changes everything. He's been a three colleges, three different Power five schools. Why should he succeed. He still in around. Yes, he went to a different school. He's the starter at Florida State. Shrug, Yes, he's the starter. At Florida State. I had no idea that he started at Clemson and left four. Emmas around. No, that's you're right that it changes everything, and it's so cool. I like it. I dislike it. I like it because it's so up in the air, like, yeah, you'll go, wait a minute, wouldn't he playing? And you like kJ Jefferson is a prime example. I thought that Georgia Tech got a new quarterback. This year, speaking of transfer, portal and local Keenan Cupid you remember him, Yeah, he went to UCS and he transferred. He's now doing what do they call this HBC schools h historically black. Yeah, yeah, he's uh, he's at Virginia Union this year. Okay, yeah, so guy, we used to work with Ron Driscoll. His grandson is at Norfolk State now playing baseball. Oh really yeah, which is a HBCU. Oh cool. Yeah, it doesn't make sense to man. The math is not adding up math. But yeah, oh, Haines King he was there last year. Okay, but he's they said a kind of their coach is pretty good, right, Like he prepares them. Well, I guess I was watching the game that they played. I think it was Myami and they came back in like within a minute and that was yeah, prime time college football. So does does Clemson get back to its winning ways this year? No? So, no, they're not. I root for Dabo, but he still is not doing the transfer porter right. Yeah, that's I mean, that's what you got to play the game. Why do you think Saban got out because he didn't like the way it was going and so he was like, I'm not going to try to keep up with this at my old age. I feel like, you know, So Dabo's so headstrong. I mean, he's he's not going to play with that, got it? But if he ever does win, if. He does, I mean, he's such a good coach. He's a Bama boy, so he's awesome. He's such a great coach. Lived with his mama, but you know he I love that story. I don't know what you're talking about. I think he said that he lived with his mama or somethings freshman year as Bama or something because they couldn't. I don't know. He was a walk on or something. I don't think he could afford until he literally lived in a one bedroom apartment with his mother in order to make it. What are you gonna do? He won't when he's too headstrong. Yeah, it's not it's not gonna pay off. I do. I'm rooting for that. I love what he says about it. I agree. My transfer portal is when they transferred from high school to come here, correct and play. You like it, I don't mind it. I think it opens up way to the new transfer portal rules opened it up to where all right, you can transfer and play. Yeah, and I think it's it. It should show NFL recruiters that, hey, this guy went from Clemson to Oregon State to Florida State. What I mean, if you're following a coach, I can understand it. But I mean if you're just dropping out, Man, we sucked this year. I'm I'm gonna go somewhere else that I'm not a fan of at all. My sympathy is for the quarterback that may have been there for three years and it's his turn and some big name shows up and just takes it from him. Yeah, that's what that is. What sucks because that's essentially what happened to Miles Brennan. He was a stud at LSU and jayde Daniels comes. In, Yeah, from Arizona State. Yeah, and you're just like, yeah, good luck with that. Whoever was next on the Florida State. But I will give Miles credit. He finished at LSU and didn't play football, he didn't transfer. We got a guy like that, Ty Simpson at Bama and he's sticking it out. Yeah, he's sticking it out. What's his name? Stuck it out of Uva? Right, the LCA kid Roco Lane, Oh, Davis Lane. Well, then he actually changed positions. He's safety. What I mean is he playing? Last year? He was on kickoff and special teams, So I don't know about this year. But again you don't know transfer portal safety comes in and then you're screwed. Like you said, Yeah, I'm just not a huge fan of You don't have to sit out a year or however. They the way a lot of people. Yeah, and there's all the media pressure. Sure, it's all. It was same thing with money. Yeah, it's a lot of money too. Hey have you heard what Nebraska's doing? I know you've got to get out of here. And I keep dragging this out, but it's just it's interesting to me. Nebraska said they have just simply put a athletic budget together, and they're because they're expecting a court case where it's going to be and I don't understand the whole arbitration laws and stuff. They're saying the NIL is going away and that it's just going to be straight paid from universities and all athletes will have to get paid a certain stipend. I mean, they had stipends before. I know, it's just going to be more. Yes, that's what he said. And Dartmouth, I think, is the one that is screwing it up because they sued and there's some antitrust law or something that they're saying that athletes are paid should be paid athletes. So if that that's the case, then they're just going to start paying athletes. I don't like how ridiculously you can pay an athlete, Like whoever cuts the biggest check. I don't like that at all, because then you get people in here who got a big check sure, and they play half assure and there's no going back, and then they grab a check and then head back like I think Cayden Proctor did that when he transferred to Iowa, exactly what I think. He grabbed a check from Bama, grabbed one from Iowa and then came back. Yeah. I mean, I don't know if they wrote him another check. But all right, capitalism, anything else in sports, missed anything? All right? All right? Oh F one F one is back. Yeah. They are in the Netherlands. An orange crowd, that orange yea. If Red Bull doesn't win, it's not gonna be we smoke all over that track. Oh yeah, let's orange smoke out. Yeah, yeah, it should be interesting. Neither one of you watched a wnba. Hey speak speaking of F one, and I was thinking about this, the rise of McLaren. Yes, do you think RCR has found something that all of a sudden that they're up towards the top. I think they've been working on it. Listen, it's my personal opinion. I think when they fired Andy Petrie, a lot of things have changed. Let's not say that that didn't do anything. I didn't even know they did that. Yeah, mid season, just like four races ago. Okay, it just started changing. Maybe he wasn't willing to cheat and now they are that very well could be. Well, it just seems like they're upfront now all of a sudden. Yeah, all right, moving on. What's happening. It's time for news, all right, Now we can settle down and have a good show. Is out all right, Travis? The d NC convention is underway. Have you watched I watched a little bit on during dinner last night. I was eating spaghetti and I watched a little bit of it. I watched a guy from he was I think he was former military from Alabama, former Trump voter, and they made sure to keep that on the screen. Former Trump voter, and he was kind of trashing his Trump's terrorism policy. Hmm, this policy that succeeded. Yeah, well you know. And I saw another lady vote. It was Milania's secretary or whatever, the first she claimed to be the first person to leave after the January sixth. She was speaking a little bit and she said, oh, I texted Milania, should we tweet about everybody be peaceful and stuff like that? And she said, Melania texting me back, no, whatever. Yeah, I can't. I try to watch it, and I swear i'm watching. I guess this is what I've never understood, Like if you study the Constitution. You understand, it's a pretty basic principle of representation for the federal government level that it's we the people are the ones in charge. And when I watch the DNC, it's obvious to me who's in charge. Like it is a group of elite people, your actors, your rappers, your you know what I'm saying. It's a show, and it's like, that's you want those people making decisions for you. I want to know how it became those elites that are Democrat. Couldn't it have easily been these elites are Republican? How where was that at? Where was the divide? Yeah? Where was that? I mean where did that say? Oh, well, because you like this, I like this, and the rest of the world, like, I have. My own theories and I will be glad to share them with you. My theory is that a liberal is great at telling everybody else what they should do, but they don't live it. And I think that is Hollywood to a tea. They will tell you what you need to do, but they're not gonna do it. I mean, listen, they're the same people that tell you not to use coal and you know you're hurting the environment. Meanwhile, they're out here driving and flying everywhere and going to whatever pool with chemicals. I mean, none of that's bad. And that to me has been their whole life. When I was on council, I bring this up. I was contacted by another personal counsel who I'm consider a liberal right and he said, hey, we're having a thing downtown. Should come And it happened to be with the NAACP. Yes, and he said you should come down here. It'd be a great, great time for you to have a photo op and stuff. And I'm like, huh, I don't need to go to that. I I do stuff in my community. I know people. I don't need to go to an event and take a picture and put it on Facebook. If you want me to sum it up. That's what I think liberals do. Yeah, they want they don't do the work. They do not go in the community. They say stuff about the black community, but they don't go in it. It's like Kamala has never been to the border. Yeah, Kamala says it all the time. I'm from the streets. No you're not. You have never well, you have no idea. And Donald Trump, Donald Trump will go, Yes, he needs to go more. I think he will go and that dude does not care like people. Remember when he spoke to the to the black whatever. It was a couple of weeks ago in Chicago, wasn't it where that la he was disrespectful and he was you know, he was basically saying, Camelo's not black. Well she's not, no, I know. But that's when he got like all those people were getting open. But somebody was a black rapper who likes Trump said, listen, if you're a white guy and you've been around black people your whole life, that is the way you talk because you're not uncomfortable. You don't mind saying he ain't black, because that's the truth. And he said he didn't look uncomfortable to me at all. He looked like he belongs there. And I do believe that. I don't. I mean, think about it, before you're before you were born it. I mean that's where he was. He was at all the boxing matches, at all the events. I mean, he was at concerts and stuff. So I mean, this is nothing new to me, Like that is who he is. I do. I just think they're fake everything about it. I mean, I think a lot of things a fake. I agree on both sides, but I will say I just feel like that it's just built on lies. Look at the jobs report that came out today. Just see that. No, this is what they do. They tell you how great the economy is, and then all of a sudden the truth comes out. But it's a side story. It's not the story. It should be front page and it should be talked about tonight at the convention. How do you get so. The jobs report came out today, it was overestimated eight hundred and thirty thousand jobs were never created. That's how over they estimated. It's nearly a million jobs. Exactly that they overestimated. How do you know that you're getting the right information? You don't exactly from either side. From either side, you don't. You can watch Fox News and they might be But here's what you can rely on. What can you rely on? That's what I want to know. What can you go to and a completely non biased thing? What can you go to Okay to actually truly see what you got a. Gas station and when you pump gas, what were you pumping in twenty eighteen? I think that's the problem. And when you go to the grocery store. What were you paying in twenty eighteen? They don't see it. I don't know why. Well they say, okay, well they see it, but they report. How are they keeping all these people on the limb that I'm going to vote Democrat? Because what is it? Because they say we're gonna do this, We're gonna do this, we're working towards it. Is that why they keep saying that it's been four years? Four years? No, I love A guy said it's been it's you're working on twelve and trying to ask for another because you had Obama. These are the same people. They're not different being They're the exact same people. The thing is, I hop in that truck out there and I go fuel up. This will be my first fuel up in this truck, YEP, And I'm sweating it exactly because I don't know how much I'm gonna be spending a month in fuel. Yeah No, did I have it somewhere in here about Don Lemon? I don't know. Yeah, I had it down here, but I'll talk about it right now. I'll move it up. I saw TikTok of Don Lemon. You know what I'm talking about. I would know all right, Well, he used to be he used to be on CNN Don Lemon. He was a black reporter, gay, but he was always anti Trump everything, and it got so bad that they just basically kicked him off. He was terrible. So now he's got his own thing and it's on TikTok. So he goes to the boardwalk in New Jersey and he just starts walking up and down and he's asking people who they're voting for, and he cannot find a Kamala Harris person. I don't know where they get their numbers from. I don't either, because I've seen stuff similar to what your talking about, and it's all a Trump twenty twenty four. Yeah, but he always every person he asked, he would ask why would you vote for Trump? And they would answer the exact same way. The economy was better under Trump. And he says to every single one of them, but the statistics don't say that the Biden Harris administration's economy is way better than Trump's. That's what he tells them. And they all say, you can't tell me that lie, right, and they walk away, and it's but it's what they The liberals have pushed this, and they tell the media that the economy is better. And that's all people see if they just sit at home and watch the news, that's all they see. But don't they see I don't know. It doesn't make any sense to me. That's why I'm trying to figure it out. Because there's all these signs out here about you know, you got your fuel, you got your I mean, let's go try. To buy a house. I know everything. Go try to buy a house right now. And this administration is telling you when they come in, they're going to give you twenty five thousand dollars to put down on a house. Well, where's that money coming? Where's it coming from? Exactly? And you don't don't think that that house now got twenty five thousand dollars more expensive, probably probably more. Yes, it's going to be probably more because if I know I'm building a house and you're getting twenty five, I'm adding twenty exactly. But the people believe them. By the way, two thousand and eight was the housing crisis, and what was it brought on? By giving loans to people who can't pay it. Back and then they didn't pay it back. And our banking rules are one hundred times more stricter. Yes, but now you have an administration saying, hey, we're going to loosen that, and we're gonna give you money so you can afford to buy a home. That's what's coming. They just don't know where it comes from. They think that they just print extra money. They say it, they just call it grants. But they're gonna get that money back somewhere. Of course. Here's it's the stupid mentality of the person who votes for it that says it's you know, it's government money, and you're like, like student loans, Okay, well they paid off my student loans. Okay, but you do know you're paying for it still, Yes, No, I'm not, Yes, you are. It's coming out of your check. That's why your taxes are That's why it looks like you make You know, on paper you make sixty thousand, but you're thirty. Yeah, you got thirty to forty. And it's like, how are you going to support a family of four on thirty or forty thousand dollars? I keep saying, you win by making her. Speak yes, but she hasn't done it. No, she's not going to. But even I saw a teleprompter cut this will be cut one were to pass. The first ever federal ban on price gauging on food. That's that's it, price gauging. I mean what she meant, price gouging. Oh, but she can't even read the teleprompter. And this is the person you're wanting in charge. Now, I saw and this could be just and I only saw it on Republican news outlets, that's the only place I've seen it so far, but that she is a raging alcoholic, yes, and that the I don't know if there's a secret service or local police comments and they said she was obliterated as wherever she talked. That. Here's the thing that I was hoping to find out with the DNC. Whenever they introduce who their candidate's gonna be, okay, they always do a video of sort of that person's life, right, It kind of introduces you, do because people may not know who she is, right, same thing I noticed this with Obama because they didn't do it with him either. So Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, you can go down the list, Trump, all of them. They will do a tutorial to introduce you to these people, so you so you know who I are, they are. They get to Obama, they don't do that. They don't tell you about his whole childhood. It's from Kenya. Well we don't, That's what I'm saying. And they're doing this with her. They're not going to tell you how she got where she's at because if they did it, does that look good? But that's what amazes me. You can go to Trump and you can show where he started his father's business, right, he did this, he did that, he sold this, he took Trump Tower, he built this, you know, and he became a billionaire. But you can't do that with them, Like what are you going to say? Who was she? Where did she start? Where'd she go to school? Does anyone really I mean people really know? But does the general public who doesn't deep dive into stuff. I don't know. They care if they make it Hollywood and make it look presentable. I still want to see that. But they can't even make that presentable, Like how do you make it presentable that she was sleeping with Willie Brown? A Republican would make that. But that's what happened exactly, and that is how she became a prosecutor. That's not a myth at his mouth. It amazes me all this stuff. How people just don't they take off the top. Oh, Trump's taking women's rights and they always go to abortion. Okay, what has a Trump said about abortion? Brian? I still can't figure out what right they're talking about. Has he taken any voting rights from women? Has he taken any speech rights from women? And anything like that? So we're talking about abortion. That's where we are. That's where we're at this. I'm against abortion, me too, But he has said I'm not even gonna get in it. I am giving it to the states. Yes, So what has he done? If you you need to talk, take that up with your governor. Since Roe v. Wade fail, there have been more abortions than before. So where did the rights go They're claim that they don't have just doesn't make sense. It's because old adage to what Trent? Now you say, why do they have bumper stickers that say honk for gay rights? What rights don't you have? Exactly? You can get married. That's the only right you need it, I mean you He doesn't say there's no signs on the door that says no gaze but honk, honk forget, but hank for gays. I don't get it. I don't. And what has he said anything? You know? I mean, I know Trump has a lot of clips of his locker room talk. I understand that, I get it. But what is he actually taken away? What has he said he's going to take away? Nothing? Nothing? And the biggest thing with them is abortion. That is their biggest thing. That's the only thing you hear when you say, okay, so what rights is he taken away? And they say, oh, well, the woman's right, you know, abortion and all that. Has he taken it away? Did he say he was going to take it away? No, he said he was going to give the power of that back to the state. Yeah, take it up with your governor. Listen, it's what this is what I've always said about abortion. And the Democrats know this. If you've felt so strongly about it. You've had Congress, Senate as long as I've lived, you've probably been in power. Out of my forty nine years, the Senate and Congress has been ruled by Democrats, probably thirty out of the forty nine years. Okay, And in thirty of those years, you've had every opportunity to pass a national abortion band or a national law that allows abortion. Why haven't they Exactly, It's like Biden. Biden's been in politics for how long and he hadn't done anything since, So why did they think he was going to do anything? Now? It's absolutely crazy. Well, we got to move on. I keep forgetting So Megan Kelly drops the poll today this morning. Let's here. She says that Trump is leading Harris by nineteen points between ages nineteen to thirty four. Wouldn't you think wouldn't you think that? Get the birds? Well, I don't know where they got the numbers. At no, I'm saying you're no, you're you're hitting. Number around Okay, So where do you think? What demographics? Exactly? What's Kamala Harris's demographics? People who just learn how to vote? It's got to there because if you're past thirty five, you don't have a brain. The same pole with Joe Biden. Trump was leading by seventeen, so he gained two points and somehow he's now losing to her. You would have thought that it would have been a landslide. Oh put Kamala in there. Yeah yeah. And then now, I mean it's all about the news outlets. I mean, what are they saying? What are they saying, you can't look up on Google what a poll is. They're not going to give you anything. What's your thoughts on what else to do? Uh? JFK or RFK. Oh, that's a solid move. I do too. I listen to a podcast with with RFK Jocko Willing podcast. They talk on there for about four three four five hours and RFK had a pretty solid drug abuse history up until he was twenty eight. He was an abuser and he's got a great story. Then, I think it picks up a lot of the independent vote of people on the line. They kind of jumped towards that. I saw an interview of a lady trying to get Trump to say something bad about about RFK by saying, oh, if he endorses you, would you find a spot for him in your administration? And he kept saying, yeah, I mean, I will will if you know Donald Trump. Donald Trump doesn't care if it's Hillary Clinton. If it fits, he's gonna put her in it. H I mean, I think that that helps you in the swing states where the independence. Agree is more. I agree, all right, So move on to Nancy Pelosi. I noticed how she kind of hides, but then she's not she's going to have to answer for what she did one way or the other. But anyway, play cut too. Please tell us what you told President Biden to persuade him to step aside. Well, I've never come I've never shared any conversations with the President of the United States publicly. No, it said that he's furious at you, is he? Well, he knows that I love him very much. I understand that you don't want to own this, but it is so well reported that you were the leader of a pressure campaign. No. I wasn't a leader of any pressure's party. Well, let me say things that I didn't do. I didn't call one person. I did not call one person I could always say to him, I never called anybody. What I'm saying is I had confidence that the president would make the proper choice for our country, whatever that would be, and I said that whatever that is, we'll go with. Had you seen a decline in Joe Biden and did you think he needed to step aside? No, My whole point was whatever he decides, but we have to have a more aggressive campaign. Such a lie I love how she said no, as if nobody saw it. She is such a liar. Was that the one I sent you, or to ask you that somewhere else. It's crazy man. All right. Cut three yo. What happened here? The United States Supreme Court majority wrote the following quote, what about or not without electrical without not allowed? There's not without electoral electoral or political power. That's democrats churn out where he said. He said, duh, and you figure out. What he's saying. Why are they cheering because they knew what he tried to say. They speak Joe Biden. Now I don't know man anyway. That's our number one. Stick around for our number two. Right now, we'll listen to a little Alabama mountain music. You shoot that mountain over there. Yeah, one of these days I'm gonna climb that map. Baby Afgusic, Both Baby Afgusic, b Baby Afusic mobaby. And now your top ten for the week. Now, she's more like. A fine alrighty. Today's top ten is things Trump can do in his campaign to win You ready for these? I'm looking at number ten and it's kind of like, should have been higher. No, it should have been like, oh no, shit. I agree, convert the blue stak a few of the blue stakes, which I think he can do. I think he can win a few of the blue I think he can win New Jersey. I think if he gets RFK, I think that could help. I mean absolutely, it's not going to hurt him now, like either the poles are completely lied all along. I think that's the possibility. Well, if it is, because that's what I'm curious about. All the NBC's polls at the same polls now still have RFK around ten eleven percent. It's been that way the whole time. Now, if he goes to Trump's favor, you take I guarantee you. They say, oh, well he was on around one percent. Yeah. Wait a minute, So I'm curious to see. I think they need a few blue states. Uh, and there's a few out there. Your Jersey's one of them. Uh. What I consider blue would be Jersey for sure. How can I keep Nevada? Nevada would be a big, huge one if he could pull that off. I think he needs to do more on social media, and I think he's doing it. I just think he needs to continue to do more. Trent's got on here. Theo vonn was right, and he needs to get back. In good graces with Joe Rogan. Yes, agreed. I didn't know that he was in bad grace with Joe Rogan. Yeah, but I agree if he's not in good game. I mean, Joe Rogan has a big outreach, massive and he's endorsed RFK. Has he really Yeah, I can see that because they're both kind of like. Yes, and so now if he goes over to Trump, it could set him up for that. I think it's very very good idea. And I said he needs to embrace RFK Junior and Tulsi Gabbert. Tulsi Gabbert's not as big as RFK. I don't think no, but she's very good at Democrat. Yes, because she was one. Yes, she was so high and she is said, I'm out here. She is Camella's kryptonite. I'm telling you, yeah, she destroyed her before she can do it again. But they he's got to get him out there speaking for him. Uh number seven. I think he needs. I think he needs to make energy policy a top priority. I don't think people understand what's happening to energy now. I don't, so please explain. All right, let me give you a real quick on energy. So when you use power at your home, you pay a power bill. That power bill is based on a kilowatt per hour, Okay. That price is dictated from a load demand not from your house, but from everybody's house and everything. So that AEP will have a territory and they purchase power, and they pay a fee based off of how much they need for the whole year, and they base that off of the year prior. Okay, So whatever the highest demand was the year previous, that's what you pay for the whole year the next year. So when you have some idiot out here and they're pushing electric cars, they can pay a price, but that's not they're not paying the load demand price. So even though you're not driving an electric car, you're paying for it because the load is going up. So the more electric cars that are on the streets, the energy costs continue to rise. As the energy cost rise, you're also attacking what produces energy, so that's just gonna make it worse. Their energy costs are going And by the way, you should if you can find an interview and google it, look up TikTok Michael Flynn. Do you remember him? I remember you talking about him. You should find him and you should watch his interview. All of this stuff is planned by the Democrat Party. This is how you take over government wise. You make energy costs so expensive that the government has to intercede to control it. Only the government can control those prices health only government can control those prices. And you hear them say it, We're gonna fix prescription drugs. Why don't we need the government fixing our prescription drugs. Why can't the market fix it? It's all done on purpose to take over. So we need to make energy our top priority, and he needs to. He made us energy independent, and our energy costs were low and he just needs to keep hammering it. Hey, you won't pay an electric bill like that? Under me needs to keep hammering it. And this is what happens when you bring in liberal policies. I think that could be one of the things that people just don't understand and that's why they don't care when they vote. I know. I mean I think that that if you're saying push it, I agree. After your synopsis, I agree. They just need to keep doing it. Campaign California, like just continue to say, hey, this is where she's from, it's her policies, this is what she believes in. Yeah, but does it just is it just a waste of time in the end? I don't know. Like I guess people I used to say that, well, you might be right because I used to say this about Joe Biden. You were forty two years and senator and now all of a sudden you want to fix America. What'd you do for forty two years? You said, if I become president, I'm going to fix this. What the hell you been doing for forty two years? I don't It's same thing with her. I mean, she's been in politics. What have you done yet? Name one policy? That's the thing. They can't name a policy. They say the economy is good, but they can't back it up. They say that their policies are good, but they can't give you a policy that works. Trump can, Yeah, and he should. He should stick to that. He should win Virginia. That's a big win. He should win it. But he's got to focus on it, and he's got to get I don't think people realize how popular Governor Yunkin is. Yeah. He I mean he's very popular. And we did it two years ago, governors two years and he's coming up for reelection this year. No, there's no reelection in Virginia. Okay, so yeah, you have to take it. Well I thought you could take a break and then come back. No, well yes you can't. Okay, Yeah, because McAuliffe was going to do that. Yeah, but he'll he'll run for Senate. And thank god, because we need a Republican senator. We need to break up the crap we have now with that center. And I somehow he's kind of campaigned with youngkin if youkin some did it. He got down into southwest Virginia. He's got everybody out. Yeah. Trump can do the same thing. Absolutely, he can win Virginia. We need to see more Millennia. It's just me. Yeah, that's your personal opinion there. Yeah, I like her story. Man, I don't know her story, right, but maybe that's why we need we need to hear more of her. Release potential candidates for cabinet positions. He did that the last time he ran, and it was very popular when he did it. It helped him tremendously, and I think he needs to do it now. Like, if you're going to have RFK, where's he going, Yeah, put it on exactly where he's going. Get more women selling the story against Kamela because right now, it's hard to attack on a woman, a female opponent. It's just hard. Yeah. Well, you can't say anything wrong. Right, I mean, and you there's a line there and you have to be careful. But you know what, half TULSI just beat her. For you. Yeah, I don't. I don't like that that whole thing where you know, now, in the in the military, it's a different standard, So we keep that different standard in politics, So why should it be a different standard. You have to go easy on her because she's a woman. I brought this up the last time I don't understand Dei. If it's a policy that the left agree with, then why is it insulting If I called you a Dei higher, Yeah, you should say hell yeah it works. Yeah, but you don't you go called her a DEI higher. Well, it's because it's stupid and he needs to stay on policy. That's what wins. He wins if he stays on policy. If he can get everybody to vote because his policies are better, They're not gonna He's not gonna win it because people like it, yes, and not gonna win it because he's super nice to everybody. Like there's this whole thing in twenty twenty if you want to believe that by there's this whole thing that they said, you know what, we think it was good, but there's just a lot of stuff that we don't have, we don't want to deal with. So we're gonna go Biden. Okay, now that you've lived under Biden, I think they're going this ain't good. I'd rather listen to those mean tweets. Yeah, I mean mean for me for my first years living out of the house. I moved out of the house when I was eighteen, so I was you know, three. Quarters on my own. Yeah, that I started to understand. I saw the difference. I think that was kind of a plus for me, was I saw the difference. Yeah, between a President Trump and a President Biden was to where now I'm fully on my own. Yeah, it's a huge, huge, huge difference. Sure, it is like you're running a business now, you see. I just like when you I almost want to have like a Democrat in here, so you could find out the reasoning of why you vote that way, like, for instance, for a small business. Like when you hear a Democrat say that billionaires millionaires don't pay taxes, you want to put your head down and go, dude, do you have any clue how much money? Like I've always said, the guy who works at the boatyard that makes the yacht. You think that man hates a billionaire, He's sent him a boat. That's his livelihood that you're saying he doesn't deserve. Michelle Obama last night her speech, she is standing up there saying how her mama didn't trust millionaires and billionaires who took what they didn't need, is what she said. So whatever, that is a prime example of a democrat. You are a millionaire that has fifteen houses that or have twenty rooms in or more. And you're lecturing millionaires and billionaires to take more than they need. What the hell do you need? What are they saying? What is she saying that they took that they didn't need. She's saying they're making more money than they really need. Okay, millionaires and billionaires, But she's the exact person that's doing it. Why can't we take a millionaire a billionaire and put them somewhere to be like, hey, do you want to be like this guy? You got to have a great work out there. That's exactly what I've always use that as, Hey, there's a not put them on a pedestal and worship him like god. But I'm saying put him there to say, you know, hey, Elon Musk, he slept in his office. Yeah, he worked twenty hours a day, slept four hours, woke back up, did this hot back on the Peter did the same thing. Why can't we praise that current a little bit with hard work mentality? Why can't we But now we're just saying, oh, if you're a millionaire, a billionaire, you're just taking eve you don't need correct and we need to split that. Yes, because we don't educate anymore. That's the problem. When I came through school, there was still a little bit of education that was being done that you understood supply and demand and inflation. Right now they don't even call it inflation like they're calling it that the companies are price goulenging and people believe it. I wish the finance classes would elaborate more on really what it takes. I just started learning stuff as I went that. My finance class didn't teach me. We did Shark tank, right, and finance class. It was a fun little thing. But I mean, you create a product and then make up a bunch of fake numbers and then try to present it. That's right. So public speaking at a young finance. Had a young fellow about your age ask me one time, what's the difference between Democrat and republic He said, if you had to explain the difference, which one is it? And I said, I if I set up a table and I said, a Republicans sitting at this table and the Democrats at this one, and you get in line, the Democrat table says here, we're going to pay you sixty thousand dollars a year. No matter what, you can either come to work or you cannot come to work. But this is what you're getting. That's it guaranteed. Or if you went to this table, you can get zero dollars, or you can be a billionaire and you control it. But in this line, you're just guarantee you're never going to make more than that the rest of your life. This is what you get. Which one do you want? And he's like that guaranteed money sounds pretty good. I was like, done it. It depends it's a lot twenty years from now. What if sixty thousand is only worth twenty. I think it's a lot to do with mentality. Sure, are you too scared to take the jump? Correct and say? But you know what? To me, that's the difference between the two parties. One is selling you of hey, we can take care of you at a controlled level comfortability, and the other one saying you're on your own. That's why it's a hard sale for Republicans because of just what you said. People are hard to. Kevin said, I think last time I was on contentment is your worst enemy. If you want to be great, content is your worst enemy. We used to have a sign in our football locker room. This was at Rossberg and I loved it. It was the greatest and it was first. Uh, being content is the first sign of failure. Satisfaction is first satisfaction. You don't want more, it's it is absolutely You're starting to creep down the road of yeah, I'm okay with this. Then you let off the rains, and then the rains hits you right in the face. Yeah, you find yourself at the bottom again and again and again. So anyway, I I don't know that I watch any more of the d n C. I've watched enough. I'd like to see when are they putting her in? Is that tomorrow when they officially tell her, hey, here are Yeah? Can I guess? So? I guess it's tomorrow. It was Thursday at the R and C. But it could be different. Yeah, it maybe, I don't know. I mean, I think that the networks have done a good job of shielding any negativity. They're not showing all the protesters. Have you ever understood what's the whole purpose of a protester? Right is to protest and get your you know, your grievance out there. I think it's to prove that you have freedom of speech. I think it's to prove your first time. But who are you speaking to? If somebody comes up with the microphone and you go, I don't want to talk to you, that's what That's what I see on TikTok when the Republicans go to there and they say, well, what are you picketing for? I don't want to talk to you. Now, what are you here for? Then? If you're not trying to get your word out. They well, they have the signs and all that good stuff. I think it's you're not gonna catch me out at a protest, no matter what it's about me neither. I just think it's kind of pointless. You're gonna sit aroun with a bunch of signs and stomp and yeah. I mean, I'll go to a parade. I'll go to up parade that seems fun, hand out some candy to kids and stuff like that. You know, just give me a thumbs up when the Carolina Kevin's anyway, Trent had some inflation clips. We'll get to. His first one was Camela knows what's wrong, just not the causes of what it is. Cut twenty everyday prices are too high. It feels so hard to just be able to get ahead. The bills add up, food, rent, gas, back to school, clothes, prescription, medication. The cost of food. A loaf of bread cost fifty percent more. Ground beef is up almost fifty percent. There's a serious housing shortage. The price of housing has gone up. It's too difficult to build and it's driving prices. It is out of reach. The size of down payments have up as well, because I was just still too high. There was not much left at the end. Of the month. Is she explaining everything that they've done. That's what I'm saying. You're giving you your and they, like I saw an economists say all these things were caused by Trump, but they can't tell you how. They blamed COVID. But that wasn't caused by Trump. It was caused by Anthony Fauci. That's what it is. If he's under trial, isn't he. I don't know. I thought I saw something. He's under trial for hoaxing a little bit I did. If you watch Flynn. Check that out, I swore I saw somewhere. Flynn said that COVID was started in two thousand and four and was a something that the Democrat Party had floated for years. It just it seemed like the flu. He was in the Secret Service. He should know. It's a scary interview. I'm trying to I'm efforting, trying to get him on the program. Trying on the program, trying to get some sponsors out here. Listen. I I would love to talk to him. I mean, I just listen. I don't think people understand he only worked in a Democrat administration and then Donald Trump came along and said, Hey, I think you need to be in my administration, and within two months they arrested him, put him in prison. He was a general scary man. All right, it's time for Carolina. Kevin like a loose are like gingers in the ice tray. Carolina can what up? Kevin? Trent had to cut out. We got Travis this week. What happened to Trent? Volleyball? Uh huh m hm. Yep. So it's things exciting. They are kind of down on the veilline. We've we've been great so far. Today, We've had to pack. We've actually I think cut some things out because we were so far behind. You know, Kevin didn't say hello to me. Kevin, YO, you're supposed to say, Hi, Travis is in the studio. We'll work on that. We work on that. Oh hello Travis, Oh my god, what I'm doing? Well? Kevin? How are you? Oh? Just keeping it between the ditches? Final than a frog air splitting four and sanded down. Uh, your son was in the studio earlier. James doing flying yep. I don't know what he was in here for, just hanging out. I guess I thought I was under arrest controlling the streets. Shuit it was gonna come pick you up. Well, where am I going? I got nowhere to be today? Hello? Were you at Kevin? I need a little bit more off. You have a little bit more on down in the ditches. Yeah, you gotta bring something to the program today. I'm bringing whatever you want, high level, high energy. Well higher energy. Yeah, come on, get with the program here. I mean, if if you wanted to do like packaging, I mean you buy some packaging cookies. It's the fun size or the family size or the party size. I mean, what kind of size do you want? I like double stuffed. Let's go with some double stuff Kevin? How about that? What does that mean? Anyway? Like? If you buy some cookies and it's just fun size. Like to me, a fun size pack of cookies would be like a family or party size because fun is not left, it's it's marketing. Man. Fun makes it sound like they're better cookies. Right, let's just say babies, mom, Yeah, baby size. Price gouging cookies. How about that price price gauging, price gauging cookies. How's everything in South Carolina? Doing lovely? Doing lovely? Nice weather, seventy eight degrees. It's supposed to get hot next week, though, isn't it. Yeah, but that's what you expect in August. Yeah, but we won't be in well, we're still will be in August next week. It's the twenty first, right now, Okay. Yeah, yeah, we'll still be in August. Well, we've got some hurricanes. Got some hurricanes out there, I see, I think. A few of them. I sent some of my boys back home, very Dustin and Dylan. The house that we rented in Road, dance house out went out into the ocean, and the house we actually stayed in, Like, I've got pictures of us fishing off of the deck into the ocean. I saw that, you know what I never understood, Like they've done all this stuff at the outer banks Kitty Hawk and Killdevil Hills in that whole area where they've you know, sort of uh, I guess built the sea wall type thing with the sand. But yeah, when you get past Jeannette Pierre, I guess it is, and you head down to how do you say it roa dance. Road? Dance? Yep, there's nothing. I mean, we won't be long for there won't be a road there. Well, they've already switched as the thing they so they took Route twelve. They built where Hurricane Hugo came through and blew out from where the ocean and the sound was. It kind of blew a section of land out and permanent now to where there's water flowing from the ocean to the sound. Right, So they took it and made a bridge and swung it way out into the bay and coming back into Rodin. So instead of that road throughout twelve going that close to the beach where it kept over washing and they had to take the front end loaders and baccos and clearing it, they bypassed all of that. But where they bypassed it, those houses that was in that stretch of Seagull Lane they have done washed, they've moved several of them, and they've put like all types of stuff out there, structural wives to try to keep the ocean from claiming some of the houses. But when you have a hurricane, it's that close ye out in the ocean, it's it's gonna bring some pretty good waves. But days we checked in the day we checked into that house, the next day the lady calls, she said, Hey, if y'all parked, you know underneath. The house there, you might want to move it around because they had a section you could go down and park behind a sand dune. There's gonna be an ova wash and Brian that night, like two o'clock in the morning on Hire and Dustin's knocking on my door and I'm like, what's going on? Man? He's sick? Do you fell the house? Water was under there would rush under and then go back out. You could feel the house move and swaying back and forth. I don't want to put to. That, but it did a number on those three houses. The little one is where we stayed in and it but it took that one house. They condemn that house and they get to build a new one, or they just s o l. I have no idea. I don't know what I know. They moved a bunch of them, and they were in the process of moving them. But eventually, you know that's gonna happen. Yeah, and don't you will live at the ocean. Kevin. I'm yawning right now. I'm about to go to sleep. You gotta pep it up, Kevin. Couple, Kevin, You're gonna put me to sleep. Let's get some energy in here. I'm about to just get in the car and drive up at a bit, but you'll get. Some good I put a fire, I crack you up, you asked, Oh Lord, well, you got your trips playing coming up soon? What's what's on the agenda? We just got the regular fishing trip coming up at the end of October. This is at Nag's Head, you and Dustin and the same old. Twenty seven years this year. You don't ever get tired of fishing? Uh? Negative ghost patterns? Do you? Fish trappings? I do pond fishing mainly. My dad's a big fisherman out there out of bank, so. I used to. But man, it just doesn't interest me like it used to. It's just too much work. You charter a yeah, but that's what By the time you get out there, it's five hours on the you know, drive out. And the last time I charted something, we were in Florida and we went the week before they were killing it. And then I don't know if it's a hurricane or just regular storm. I think it was a hurricane came through and hit Naples, Florida. I got skunked. We're fishing snuk and I got skunked and my step dad called a thirty four inch snuck. That was the only fish of the day. So when you pond fish, do you bobber or no? No, I mean, well, I mean if we're camping or something like that. See, if we're camping, get like a perch jerker pole, put a little bob er, put a little worm or a piece of bread, and you you'll catch the hell out some bluegill. But I mean I'll put a Texas rig or wacky rig on it. Wapper popper, yeah, a little wipper plopper, or get a frog. If it's a nice, nice day outside of some millie pads something. Like that, Kevin, you can go jug fishing. Put the catfishing. Put the jugs out there. Put a piece of meat on it. Mm hmmm mm hmm. Run a trot line. We used to. Kevin and I used to go down the James right down below our house, which was not too far from being w but we would catch remember we would catch carp right m massive and just throw them back in. They're nasty. But you could take oatmeal and ball it. Up and put it on a hook and it wouldn't know, it would harden, it would harden. It wouldn't. You'd have to take the dry old meal, put it in your bom of your hands, stick your hand down in the water and just bring it up and kind of keep making all on the hook. They would It was massive. Buddy's fishermen A. Lot of people they you know, recreational fish. But like I fish and clean them and eat them. I eat a lot of my fish. I just ate some two nights ago that I talk out of a local pond here on Sunday. So I mean I eat a lot of the fish that I that I catch. How do you cook your bass three different ways? Just too regular? I don't eat that. You just got them at it dried up and then you can put it in your air fryer with some old Bay seasons and onion powder. Or you can batter it up and fry, or you can cook it on the grill, or you can make fish tacos. I'm not a fan of you like fish tacos. I'm not a fan of fish, to be honest with you. I do like swordfish. I just think it's like a steak. Yeah, I mean I like tuna. I've never had swordfish before, like tuna, fried catfish, just like I. Can eat telapia tepea. What it was the fish that you don't like me? Or Travis? Travis Trout not a big trout guy. Not a big trout guy. What about odd? I don't mind cod. It's flaky, and you know, I don't need a ton of fish. I'm more of a let's see a cow type of guy. I like blackened, Yeah, black and yeah, if they see it right, he's got the right season on. Yeah, it's it's top tier. But if I go to a super nice restaurant, I'm getting a steak, I'm not getting fish. Correct. I had lobster when I was down at Louisiana. I do. I don't mind crawfish, Yes, fried crawlfish. Oh you like, but not the hole? I mean, why would you tell it's only a little piece of meat like that. Big Oh you've never been before? You suck the head, they of the whole. I don't that is a no logan is a huge just a bag off the side of the road. Yeah, just yeah, I do love a little little craw fish. Shrimp love shrimp. Yeah. Can I just bought two PAMs of crawl fish the other day. Yeah. It's funny because it's not seasoned in Louisiana, so you can't even get it. I mean you can't. There are no places to go get it. Yeah, I don't think. I don't know when the seeds starts, but you can find out from stale cracker. Yeah, you're gonna learn you something. Do we have anything like like a crawlfish? I mean you get like a mud bug. I don't think. I mean that's a crawl fish, but it's not saying Yeah, I mean I would I guess crabs, right, I mean you get. Awards after this? Go on the right? Don't they have a crawl fish bowl? They do, and it is good, but uh not. I mean I consider crawlfish. Like they do have a truck that runs around Madison Heights. There's a lot of times at that quickie out there at Madison Hights and they'll sell fresh fish that they got in that morning. And I think I got catfish from one time, and it's pretty I mean it's pretty good. That's probably. Have y'all ever y'all, I know both of y'all have been to the Silver Pig and Madison Heights. Uh. Yeah, yeah, I've been a few times. It's still the same. It's got the little yes, mum hmm. It's on the right hand side. Does Lynchburg still have the uh. Texas in the Texasan? Yeah. The harbor In is also here as well, if that's what you're talking about. We do still have the harbor In. That's off Old Forest Road, isn't ye. Yeah, And uh, the Crown is making a comeback as the Crown Embers. Is that what they're calling it. I never went to the Crown before. Back in the day. It was good. It's a tough place right there on the corner. Right there, it kind of meets a fort Ave that. Used to be hopping because across the street was the Western Sezeland and then up the street was the Landmark. Do you remember the Landmark Steakhouse? All of that was right there right now. I think it's called B something B something. It's like right across the road. Yeah it was. I thought it was like Trace La Chase is what it was? Something? But I've never seen a car in the parking lot. Yeah. Now it's uh. It used to be a Landmark Steakhouse, which was a real high instance house. And then you had the Western Citislan, and then you had Crown Sterling. All that was right there, and then where court Side is behind that Courtside, was that oh that little private gym or now it must be Oh it's not courtzicod that's probably Are you talking about kinetics? Is that what it's called now? Is it up in the plaza with's bowling Alley? No? Okay, so no, directly behind Crown, it used to be a thing called court Side. It was like a private health club. I guess now I think it's like maybe like a rehab center. Maybe I just thought about that. Yeah, I think they've got a state farm across the street from Courtside went out probably twenty five years ago. It used to have indoor racketball and tennis courts and all that was right there. Really. Yeah, that's what I was trying to think. Wasn't it Spanky's restaurant. That's it. You could crawl up that rope and ring your bell. Yeah, yeah, it was. That whole area was full of I mean where the bowling alley was. That place was hot. I mean that was the We still. Go to that bowling alley. Yeah, we get a group of friends and. Go beside that used to be a bar called Rumors. I've never heard of these. I've heard of Trotter's and a couple other ones, like what was in the on Forest Road, the lo Coretta? What was in there? Or was that Trotter's that's daffer. Dans diver dans, ye know. And then was Trotter's the one that burned down? No, the Gatsby's Gatsby's burning millennium. Yeah, gas millennium. But Brian worked im and Trent worked at that placed there on old Ford Road near w s Et. But didn't y'all see the fire that burnt that one bar down on that side road. No, that was gas that place. No, it was kind of where the waterfall and stuff is. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh god, what was the name of that place? He's talking Bedford Avenue. Okay, it was more of a heavier metal type bar. It was a little rough. Where was yet the Dallu is still the Dahia. It's right there off Downtown Avenue, the river Mont area. That's that have changed still. There is that? The one in the basement where you walk down the side. Had the upper lower after two o'clock. A little strange. Yeah, they got a speakeasy coming now what Yeah, a speakeasy, which I say that, and why would it be as speakeasy if I know about it? But they have it advertised. And I've been to a couple of real speakeasies in Charlotte. You don't hear about them. They're like behind a grocery store. This one's on the main strip, right below the number seven bar, and they have signs pointing down to it. I didn't know you had a number seven bar. You don't have any nightlife, do you. Well, you're out here in Bedford, that's in Lynch have clam diggers. Yeah, you don't want to. Mess with it. Number seven is like the nice bar really, And then they got the skyline bar that's above the Virginia Hotel. That one's nice. We had Cleaners, which is that's where Robin Alexander is now. That used to be the Cleaners restaurant, and then the Ale House, which is empty now. I don't think it has anything. It's right there where Berglan Chevrolet used to be. Yeah, you remember what a glass house used to be. It's still there. It's straight across the street from. The Yeah, they remodeled it and they opened it back up and it's a totally different theme now. It's like a wine and cheese type deal. Yeah, we had some happening places back in the day, but we always used to complain. Where Locarettas is at in Forest now that used to be a bar. That's what we just talked about, which one Dapper Dance. Oh well it wasn't called Dapper Dance, okay, so all right, So it was even misunderstood where and I did too. Where you're talking about twenty one, where Lorettas is that was. Called the World Was it called the World. Bar, Kevin? The World Cafe, World Cafe, World Cafe. That sounds familiar, yes, because you don't understand Travis. When that was out there it was like, God, I don't want to drive all the way out there. There was nothing out there. Yeah, now they got cheap. We used to make fun of forest when I was in school because you literally were driving to the forest. Everything was cow pastor really yeah, uh two twenty one was a one link roade. I remember, well, I don't remember. That tenses on both sides of cow pastors. And when you were like, like you we're talking about the stadium, do you We used to nickname that stadium the armpit, Jauz. It stays damp. Yeah, even with it's still cold and damp in the bottom. Huh. And it's like we used to get, oh god, we're going to the armpit this weekend to play football. It's like Forrest was out in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, it was nowhere near anything. It never made sense to us. Now it's the area to be at. Maybe how they got to twenty one Tap the table. That place is awesome, is it. It's got great food, a good bar. It's not like a bar scene that closes to like ten or eleven. But yeah, Bralbergers, which is I think has gone a little bit downhill. You know what one of the longest running restaurants in the vicinity of Lynchburg is what. Hang on, Kevin. Let's let us think about this first. It's a good trivia question. I just probably closed down. The harbor in Yeah, I mean it's been around forever an. N L s h. I don't. I have no idea what you's talking about. London Steak Gap. I still go they are supposedly kind of closing down. No, that's what I That's what I heard, and that could be fiction, but I hope not. The family tried to ear's for sale, so the family tried to give it to the kids, and the kids didn't want so. I mean, I love they going to New London steakhoup Perkies a little bit far out there for me, but I've been before. Love their food. I got a steak there one time in New York, stripping them. It wasn't too hot, you know, really, Yeah, I mean I've only I have been there once. That guy very passionate about his work, guy that owns it, he's the cook. I'm gonna have to give it another try. You should, because man, he is Trent and I used to sit you can sit like right at the bar area and just that dude is and he'll talk to you. They've got oysters, don't they, And he. Is just so passionate about his work. Yeah, I'm all have to try to get that was probably six years ago. I was pa I have had a bad steak there before, but we chalked it up to just being late, because if you get there after nine, forget about it. Yeah, I can't get in. Well, no, it's just what it's like, the drops off, like they got to cook so fast. Below me. Yep, the train existence train station restaurant. I would say, I like that one. I like that one. Probably I would say at least twenty five years minimum, probably thirty. And let me ask you a question. This a little bit off topic, but the train station brought it up for me as a D Day memorial. Yes, do you ever go to the flames of memory? Yeah, you go to the flames of memory. So we go to the flames of memory every year that I've been with my girlfriend, so the past three or four years, and we'll go to the train station right before okay, and it's like a little and then we go to the Elks home. Yeah afterwards, you know, so it's like a it's like the first week of December when they do it. Dude, I've always like, you know, my business partner, Scott, he's way more advanced in development than I'll ever even think about or want. But he's all, hey, let's buy all this and let's you know, put target and all this. You know, he just constantly and I've told him from day one, if I ever had that kind of money to do that type of development, I would do it. I just the Elks Home to me, if you got if you built a smaller retirement place to put the people that are there now, redo the Elks Home as a destination like Green Greenbriar. Yeah, it's beautiful. It's so rundown now it's almost but Greenbrier was run down too. Yeah, it is so gorgeous when it was in its heyday. And it's just a shame that they've allowed it to just go to crap. It sucks. But give me to. See you the most long running chain restaurant in Lynchburg. I thought we just went through this, but Baker on Chains Shake Bakers nineteen eighty six. You gotta go a little bit back from that. McDonald's Brian. Brian had a hand isn't. It was Red Lobster older. Than that lock Coretta, my friend. Yeah, when did that come in? Lo Coretta started? The first one was on timber Yeah. I did forget about that one. It was They went from Madison Heights to the one that Forrest remember was locked the redle Yes. It still is. Is that the same building they've been in for Yeah, but it started on Timberlake. Rude, He's right. This was probably early eighties, maybe eighty maybe, Dude. They played volleyball on. The same corner. Yeah. Yeah, it was like an octagon building right on Timberlake. Crude. I know what you're talking about. I know the area. But as it torn down now or yes, yeah, so they I remember when it was there. I was still I was live when it was there. And then they switched it. They made the nice one, yes, next to Loew's. Yeah, we did the one that loves. The nice one, making me hungry. I like that. You said it's nice. Did you do it? Oh? Yeah, the custom structure, so yes, that was everything in that is handmade from Mexico. Is it really all right? He flew to Mexico. They made the stuff in the town. They shipped all that stuff here. I love that locatta because we'll go after our slow pitch games, we'll go to a locroretta. And we went to Timberlake. It's awesome. Forest is where most people live. So then we started going to forest and the forest one just doesn't quite cut it. Yeah, now you mentioned slow pitch. Oh yeah, so Kevin and I used to be involved in slow pitch years ago. Which league did you plan? I mean Lynchburg. I guess it would Peaks for you. Yeah, Peaks you that's the one we plan. All right. Yeah, I played for a Yellow fub. But do you remember when we first started, Kevin? Do you remember our first team? Dude? We had so much fun, Travis, We have a the last every single make the same mistakes we made. I've my hand playing slow pitch softball. Every time we would get rid of one person, bring a new person, then get rid of one person. Before you know it, it got so serious, Yes that It's like it wasn't worth. I hated it after that. When we first started, it was so much fun. I mean, it was a blast era we laughed. But now I mean when we got I mean we even do you remember when we got to the point where we were Hooters sponsored us or something, and we went to some big tournament and it was like, man, screw this, make an era and people don't talk to you the whole weekend. It's like, screw that. Now we try to say as light as possible. We got a couple of guys that played some tournament ball on the weekends, but they got a Tuesday night league and a Thursday night league. Thursday Night League is like there's only ever four teams in it. You play the same four teams all year long, and it's the good Like the people who are prepping for their weekend tournament. Yes, and Tuesday is like, all right, everybody's out here to have fun. Let's see who wins. Yeah, and some people are horrible, no, I know. And so we had a couple of those art dust that would do a cartwheel the first base if you got a hit. Yeah, some people are just but I mean, that's the fun of it. You bring your buddies that never picked up a bat in their life. A lot of us are former baseball players, and most of them are actually former Division I baseball players, so it comes a little lot easier to them than somebody who maybe played football and they're just one of our buddies. But yeah, I mean they go out there, they have fun. We all have fun. If you make an air, you you chat a little bit. Sure, you chirp at them a little bit, but it's never anything serious. Now, did you know there's a gentleman here in Bedford who is in the is it us is U TRIPLESA, which is the big softball ASA ASA. Well they have USA ASA all right. Well he is in the Hall of Fame really and he coached I think three national championship teams. Wow, and he's here in Bedford. Jimmy Cutsyall used to own the garage down the street. Great man to talk to, just do that. Dude could tell you stories of shootings and just everything. And I'm talking big time softball. Yeah. They I've heard a couple of people in Bedford that are in the Hall of Fame. Who's the other one, Andy Dooley, gotcha, Yeah, I had. I used to work with a guy, Steve de Jarrett. He's awesome. He's the umpire in chief Virginia in us A softball and he has they played and he now umpires. But he told me some serious stories where people will pull guns on the parking lot, like give me my tournament money. Yeah, go crazy, Yeah, huge fights that break out. Yeah. We used to have fun. We we had a blast. We had a great team, just fun. Keith Mayhew was in center field. You remember that, Kevin. Keith was. He played at Farm and he was It was a great Faram baseball team. This was back when. If I'm I'm not mistaken, I think that was the team with Billy Wagner who went on to the pros. And they were loaded a softball team, no baseball, it was they were loaded loaded. Pharaoh was serious back then. It was a junior college, I thinks back then, back then, yes, yes, but they had they had Point Dexter, John Pointdexter was there baseball. All that group came through at the same time and they were phenomenal. But we had a guy named Keith Mayhew who could sling a baseball as far as anybody have ever seen. My God, he had an arm. I think he died. Didn't he die like unexpectedly or something? Yep, he's actually in the Bhareham Hall of Fame. He got inducted three years. A phenomenal arm, like one of those you would want to see it, Like as soon as the ball was hitting, somebody was going to tag Like that, you get get testament. We got a guy like that. Nobody has to can But. He actually pitched. He got into the Hall of Fame by pitching for Pharam. I think he won twenty three or twenty four games and lost one. Yeah, he was I believe he was good. He was really good. But we never had that home run hitter. Yeah, the big guy. You know, we never had that. Everyone on my team is a home run hitter. That was our problem for the first three years. Well, couldn't you have four home runs? That's it, that's it, and we would hit six. Don't think move that defences back. I don't know, they're like two seventy five. Yeah, so you don't have to I backspot them right out. It's like being at South Hill. Yeah, you're a little y'all are doing. How many runs y'all hit at that tournament? It was crazy. I mean, even Logan it, he's probably listening. He had two I think in that tournament. I think it's the only place he ever hit home runs. I think he may have had one more somewhere else. Yeah, that's slow. Pitch Man. That'll do you ever think back about how fun and great it was on that team. Which one the Outlaws. The Outlaws, Yeah, that was awesome. There was a good there's a good atmosphere with it. The parents were cool, and we played with the Virginia Red Sox and there was a couple of parents that would get I mean, obviously as a kid, you don't know, but yeah, I went. Now that you're grown up and you hear your parents tell you a story, Oh yeah, I remember when so and so did this. I got a couple of names. In my head. Yes I won't share them, but you know. And then that Outlaws team it wasn't it wasn't together for but three years or something maybe, yeah, three years or so. But I mean it was a blast. We had cool jerseys. Yeah, we would play it, you know, Morgantown, West Virginia. Yeah, that was my first home run in Morgantown. Yeah, only because we got back at like four o'clock in the morning. We got back so late, and I mean it was just a that was a blast and we won. We won a lot with that. Because do you remember so miss Virginia Red Sox. Yes, the Diamond Jacks, Yes, and the West Virginia Heat, Yes, that that was that team. It just combined. Yeah, it was so much fun. I remember we played up one weekend. Tournament in Tennessee, Bristol, Tennessee. I'm talking about the one that was at the Kowanas Field or something, and I remember Chris coach Fisher saying to y'all, all right, you're not hitting it out of this field, so don't try. Yeah, and Garrett in center field. It's like, whoa. We had some dudes on that time. Oh yeah, I mean like and we had a couple d one athletes too. Yeah, but I can't remember third base and what was his name? So we had Plunket who played yes, and Jacob Knight played Jacob Knight's and they would jam yeah yeah. And then Noel's size more. Yeah he was. Jacob had that natural. Yeah, and he was a lot bigger, just like Garrett. They were a lot bigger than the kids our age. So that we would play on those two hundred and fifty foot fences. A drop five bat, that joker was going. I remember playing on those small fields. I had done how a chance? Yeah, Spartansburg, South Carolina, I still we still talk about it to this day of when we went camping when Carter Plunkett hit the walk off. That was amazing and when we all talked about it on there, I was sitting there reliving that moment. Was just thinking of it. You know. We still talk to Garrett's parents really, Oh yeah, we could. He's in my phone. He's damn right, Tony is that dude was right? He was. I mean that the atmosphere of the parents was was way better. There wasn't a lot of animosity out there, and there's a bunch of kids being. Kids, yep, and I was, yeah, we were so happy to be a part of that. Kevin, we didn't have chances to do that when we were young. Do you remember, Kevin played with a legend with a legend. Who's the legend, Danny Davis. To this day, he's still a legend. There's if you ask anybody when it comes to football, he's the greatest athlete that ever played. Is that the Rossburg running back and he was massive. Kevin got to play with him in baseball, Yeah, and he got drafted and he left. Yeah, he took the deal and he went to the Cardinals right Florida Marlin. Nos probablyn't a thing back then. No, it wasn't killing. He went to Florida for spring training and he got then the Cardinals, Cardinals. And he he didn't make it a week, like he wanted to come home. Really, and I think he's still I think he still works at the same place. I think he works at stackpole putting light poles. Charlie Mo, Danny Davis, and Charlotte Davis and their diddy cut folk woods for a living. How many people do. You think saying I remember that guy too. I mentioned it to coach Watts when I was coaching with him, and he said, I don't think you understand how many people he hurt, Like there were legitimate injuries from just trying to tackle him bigger, faster. Yeah, just to do just like you take the weight training that we do now with athletes. That none of that was happening then, But he was an athlete of today playing back then, he was way better. It's because his daddy worked in the pope wood business, and Charlie and Danny both lifted pope woods and they were five years old and their thighs was big as tree trunks, and they really they got their build from working in the woods, not from lifted weights. No, I know, they were just cockstrong, as we always called armstrong big dudes, but they were. We had You probably don't remember him, but Tech's offensive coordinator when Michael Vick was there. His name was Ricky Bussel. He recruited Danny and he said to this day, he's still the best athlete ever recruited, and it just was a shame he never he chose baseball and he chose to go. He reminded me of porn Dexter and me and Brian was at Virginia Virginia Tech football game with porn Dexter broke his leg. That was at Auburn. Yeah, yeah, Virginia. Tech in Virginia was the last game of the seasons. Look it up. Maybe I don't know. I'll tell you a quick story about a buddy of ours. Me and User, Me, Me and me and Kevin. We had a buddy named Mike Mayberry. He's a police officer still live with Campbell County. He's head of school Resource Officers for Cambell County, but at the time he was Lynchburg City. New cop came in right and he introduced me to him. We became pretty good buddies. And his name was Kenny Crawford. And I don't know if you know him, because I think his kid maybe went to LCA, or he maybe went to Heritage. I don't I can't remember. But Kenny Crawford was a Heritage graduate that had been recruited to go to Virginia. He his cousin was a guy by named Ronald Curry who was the number one quarterback in the nation, and everybody was recruiting him, and him and Kenny were going to go together to UVA. They both committed. Cray changed his mind at the last second and went to unc Crawford was hated. At UVA because his cousin, Yeah. Because he's cousin, you know. And he ended up playing in the NFL for the Raiders. He was phenomenal quarterback. But Crawford ended up going to UVA. So he's telling me this story and he invites me to a football game and I'm like, yeah, well, I had no idea I was going up there with all of their cousins and I'm hanging out with all of these legends that have played high school and college and pro and there's literally a Oakland Raider sitting beside on one side, and they're feeding me these drinks that I don't. And I'm not so let's get that guy. I'm not doing well. And I just look over to the guy and I'm like, all right, who are we rooting for? Here? I knew we were rooting for UVA because they're all great, and but they're all yelling for their cousin that's on the field. And the guy goes Muffin. I said who, and he said Muffin Crawford. And I'm like, I don't even know who would root for a guy named Muffin. And then all of them turn around. I was like, oh, I've had a little bit too much to drink. I just remember that Muffin. And if you go back and look, he was a big time cornerback. His name was Muffin. Yeah, huh. I can't root for a guy named Muffin. I know. You can't scream let's go Muffin. You could with that crowd because I was too scared not to. After that, they all looked at me and I was like, oh, I think it was Muffin. Muffin Crawford. Yeah, I ready to get that name right, and someone's gonna come get. You, you know, I hope. I mean, I haven't seen Kenny in years. I think he's done in bn W. Now they all leave to go bn W and take the money. So anyway, all right, Kevin, we're way past time. I was yawning. Well, I was yawning at Kevin because he was low energy today. He was low energy today. You got to bring it next week, Kevin. You guys were just well, this is what. Wet her. Go ahead and chime in. All right, we'll catch up with you next week. You'll let you know I didn't get my two cents in at all. What's your word of the day, mm hmm. Paradise paradise. Yep. Me and Brown was growing up. He always wanted his first vehicle to carry on the rear view mirror. Paradise sometimes does make you think, yeah, especially they that one. I was listening to it, Tony, and then Trent started laughing. Once Trent started laughing, I hit it hit me. It took me a. Second too, What the hell's Tony? All right? Well, next week, the big week, Aaron Stam. You got to do a lot of prep work because Aaron. Oh, Aaron's very good. I'm going to start an argument about Caleb Williams with Aaron. Well, well, oh you're Caleb Williams fan. No, I hate him me too. He's a cancer. Yeah, but Aaron loves him. I can't tell him otherwise. All Right, Well we're gonna talk about that. But the thing we have to do is we have to keep him on point, on point. So I mean, because we talk acc big ten, you can't intermingle. You gotta keep you got So, did you have a good amount of time allotted for that? Oh? I will have the whole show next week. We'll take out we'll take out the college football. Trent's gonna be so. Mad, I know, because that's probably what he wants. Oh, absolutely, and I know it. And now that I know he's not going to be here, next week is dedicated just for college football preview, the whole two hours. I think that that's going to be the best thing you could do for college football. Oh, it's going to be the show of the century, of the week because it's wait an So this is the last weekend without college football. Correct, No, there is a game this weekend. There's a game this weekend. Yeah, you got Florida State and Georgia. That's right in Dublin. But it's in Dublin. Yeah, well that's college football. Yeah. And then once it comes back around, see is talking about FanDuel. I do FanDuel on college football. That's like the only thing that I'll do it on because that's the I'll get the parlay going. I'll get it like a ten game parlay going, and pick the cupcakes. I pick the cupcakes, Okay, and you'll make you know, twenty bucks, you can. Yeah, yeah, all right, Well I'm looking forward to it. The thing I love most about college football, and it's the thing I hated most about Alabama is that college football was so unpredictable. Yes, and yet Alabama was so predictable. That's what I hated about him. Every year, and that they were going to be the best. Yeah, well you were gonna they were to be in the top five. Nick Sabansen's' apologies. Now, I know, I'm just saying that is what I loved about college football, because you would have top five preseason poll. Undoubtedly somebody was going to be in there that didn't even belong in the top twenty five. Notre Dame Texas, well, Texas and Oklahoma a lot of times. Yeah, And so it's just it was so fun. Because you like a team that comes out of nowhere, like TCU a couple of years ago. They weren't good team and trus like they were awful. No, they weren't awful. They were a good team. But I remember y'all talking about this. They were not who whoever said they were said they were as y'all you were saying like that. They that someone talked to you and said that if TCU got the bid into the playoff, they would have won, and that's false. Well, they didn't do a bad job when they did get in. No, they somehow beat Michigan and then guess who they ran into in a national championship game and guess what that score was? Do you want me to tell you? Yeah, but that happened to other people like Georgia. Has Georgia ever gotten stomped that bad? I think so in the national championship game in the playoff? No, there's only been There has only been nine teams that have won that college football Playoff. They were probably all SEC I mean Clemson and Michigan. I'll say that one for next week. I'll bring my list for next week on that one. But there's there's no shot that TCU should have been the year that you were talking about even recognized. Did you like Nick Saban saying he wished he had stayed at LSU He said that, I mean he said he regrets leaving. I mean it would have been the same thing. He would have had a powerhouse. Oh yeah, I mean everybody who went to Bamba would come down to LSA. Sure, there's no doubt. I mean, I'd still be an Alabama fan. Yeah, it's it's gonna be interesting post. Yeah. I love the coach, the new one. Yeah, so I'm gonna hammer Aaron a little bit on that one, just because I want to know what he thinks. I don't as an Alabama fan. I don't know if it's a national championship year, but the talent that they have in there and the atmosphere that they have going right now shows like that's that's what a national championship team is. Yeah, so I don't know if it's a national championship year or he could come out running, but we're gonna know real quick because they played Georgia week three, so we're gonna know real. Quick, where do you have to be? College alarm went off at like five this morning and I didn't even know it went off. I've been there all right. Well, it was a good week. We will see all next week for a college football preview special. Trying to get our two boys ready to carry the golf tournament before practice, right, twelve cats live across the road. Our door's open, screens broke. We need to get a new screen door. But the screens broke, so you can come in through the screen, but you can't get back out of I turned to look, there's a little kitty cat in our. Kitchen, so I said, what are you doing in here? A little kitty cat. By that time the cat turns, tries to get back out, that scream won't go that way. Cats starts going all crazy. And I told our players we need more dogs. Bowts bargain in the back after go shut bow up. Mels Like, what's going on? I said, the cat and house cat in the house? I said, it is a cat in the house, So I told our players. I tried to let it out the front door. The cat's still going crazy in there. And I told our players, you needy bit more like a dog. We don't need a bunch of cats in here. Looking in the mirror, I look good. I got my extra bands on, I got my other's shoes. Be a doll. We don't need no mewns. We don't need no cats. We need more dogs.
