Like you, you were the first person that really made me see that Hollywood purposely does things like I think you told me one time about how they make Christians look like they always make them look like these you know, just back roads. Yeah, all right, So the episodes that I'm watching now, I think I'm on season three. They have the Attorney General of the United States is from Texas, Okay, and whenever he talks, that's heard him there in a post from down on it. I mean, shut up, Yeah, I mean, do we honestly think the Attorney General of the United States would sound like that? And of course they make him hey all crooked, you know, of course. So it's just that part you have to just understand. And of course they have a non binary person a girl. Yeah. I love it when you read her bio because I was curious, Oh damn, is she a girl? Little boy? And then you read it and it it says she was assigned female at birth. Okay, so she's a female. She wasn't assigned. She was a damn female and she still is. If we have my segment, Chrissy Clark has one of those types stories today I got you okay tease Now, just in case you didn't know, I read this last night. NASCAR has teamed up with Netflix. Oh man, that would be cool. They are documenting just the playoffs now. They're doing a couple of races before just kind of lead into making the playoffs. Yeah, which is going to be good because we're down to the last race and there's still positions that could get I think there's only one left. I mean, honestly, it could be more entertaining than Formula one if they go behind the scenes with the will race talk they're supposed to. Yeah, it's what this is supposed to be, because the one thing I say about Formula one is they never talk bad about another person. Correct you know that? I mean, like probably the biggest controversy memory when they were on the roundtable and Christian Horner and Tido got into it. Yeah. Other than that, there's really not a lot of downplaying. Now in NASCAR. You get somebody mad at somebody else, like like Dylan this weekend to Kyle Larson exactly. That would be good drama. Yeah, oh I can't wait. Yeah, so that is coming up next season if they are documenting it now. And what do you got there, mister Warner. So I watched this show and I started on Netflix, Marty and I started. It was Painkillers on Netflix. And it's got the guy from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, the Matthew Broder. Matthew Broder, he's the main guy. I've never even heard of this. I just thought, you know, I think Netflix does the best teaser trailers, correct, you know when you just hover over it. Yeah, Okay, that hooked to me. I was like, oh, that's got to be good. Yes, So I watch it. And then so friends of ours, I don't want to say who they are, but what one of them does for a living is is a physician. He I mean what sales pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical sales. Yeah. So Painkillers is a story about the problem in Appalachia, Virginia of oxyconton, and dude, it is so close to my family because up in Highland County, when you have the whole crowd and how it changed changed a whole generation of people. Right, So that's what this show is about. And so, dude, I was hooked and get this. Do you know where the people came from that helped take down Oxycon Rolling Oak, Virginia? So a lot of the scenes and painkillers is from Rolling Oak. And I had no idea. That's crazy. I didn't know any of this. So I'm hooked. So I watch it and then so I'm having drinks with our friends to do that, and I was like, man, I don't know how to approach this subject because I noticed what you do for a living. But they try to make it sound like y'all are part of the problem pushing drugs. And he goes, oh, man, if you think that movie was good, he says, you've got to watch Dope Sick on Hulu. So you're going to start that or you've already started. I got hooked and finished it. I watched them both, and they're the same story, and I would say Dope Sick was better. And I think the advice that I got to watch that when I was glad. I did you know you remember Michael Keaton, Yes, Batman there, Yeah, he is so good in this Dope Sick. Yeah. Man, he's a doctor in good old Appalachia, small town, USA, West Virginia. This is the exact same story. They're both the exact same story, just told from two different not even advantage point, just the same story, just told better. And what's the swamp? Oh? God, Man Perry told me about this last night, and you will love this The Swamp. This is all on Netflix. This one dope sick is Hulu. But the Swamp is the story about the Florida Gators and Urban Meyer taking over Florida. Oh wow. And so it's gone through the first two seasons. The first season they go through. The first show is the first season Urban Meyer showed up without Tebow and the recruiting of Tim Tebow. The second episode, Tim Tebow gets there and I never knew that Tim Tebow had never spent a day in public school. He had been homeschool He had been homeschooled his whole life. And to walk in the locker room of the Gators and who those guys were? Oh yeah. And the first people that he got sucked up to were the linebackers on defense, because he felt like he was one of those guys but in a quarterback position. Oh, it was so good. And Urvin Meyer is so good in this. I felt really bad about what happened to him at Jacksonville. You know, you got he tainted his whole perception. Yeah, so it wasn't Cam Newton on that team. Cam Newton was an Auburn. No, no, Cam Newton was Oh oh that's right. He transferred, didn't he. Yeah, yeah, I don't know when Cam Newton got there. I don't know that. I haven't seen kem. Do you remember Chris Leake? Okay, yeah, Chris Leake was the quarterback and him was like Trooper or something like Yeah, I don't know. I think. I mean, I'm assuming Tim Tibo takes over. He's the freshman. And that's part of the storyline, is because Chris Leake's a senior and they're pulling him out for this freshman. And you can see the look on his face like what in a heck? Yeah, it's just so good and get this. The Nats have had a great Only team that's got a better record in the second half of the season is the Dodgers Nats. The Nats have had a great second half of the season with their young talent. Are they too far for the wild Card? Is eight games too far? No? Not at all. They're eight games out. You can make that up in definitely two weeks, I would think. So. Yeah, So I don't know they're in. They're beating good teams and not beating bad teams. But what's the deal with the Yankees have lost nine in a row man? That's hard. Does he still have a job. We went to go watch a basketball game down there, or the UVA was playing down there, And on the way back, we were listening to the debate on a radio of the Republicans and I told her I can turn or I can push pause on a debate after the question is asked, and I can tell you exactly what the answer is going to be. Except for Trump, exactly, you have no clue what's coming out. You have no idea what he's gonna say. And I love it, And I mean I was attracted to him almost immediately because of that. I mean, I'm just tired of the same old, same way. Yeah, the fact feels that way now. Yes, but he's yes, he's not. He's going to give you though, where he may be a little different than Trump is he can give you the guts of what he like. Somebody said, you know, in your first ninety days or whatever, you know, how do you plan on turning the economy around? He gave specifics. Yeah, he can absolutely go down in the weeds and tell you how he can get it done. I'm telling you, man is refreshing to hear someone do his homework. Yeah, give an answer politely, even when the person that approaches him is not. Yeah, it's just like and he can he can get you back with his own words and not raise his voice. It was a liberal asking him a question about his age. Do you think your age is a detriment because you're too young? And he said, Thomas Jefferson was what thirty and Alexander Hamilton was twenty four and they were are a founding fathers. So no, I don't think it's a problem. Wow, That's what I'm saying. His answers always to be rattled, exactly. Just also, that is what I would like to see is how he handles a debate. And I would imagine tonight it's going to beat up on De Santis night or Trump because he's not there. They're all going after Trump except for the VIC he will not. Dude's genius in that I think so too. It's like, why would you attack him? Yeah? I mean, and that's what his answer when somebody said, well, why do you think he said? I want to go further than where he was. Yeah, I want to learn from him and do better. It's like, how would you not want that anyway? So you gave a top four. And you know what I might sound too facing this if somebody tries to use this against me, because I think it was it's unbelievable that by want debate, but Trump is so far ahead? Yeah, why would he want to go debate? Correct? You know what I mean? So I sort of understand that. Yes, I think he should debate at some point when they get down to maybe the final two. Yeah, I would say that's pretty accurate. That's the order I would do it. Yeah, I would say that's and I could go to Santis. Here's one thing, man, I cannot stand that people try to call him a rhino. It's like, did you not watch him for four years in Florida? He carried, he governed like we would want Trump to govern. I agree, there are certain like there is politics are weird in there's it's all about it's almost like a basketball game, right, it's momentum. Yeah, and he just does not have the momentum. But you see him in the social you know, like a restaurant, he just looks awkward. Yes, but I mean Trump can be awkward to when he starts talking. But as a leader, they're fantastic. And behind the podium, nobody better than He just makes the crowd. He has the crowd in his hands. Crowd though he's kind of weird. So well, I'm yeah, Trump has everybody in his hands. I saw speaks. De Santis is spot on. His delivery is good, right, but the fact, man, he just hit you with intelligence. Yeah, like we missed that. But he does it without tearing down Trump, and I think that's where he is smart where De Santis was wrong. Yeah, don't go after Trump at all. There's no need to. Yeah, you beat him like Vivek is doing. You just say hey, I love what you're doing and I want to do it better. Yes, that's it. Yeah, it's gonna be interesting. It just seems like it's so well done. And Tuckers, I mean his episodes. I guess he's got nineteen of them now, I've watched them all, but I don't think I've watched the latest one. Did you see the Stupid Lady from MSNBC where she said that Tucker's ratings continue to plummet? She said, I guess he really thought he was going to be great, and you know nobody, she said he when he first came out, he was great. But his ratings continue to plummet. And somebody did a stitch on TikTok to where it shows his millions it's like twenty million, forty million, eighteen million, thirty million, and then it showed her at like two hundred thousand, four hundred thousand, two hundred thousand, and it's like, what are we doing? And do you know how silly you sound? That's exactly what the VEC talks about when he wears the truth hat. Yeah, it is just so that's what we need, man, just tell the truth to stop you're spinning. Oh speaking of lies? Yeah, Biden lies again. He goes to Hawaii. Oh good, And then he tells the you're looking one that texted me this. Yeah, Like he's telling, could you imagine Woody losing your family in a fire or them missing? And your president of the United States is standing at a podium saying, I know how you feel. My house once caught on fire. Piculous And then you find out that what he's saying is a lie. Where but where do you even get the story of an electric chord catching on fire coming through the ground. But he describes how what caused the fire inside his house. My parents had a fire. It was a bolt of flame that came from a box because of lightning. Okay, lightning came in through a tree route as a tree was struck and came under the house. And came through wire whatever, it came through the panel box. It sounded like something similar what he described. Lightning hit the lake. And then he goes a pond because it's like he's like, he's so dimentioned. Yeah, he doesn't remember what he's supposed to say. I'm supposed to use the word pond instead of lake. But the lightning hit the lake and came through an underground wire and up through his house and caught his kitchen on fire. Correct, he says, right, none of that was true. Well, no, that the fire was true, the fire in the kitchen. The fire in the kitchen, but not where it originated from or any of that other It was a kitchen fire, like they cooked something on fire. That's exactly right. Oh I didn't know that. Oh yeah, that's why I said, he's just totally lying about where did you get the origination? Because it's funny you said that. Because he also made it sound like the firefighters went running in to save people, right, And then there's different You can see different clips of him telling the story that contradicts each other so easily. Right, Sometimes he says twenty five percent of the house was lost, which none of it was lost, then he says in another scene, he says that the house was lost from the basement through the attic, but didn't it Like I think about it. That's like somebody coming to you saying I've got cancer, right, and then you replied, I know how you feel. I had a cold one time. You know, it's just the most Just shut up and just say I'm so sorry what you're going through. You know. Ben Shapiro brought up something the Jewish community, which he expouses a lot of which I love hearing about it because I don't know what they do. But when someone dies, there's a seven day morning period. Yeah, and you visit every day of the seven day morning period, and you let and you talk about the person that was lost. But the number one rule is you never talk about yourself. And Joe Biden can't help him. He has to only tell his and he's got to make you think that he's empathetic by telling you a bigger story. I saw the TikTok of him at his swearing in when he first became senator. Did you see that? How that wasn't played during the election is beyond me. It basically was a TikTok. Had said, this man has no morals whatsoever. So his wife was killed in a car accident. This was at the same time he had gotten elect did his kids were in the hospital Hunter vow and I guess the girl died. I think the mom and daughter died, right. Yeah, he made them come to the hospital to do his swearing in in front of his kids in the bed hospital because because he said he wanted to be with his family. But you and I both know why he did it. It's like if you will stoop to not know the story. When I saw it, I mean, they're they're showing the video of him and his kid in the burney, and I'm like, dude, are you seriously that you would go to no end to have the media on your side? Can he Can you tell me what would have happened if Trump had gone to Hawaii and talked about his corvette almost burning down? Oh my god? Oh yeah. At a time when people and there's there's stories that are not being told of mothers holding their child burned to death, that they haven't talked about that story yet and haven't even counted them as dead yet, they're trying to let the story the wildfire of the story go away, so that then they can tell the fact later. So, apparently first day of school, second day of school whenever it was, a Stanton River student showed up to school with the U with the United States flag in the back of his truck. Perfect fairly large flag, right, perfect, Well, they won't let him in school because it's against school policy. That so that should require us to bring Marcus Hill in here. All right. Well, the school policy is you can't have flags over certain size size And however, the school policy is that you can have patriotic stuff, and so you know, they they the school released a statement basically saying, hey, we actually have a patriot policy where we encourage us flags. We just don't want one, guys of a house. I could probably actually yeah, when but it's gotten local news and everybody's going crazy. The parents have taken the kid out of the school and doing homeschooling now and all this other jazz. So I don't know, it's interesting to me. You know what, here's the thing, I'm a parent, you're a parent. If my kid wanted to go take an American flag to school, I would be like, hey, that's cool. Yeah, but if I go out in your truck, the damn flag is bigger than the truck, I would probably ask my kid, Hey, what's how big can it be? Yeah? What do you Yeah? And if it's bigger than the truck, hey, now we're not going to do that. But this is where leadership should always come forward and just say, look, come down. I know a personal experience of a friend of mine that had an apartment community and someone in the apartment community somehow got the Glenn Beck to say the association won't let him have a flag. I don't know if I shared this with you, like, but I did the radio call for Liberty football last year as a color guy. I had a blast with it. I'm not gonna do it this year. It's my son's, my youngest son's senior year for basketball. It was a great experience. Got to be back around the Liberty football program that I was there for seven years, and man, you were so good. I don't We would sit on the deck in the edens and listen to the game and you're a freaking natural. No, I know you're taking a break, but you need to go. Hey, your voice is incredible, but your football knowledge? Did you just tell me my voice was incredible? It's like, I'm gonna leave right now. Like I'm got chills. Every here listen to you. Grove Street does live sports. We have expanded. Yeah, but no, you were really good at it. I hate you're not doing it again year, but I understand. Yeah, Cooper playing to night, Yeah, but yeah, Coach Freeze was great to me. I was with him for a little bit during the transition between coach Gill and himself, and you know, he was let me be around the team, uh, you know, travel with the team, did everything called the games. Got to see guys that I recruited when they were seventeen years old and watched them in their senior days. So it was it was really cool to see that. But I think what he did and his staff and did up at Liberty did a great job. And I think his passion for the SEC, his experience in the SEC, I think he's a heck of a recruiter. I think he's already kind of shown that. I think he does a really good job of motivating kids, and he does have one thing under his belt. He's beat Nick Saban twice. That's right. He's one of the very few people that have done that in the SEC. Yeah, so Auburn can get the talent. So if they go out there and they get the right type of dudes and he gets him coached up and his staff gets him coached up. Personally, I thought they should have hired him before. Brian Harson. I thought that. I thought it was going to happen, but he wasn't ready to make him make the move yet. Yes, and this was his time, So I think it's a great hire. I agree, all right, So he freeze this out. So now Jamie Chadwill Yeah, yeah, coach Chadwill and I we had many games against each other in the past. How do you like that? How Uh? I think it's great. Also, conflict of interesting. It is tough. I mean one of us that was like you challenge him to cannot Yeah, So it's weird right. Like So, when I was at Liberty, our rival was Coast of Carolina and Jamie was the head coach at Charleston Southern for the first four years, I think we could played against each other for four or five whatever it was. We had some awesome battles. But then he went to Coastal and then I of a sudden, bringing the Coastal guy. He's like, no, this isn't right. You can't do that. There's like unwritten rules. But he bringing out how he stay got in Michigan Exactly, you don't do it. But I think you know, coach Chadwell offensively runs a very unique offense that if he can get his quarterback to understand what he wants done, I think they can win nine games. I really and having been around the football program last year, they got two guys coming back that have played a ton of ball, so I think that'll have to get ironed out. That was probably the most unique thing I ever watched last year was watching the quarterback carousel that Liberty had. Yeah, I mean three guys. I never even knew what the heck to do. I was like, who's it? We don't even know. We'd have to watch the huddle go out on the field. But I think he does a great job offensively. The one different thing that he has that he has not had in the past his defensive coordinator is not the same that he's had for many, many years. So I think that, just like coaching, Mesh will be different. But they got talent up there, they can win, and honestly, I think in conference essay, they can win that thing easy. That's my opinion. Now here's one that hits close to home. One I love. How about Scott frost out Matt Rule in Yeah You're not no, no no. I think coach Rule is going to be welcomed immensely in Lincoln. Yeah you better win. Oh, I hope they have a Scott. He's chilling like a villain. So he's enjoying. Yeah, he is some money. From what I understand, he hadn't been. He's just me threw through the deuces up and he I think he's off the grid. And I don't blame him. You know. It just did a couple of years and yeah, wherever you will, Yeah, you know, it has to have been a tough deal that where you know, you're at your alma mater, there's a huge expectation and it didn't work out. But I think coach Rule, obviously he's proven at college level. Man, he's done a great job. Now I am want to know against him when he was a head coach, So yeah, that's right. So I remember that and uh, when he was here's another one if you want it. When I was at Buffalo, he was the offensive coordinator at Temple in two thousand and eight, they literally score with like forty some seconds left to go ahead. We get the ball, we drive it down to the other thirty five yard line, we have to score a touchdown to win, and we hit a hell Mary at the end of the game to win. Man two weeks later, so ESPN at that time had been doing a college Play of the Year and you're you're school would get I think it was like two hundred and fifty thousand dollars when we're at the University of Buffalo. That goes a long way. Oh yeah, yeah. Two weeks later, Texas Tech and Mike Leach throw the touchdown pass in the back of the end zone the Michael Crabtree over Texas. Yeah, and we lose. We had second place that year with hail Mary, but it was over Matt Rule. So going back to that, I think rules awesome, good. I think his energy, I think what he he's a tough guy like and he breeds tough like stuff with his staff. I think I think that's what Nebraska football has to get back to. What do you think happens? You know, Well, hopefully we're gonna get that at San Francisco, hopefully up in Washington with the change. I think things will change. If it does, like, what a great opportunity for an entire area, in a fan base to get fired up again. I agree, all right, we'll get through these quickly so we can get to all the teams and all the conferences. But Luke Fickle, yeah, is out at Cincinnati, but in a Wisconsin Yeah, my home, my homeland, Wisconsin. That you got a thumbs up on that. Yeah, I think coach Fickle's a hard nose, blue collar dude that's going to do it in a different way of you know, I grew up up there. It was two back and you know, first down and you get four yards, second down, you get four yards in its third and two and then by the time the fourth quarter comes around, guys are stretching their necks and rolling their shoulders. Are like, I don't know if I can do this anymore against these big brutes. I think it's just going to be a cultural change. But the wide receivers coach there, he and I worked together as a great guy. If they give those guys a chance to recruit the types of players that they want and get them there, they'll win. They will be Coach Fickles a defensive guy, and Phil Longo is the offensive coordinator. He brought in. Phil try to light up the scoreboard. Wisconsin has been known to have great defenses, and I'm tooting my wife's uncle, Kevin Cosgrove's horn way back in the day in the nineties. I mean he had I think he had three scoring defenses that were top ten nationally in the nineties. So they could play defense up there, and coach Fickles a defensive dude. So I think it's a heck of a higher And I'll be honest with if their quarterback is hot this year, I think they get a shot to win the Big Ten. Wow, good grief. We'll get into that a little later, man. All Right, So this is when I don't think you're going to be high on all right taking his place at Cincinnati Sadderfield. I thought that was interesting because I was like, so you're going from the ACC to the Big twelve. Personally, I think he thought things weren't going great at Louisville, and I think he was probably just looking, Oh, there's no doubt and he found a good spot. Yeah, but I don't know if it's gonna I think if you look back at the history of the Cincinnati head coaches, there have been a lot of really good ones that have got putting themselves in a nice spot and catapulted themselves to another bigger job. About the only one that didn't in recent memory, in my mind is Tommy Tubberville. Oh it's true, he was there and it did not end well. But you know who came in after him, Yeah, Luke Figgle, that's right. Yeah. So Brian Kelly was there before Brian Kelly. Yeah, oh my god. Butch Jones was there before we get a Tennessee job. Yeah. So Cincinnati has had a history of you know, you do it, you can do a really good job there. The interesting part for Cincinnati just be conference switch. Now it's a Big twelve versus the American that's right. It is a big deal. All right? Can I jump on that just second one because we're asking thoughts on college football, this thing that we have going on right now in college football. You just mentioned Cincinnati joining the Big Twelve. Yeah, I've hated that West Virginia's in the Big Twelve. Agree, And then I hate now we're talking about the ACC having Stanford and I don't know if they're going to do it, or a cow in the A C C. Or now we're talking to UCLA and USC, I mean all those things. Yeah, how what are these kids doing in college to travel and still go to school? I mean does nobody think about that part of it? So not football? Yeah? Yeah, like even the I mean I guess whatever conference you have, Yeah, what were they doing the Olympic sport? I don't know. If you guys have heard Elijah to drink a wits, the head coach at Missouri. He has a great take on YouTube. You should really listen to it. You know. He's talking about like, if you're a lacrosse player from Rutgers, you're supposed to go out and play Oregon on a Tuesday, Yeah, exactly, and then you got a fly and if anybody. If we all flown across country and back, it zaps you. Yes, So then you play a game on it, Let's say it's a Tuesday night Pacific time. Yeah, and then you got to fly back to Rutgers and you're supposed to get class stupid. What if you got to take a test? And here's the other thing too, If you've traveled, it can zap you, like energy wise, but also just mentally mentally, but also, oh my gosh, like hydration wise. Okay, so what if you got to go play another game in two days and you're you're a college kid, you know, yeah, Hey, you gotta hydrate all the time. They don't do it enough. All of a sudden you go out there for a game. Well not the other thing. It's injury risk is what these kids are gonna end up getting into. And then you also want to talk about mental health. If you start falling behind because you got to do all that travel, don't be surprised if some of that stuff starts popping up even more down the road. And I would hate to see it. But the interesting part of it to me is, you know, there's there's people that are in higher ups that are making this decision about money at the end of the day and the TV contracts and yeah, and well it's just it. You do feel bad for I don't feel bad for the football guys. Yeah, I don't know. I do feel bad for the other tier sports. I was talking to a friend of mine who coaches at another school and their conference, their school that's going through realignment. He coaches a different he coaches a baseball He's like, so, you're telling me we gotta go all the way across country, try to play a a Friday Saturday Sunday series. By the way, we fly commercial. Yeah, we don't charter, that's right. So I gotta get my team of thirty five kids back to where we're going for a Monday class. And you're telling me they're going to go to class, right, and then what if they have to do it the next week because there's another team in that league that is out there regionally. But so that you know, what do you do? Do you stay out there the entire week? You gotta pay for all that they're gonna miss class, Like, there's a lot of logistics that it's a nightmare, stupid. Yeah. I hope that there can be some more regional stuff that ends up coming on the way that maybe even for the second tier sports, yes, like, hey, we played Big ten football, right, but then you have maybe the Northwest Conference for yes, say it's baseball. Can't I mean, they can't keep doing it? Right? All right, let's get to the last two coaches on my list, and then we're gonna get into the conferences. All right, all right, Deon is gonna work in Colorado. I'm fired up for Deon me personally. I think if you haven't watched the Amazon Prime series on de I haven't, I would highly recommend it because I was very skeptical about him as a coach. After watching it, I really loved it. Yeah, and I loved his perspective. He does not sugarcoat. There's an example that he does in that in that series where he basically asked his team. He goes, hey, so and so has been doing this. He's been told if he does it again, he's out. He's off the team. Who here wants him to stay on the team. Maybe a third of the kids stand up? Who doesn't want him? Two thirds of the guys stand up? He looks at the guys square in the face. You're gone. Get out while the cameras are on wow, and get the kids sitting there. He's like, no, now, get out, and the kid just stands up, looks around and leaves. That's it. Yeah. Me, personally, I think kids need to hear that you and there's way too much of that that goes on. In my opinion, that we sugarcoat way too much stuff. I agree. So watching that was so refreshing. Yeah, he's doing things way different than people are doing. I think it's awesome for Colorado because they stink lately. Yes, they needed it. When I grew up in the nineties, they were awesome. Yeah. I love that they're back in the Big Twelve. I mean personally I wish Nebraska and then now I believe they're playing each other this year, right, so that they used to be a big bat. Yeah. That was my last win in the Big Twelve was at at Colorado. We got the student section kicked out in the third quarter. It was great. So I have a great memory in Boulder. So but no, I think Dion, you know, give him a cup by his standards two years. That's another place it would be great to see pack st Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, who was it McCarthy. McCarthy, yeah, yeah, when they were great. Yeah, McCarthy, yeah, yeah, all right. Last one, Trent Dilfer. Yeah, I'm just I think Trent has talked a big game. Not Trent Warner, but Trent Elfer. Yeah, we do. I think it'll be interesting for him to step into college football versus high school football, Yes, because that's where he's coming from. I think he's a quarterback. I think he gets the game. I think he's an intense dude. I think you ab has had a pretty decent tradition. I know they dropped the football program, but if you look at him before that, they've been good. Yeah, they can get they can get talented football players there too. I think. Uh. I think time will tell, you know. I think, honestly, I think it's a it's a toss up. I think he could burn his own nash and shrivel out, or he could do really well and get himself another job. But I think I think he's an all in guy. From the sounds of it. Had there been some guys that have gone from the high school ranks to do okay in college. Yeah, Baylor coach I kind of remember him. Coach Browse, Yeah, Yeah, trouble there, but I remember him. All right, let's get into the meat of it. It's what everybody's here to listen to. Oh boy, yep, we're gonna start off with the ACC. This this is our college football ACC. All right, we'll just go through the team's real quickly. Okay, just to quickly, Aaron, got you, no more stories. I'm reading the room, and then we'll get you, you know, on what who you think will will be the the upper echelon of these conferences. Sure, so let's start off with Syracuse. Oh, that's where my son's at. My son is a defensive quality control coach there. So I think the Orange are going to be awesome this year. And I'm gonna be present for at least four of their games, and they should make the ACC champions And I'm calling it right now. Clemson goes up to Syracuse. I will be there. That will be my first game there, and they're gonna win. Oh man, it's got Syracuse beaten. Yeah, all right, Florida State. Florida State's outstanding. I think they're gonna win the ACC. So you got them beating yeah, LSU is the first game of the year. I don't know about that. I think Florida State's gonna win the ACC. Okay, wow, uh Georgia Tech first year, right, coach Key? I think I believe it's his first four year. Brinky played there. Yeah, give it time. Okay. Did they really have a shot at Dion and passed on him? I don't know, all right, I don't know that was a story. I mean personally, I don't. I don't think you're the only one I ever heard say that. Oh no, it was the ESPN story. Yeah, I don't. I don't mean personally, I don't think that would a fit. Okay, uh, un they got they got the quarterback, like everybody out of the top five, and then they finished out of it. Yeah. I'll be at that game too, because that's the week after Clemson goes up to Syracuse. Syracuse plays at North Carolina. Good back to back. Yeah, it's the year that they finally put it together. Well, I think that's that's kind of what's been looming around them, right, and I think they've got it. Looks like they've got the talent for it. They've got the quarterback. My big question, you know, big thing, and I'm intrigued about. But with Drake may Is. Can he stack the years or is this going to be you know, hey, everybody's seen a year of film on him. Now we got you figured out a little bit better also too, but he is a heck of a football player. I think it's I think it's those two. My gut feel, as Clemson is not going to be as dominant as they were. Okay, NC State, do they continue to make strides or yeah, a level year. I believe Brendan Armstrong is there now right, the kid from Uva reuniting with Robert and I is oc from Uva, So I think that is a big, big deal. Coach Dorn's a defensive dude. They're gonna be a hard victory for anybody to beat them. They were beating teams last year with quarterbacks out of the stands. Yeah, yeah, pulling kids from everywhere. Yeah. The one thing if you look back to at NC States recruiting, they've done a really good job of getting really really talented guys. That's right. Yeah, Yeah, you know, is the ACC this year they're doing still a coastal in the Atlantic. No, they did away with it, so it's just this is the first year without it. So your top two teams will face in the championship game. I believe. So, yeah, I believe that's what it is. Yeah, and you got Syracuse. Okay, we'll get back to that, all right. Virginia. Well, they got to deal with a different quarterback, I know, and Tony Elliott. I like Tony, I was around. I went down in meant circus a couple times. I still think it's you know, it's a year two. Yeah, and you know, you get to strike it rich on some guys and and you know, I think they'll probably be middle of the pack. Gotcha. So local guy Davis. Yeah, so I see where he's made the switch to defend Yeah, he said safety, I believe. And I think in the spring and I know in the spring game because I watched their spring game on ESPNU, they had him run down the field on kickoff and he was he was white lightning running down the field and he smoked the returner. H Davis can run. I think his you know, get some playing time. You know, time will tell on that one. You know, he's this is a total switch for him to move over to see I'll give him credit. I asked this of Trent last year. Are we shocked that he didn't hit the transfer portal, but I'll give him credit for sticking it. Oh yeah, absolutely. Davis is a great kid. He's a loyal guy too, and he's he's a great athlete, you know. And I think I was a special teams coordinator for five years. Yeah, if Davis could, you know, get fight like crazy to start on some special teams, whether it's kickoff, punt, whatever it is, or start on all of them and do his job, be accountable and make plays when it's his opportunity. That's when a defensive coach or safety's coach might be like, man, you know what, we need to maybe get him in the rotation. It's happened to me so many times over my career. If he just looks at it and it can approach it like that, the sky's a limit for him. Good Virginia Tech coach Pry. I think year two is going to be better than it was from year one. I think culturally, you know, they're they're they've started. It looks like they've they've moved in the right direction. Got to call their last game against Liberty at in Lynchburg this past year. I thought I saw a big improvement from the beginning of the year to the end. As far as upfront, it looked like they were they were finally getting that mentality of being bullies legally. Yeah, and so I think think again. I still see them as a middle of the road team, but better than they were a year ago. Right, wait, Forest, do they stumble backwards? I don't think so. Well. I hesitate when I say that quarterback's gone he went to Notre Dame, and the offensive coordinator's gone, and that offense. I got to call that game last year when Liberty went down to the very end. That's right. It was a great football game. Yeah, great football. That is the most unique offense in my opinion, in college football. Yea, and with a different offensive coordinator, it'll be interesting to see. I think they're staying with the same stuff because I watched their spring game. It looks like they're staying this. It's just a different guy calling it and a different quarterbacks. So good team. I don't know if they're going to be as good as they were a year ago. That'd be my guest. BC uh, same old thing, Yeah yeah, yeah, loves a Flowers though. Yeah, man, I think Baltimore hit it right on that one. Yeah, I really do. Oh Miami, are they back? No, I don't think so. No, No, I've already seen a headline building the culture, rebuilding the culture. It's like every time they get a coach, they keep talking about the culture, the culture, the culture, and then the guy in three years is gone. Yeah. I mean Crystal Ball, he's a Miami dude, and he's an old line guy. And yeah, you know, I mean I watched the ACC preview the other day. They've got a true freshman playing left tackle. Wow, And I think he reported early and he's a stallion. But that's a statement if you're going to be a true freshman playing in the ACC at Miamiyah on the line. Yeah, so have an old line can beat a freshman who's probably seventeen eighteen years old. Yeah, and there's some special ones that have done it. But I mean, who knows. Yeah, so maybe Clemson, you're seeing them taking them. I just I just I don't think they're gonna. I think, you know, now Garret Riley gives him something different on offense, you know, a new offensive coordinator. But I don't know. I'm I just I think they're maybe third or fourth in the league this year. Wow, all right, Pitt, Pitt's always just a bunch of pricks. I love I love Pitt Football, like watching him because I just it's a perfect coach for there. Yeah, I totally agree with that. And then our doozy looks like he's just a Pittsburgh prick, right, I mean it's awesome, and I think they'll beat people and they'll be annoyed when they get beat by him. And if you look at Pittsburgh's history, I mean they've had some really good pro football players coming out of there. I mean for a long time, but even recently. You know the Addison kid that went to Minnesota. Yeah, you know, he transferred USC, you know, can you pick it? Yeah, you know, and obviously Aaron Donald, Yeah he doesn't suck. So yeah. So I think, you know, pitt eight nine maybe eight nine win team. I wasn't two years ago they went to the ACC Championship, right, Yeah, So you know, I think I think they're always a threat just to their culture is established all right in Duke. M Duke's always kind of a crapshoot to me. I think coach out goes awesome, but he's done there. Yeah, I mean he won nine games last year, that's right, in a great year. Yeah, I think probably take a step back. I honestly don't know if they have the same quarterback back or not. I'm being completely honest on that one. So headline the other day it's just Clemson to try to get beat Duke in the a SEC this year, Like that's the two teams they were thinking. I was like, man, what headline am I read? Nothing? Yeah, I think part of it's obviously going to come down to this, you know, like you said Trent to, you know, is there two divisions or not? Yeah, part of that's going to come down to the scheduling. Yeah, you know who plays who and who don't you play? Absolutely so. But yeah, I mean I think I viewed Duke kind of as a pit team. So nore Dame is not are they're not. They're independent, so they're not eligible to play in the championship. Now they are, they can get it as an independent. And I'm talking about in the no no, no, no, it's just so Louisville was our last one, and we think they're they're just a rebate coach and change coach. Brom going back to his ALBUMA mater. Yeah, great offensive coach, you know, a middle of the pack team. Okay, all right, who's your pick to win the ACC? I'm going to Florida State and I hope my son does not listen to this, you got. I would love for Syracuse to win it because that's my blood. And who are they facing in the championship game? Oh? I think it's gonna be North Carolina. That's gonna be a hell of a game. All right. And they cut nationally. They show Florida States eight and UNC's twenty first preseason ranking preseason right, yeah, and the only other team ranked is Clemson ninth. Yep. Moving on. I coached the Jayhawks for a couple of years, Lance Leopold. I think he is one of the best college football coaches out there. I think so. Their quarterback is actually the preseason Big twelve Offensive Player of the Year, Jade Daniels. They went to a bowl game last year, they lost Arkansas. I think it's gonna be probably about the same seven or eight wins, and they have a humongous stadium upgrade and facility upgrade going on at KU that is gonna be absolutely lights out. Who We're good for them. I'm glad to see his teams like that. Saw me. Vanderbilt has a stadium up grade? Do you say a mimi? Yes? And every week? And the point and the mimi was why there was no one going to those scholar st I've watched the SEC previous Why did they do that? Everybody's high on this coach at Vanderbilt, Clark, but we'll talk about him, sorry, SEC. Good lord, can you stay on topic? Oklahoma? Does he back this year or is he looking at a job back at Clemson. I'll tell you what if he doesn't, If he doesn't get to the Big Twelve championship, he's gonna be tough for a job. I agree. Yeah, I believe Oklahoma has had one of their best recruiting classes though from what I read, it's the highest recruiting class above any of Lincoln Riley's when he was there. No. Wow, So well, I guess we'll see with the talent. I believe Dylan Gabriel the quarterback is back again also too, so I think last year the only game they really got just tattooed was Texas. But from what I understand, if Dylan Gabriel played the entire game, it was at least it was within seven points. So but at Owe, you man, you got to get the wins. So they're last year in the Big Twelve, right, Yes, and then they go to the SEC. Yeah. Oh man, the nuisance coach Klemen's awesome. Uh, they'll probably get ten wins. Oklahoma State. Uh, they've got a little bit of a roster flip going on there this year and coach Gundy's been there forever. Yeah. I just saw a stat today too that like Oklahoma State's one of the top ten most donated universities too in the country, Oregon being number one. But I would say I'm gonna say Oklahoma State gets like seven maybe eight wins. Okay, Baylor really good football team. God, I didn't realize they had all these damn people in this car. Yeah, Baylor. I think Baylor is going to challenge for the Big Twelve this year. Houston. Now, the other thing I read too, Houston had the highest ranked recruiting class behind Texas, A and M in the state of Texas this year. Wow, hell's Texas doing. But I mean that maybe just because Dana was running around drinking red Bulls and being funny and stuff like that or whatever. I don't know, but yeah, true, Texas, they have to win the championship. Yeah, I think, uh, everybody always talks about Texas in the preseason, Oh my gosh, they're gonna be incredible, and then they win seven games exactly. I think defensively, they've always got the talent always. I think it solely rests upon Quinn yours if if he can be quarterback from day one to the end and win them football games, not just be on the winning game, but like he needs to win football games. If he can do that, they can make a run for the for the national title. So Manning doesn't see the field. I don't think so neither. I think in an ideal world that dude needs to red shirt. Suky's him been there two years. I think this is his third. Yeah, and he needs to you know, he's got to win too, because, like you said, too, they're heading into the SEC also, Yeah, that's right. Uh TCU do they? I mean they obviously. I don't know that they can do what they did last year. I don't think they will. Number One. Max Duggan's gone yea, which I mean that guy was incredible last year. Quinn Johnson the receiver, he went to San Diego, he went to the San Diego the Chargers of LA my bad. You know, I think they're going to be really good again. I don't think they're going to be what they were a year ago. Okay, Texas Tech. I love Texas Tech. I love the head coach there, Joey McGuire. He's actually one of the first Texas high school coaches I ever met, and he was one of the nicest human beings to me. When I was wearing a University of Buffalo shirt. He treated me like I was wearing an Alabama shirt, and I've signed numerous guys of his over the years at multiple schools. I personally think Texas Tech is on the path to being something really good down there for the Big Twelve, and especially with OU and Texas leaving, I think they're a team that moving forward because I'm telling you, Joey McGuire guys is one of the best motivators I've ever heard in my life, and I think kids love to play for this guy, absolutely love it. And the way they play too. They went from fourth down more than any team in the country last year. If it's fourth and sixth, he will not flinch. He'll be like, go for it. He won't even like think. And he's a defensive coach, which is even better. It's crazy, So I have to apologize for saying, why are we going over every team? Because this dude has not missed on anybody yet. It's like he literally knows something about every prec What in the hell keep me moving? Woody buzz By U Nah, Cincinnati Nah? Not in the Big Twelve? That new coach all I mean, just UCF. I think it'd be a real problem for a lot of Big twelve people. Let's see that. And just UCF has got some different talent down there that I've seen with my own eyeballs. Gus mel Zon's the head coach. Uh and where where was Gus from? Yeah? Yeah? And you know if you when you watch Gus's offense though, it's it's gimmicky, like you know, that was kind of what got him ridden out of Auburn at the end, like he couldn't. They didn't do anything that made wide receivers want to go there and play football like they were basically offensive tackles standing outside that really fast. So but I think just what you CF is, I think you cf it would be a very interesting team to the Big twelve. I could see them sneaking in nine wins this year. Shout out to Keenan cubitd senior year. Yeah it is, isn't it. Who's who's winning that conference? Big twelve? Yep. I'm gonna say Baylor wins it this year. And they may play going back and forth between Kansas State and Texas Tech. Not Texas No. Yeah, I'm sorry for for all the Longhorn people out there. Teas Tech, Yeah, I do think the I think Texas Tech is gonna have some fun this year, all right. Big ten, Oh yeah, damn it got the best big In my opinion, the Big Ten is the big winners of all of this realignment stuff because if you think about it, I just say this. You wake up in the morning, you start watching Big ten football. When you go to bed, you keep watching Big ten football. Geez when it all starts next year. They are the only team that has somebody minus the Mountain Mountain time zone. Yeah, that you can literally watch Big ten football the entire day. Wow, I didn't think of that. They are going to crush it when it comes to the TV stuff. Yeah. Michigan, Michigan awesome. They're preseason number two. They don't miss anything with Harball own for if you look at the games that he's gonna miss, it's all lower non conference games. And I think Michigan just the way they go about their business is different than most. They are bullies. They physically impose their will on you, and they've got really good skill kids. But they also have the quarterback McCarthy back I think it is his name. That kid can run and he can rip it. Michigan's got shot Michigan State. M M. I know they took a step back last year. Yeah, I think they're a wild card, but I could you know, I could see them going either way. Ohio State. Yeah, that's an interesting when you got to replace, got to replace quarterback. You know, they got Marvin Marvin Harrison junior back who's going to be the highest drafted receiver next year. So they'll have talents. That's my husband pick over Caleb Williams. Yes, uh, CAYLEB Williams going back the other way. Shocker, telling you just listening to Okay, well we'll get to we'll get to him. We actually we're not doing the pack. I wasn't doing the pack because they just kept yea the pack four. Yeah, so you got Ohio State kind of wait and see. Yeah, I think that. I mean, they're gonna be a good team, but I think it's gonna come down to win that that that game. If they I just put it out there, if they only win nine games and they lose badly to Michigan, that could be a very bad deal for Ryan Day. I agree. Maryland. Maryland I think is an interesting team. They have talent. Yeah, I'm telling you guys, they have some of the best talented looking kids in the country on that football field. Yeah, but you gotta go into Wisconsin and win. I totally agree. But Wisconsin's changing who they are philosophical, but it's the weather. But that's school that I say has to hate that they switched. Yeah, I agree, you can make a dominant I totally agree. And they don't fit the Big ten. And you know what the other thing is too, is if you look at Maryland's roster, if you look and see how many guys that went to Alabama first and transferred back to Maryland, look at where they're from. They're from the DMV. Yeah, they get a ton of kids that come back to I recruited that area for seven years. Yeah. There are so many good football players in that area, and really good players. I mean just Caleb Williams. He's from Gonzaga College High School in in DC. I watched him throws an eighth grade or sixty five yards and I looked at his coach and Michael, I'm like, I'm like, who's that guy? He goes, he goes that's Caleb. I'm like, what is he got? Sophomore junior? He goes eighth grade. I'm like, what came over shook my hand, didn't have a hair on his face. I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. So there you go, Trent. I don't know, he might come back the expert State. I think they're gonna have a really exceptional year. Indiana middle of the road. Right, who wins the East? That was all those teams? Uh, I'm gonna say Michigan. But I really think Penn State can make a lot of noise on that end this year. Okay, Oh, now, let's look at the West Nebraska. Uh, New Year, middle of the road. Okay. Iowa the most boring team in football if you ask like today's day and age kids. They hate watching them because their scores are always like seven to three year whatever. They'll find a way to win eight games, was it, Kurt Finger? Yeah, he's just he's the highest paid, highest state paid employee in the state Iowa. He's been there for a long long time. I do think though, if Iowa struggles and does not win exceptionally this year, he could be done. Yeah. All right, so those of you that use ESPN as your fantasy football deal, don't set the league up on your phone because it will give you the number one pick automatic. So last year I made sure I did it on my laptop. I showed I think it was Brian French or whoever. I was like, hey, look, it says an hour before the draft it's going to be randomized who gets the number one pick? I do. I'm like, I look like the biggest schmuck. So I showed Trent and Jeff Rupert, another guy in our league. I show him this week. I'm said, look at the screen. It says one hour before the draft randomized. If I get the number one pick, I think I'm gonna be burned at the state. But I don't want the number one. Nobody really wants. Its funny that you get the number one pick. Last year, I picked Jonathan Taylor after the year he had before, and he sucked last year because he got hurt. Now he's trying to find a team. Would you have you ever seen the TikTok's where fantasy leaguers come up with ways to see who's going to be where in the draft, like they do the forty, like they're in the combine.
