It's hard a love and hard your eyes to find. See you've never phone the door to this hard of mine. Kill can no more of me? All right? Everybody that was flat lonesome? You've never heard of them? Have you? All? I have not? You get no more I zoned out though, so good that is you'll get no more of me. Apparently that is Tren's word of the day, because he's not here, so we'll get no more of him. You go on vacation and welcome everybody. I've got to tell everybody. Welcome, Welcome to another episode of Life Liberty Happen this time your host Brian Sly. We are alive in the David Hallmakers State Farm Studios. What he is with me today? The button pusher is back from vacation, back and rested in Trent. I guess apparently just decided you know what, I'll take another week. So we had a week off last week. I know everybody's excited that we're back, but unfortunately mister Warner is not with us this week, although we may try to check in with him later on. Who knows. He hasn't texted, so he's been off the grid. I don't know what he's doing, but maybe we'll find out a little later in our number two possibly. Uh, how was your Tell me about your vacation. You were on a crew, Disney crew. It was amazing. Yes, it was a Disney cruise to the Bahamas. We spent a day on Castaway k their private island. Yeah, and the boat was fantastic, Dinner was fantastic. Uh, town, my wife was fantastic. And then we went to Disney World. After that stayed at a resort we've never stayed at and that was wonderful. It was like it was it was nothing. You know, sometimes on vacation you kind of like, oh, with this one, literally everything clicked. Everything was great, The weather was perfect, everything was just fantastic. Yeah, it's great. I can't say. I can't say enough good thing. So you do another cruise? Yeah, we're actually Yeah, we're looking at one in twenty twenty five. The only thing, if there was one thing that we the first night, the captain came over the thing and told us that we the remnants of Hurricane Lee were still in the Florida Straits and we were kind of following it a little bit. Uh. And so the first night was a little rocky and where we were like, oh no, this is gonna be awful because we were kind of both like, oh, let's just But then you woke up the next morning you forgot you're on a boat like it it was gone, so sure it was. The boat was another boat that yah, tropical storm Laura. Oh lord, she's probably there. We go, oh, well, that's awesome. Trent was away this weekend too. He had his daughter's wedding. Man, that's wonderful. Yeah, it looked like I did not attend. We had a family reunion to go to. Uh. But it looked like it was extremely uneventful, but eventful for a wedding. So congratulations to Audrey. Congratulations she is now married to Josh Right. Yes, I know, Josh, Yeah, that's what I heard. He actually starred in a short film. I did look at that. He was fantastic too. He was a really really nice guy. Like yes, I mean they were we filmed all day. He put up with everything. It was great. Yeah, that's awesome. So congratulations to them, and on this day we'll move on to this day in the history. In nineteen sixty four, the Warren Commission issued their report on h JFK that JFK was shot by Lee Harvey rswe so that I guess that would be the first time for me that I've started going all right, not so much so, and I need to do some research on the Warren Commission. Yeah, let's see who these people actually were. See, and you got to look at the scandals going around at the same time too, because like right now, like you gotta look at well, was this person in a scandal and this wasn't out for them? Yeah, it's interesting. Go down the rabbit hole, all right? On new drama feedback, new computers on the way. I've grades that is, yeah, i'p grades are coming, up grades are coming, all right. Uh, speaking of government, I am hooked on Homeland. I've heard this good show. However, oh you can't watch it. And then now just totally dislike Settle Intelligence, I mean, I listen, don't come knocking on my door. CIA. I'm just telling you. I've been watching this and it makes you wonder just how much stuff is real and what's faking. Just it's these shows though, they scare you because like there's like little slivers of truth and there is no doubt, and like it just it makes you want to go back. And for me, it makes me want to go back and study history. Like here's my view on the CIA. If you were spying in other countries, I'm all for it. And I know we have a policy here in America that you can't spy on Americans, right, Yeah, but listen, if anybody in their right mind followed the twenty sixteen election, we all know we found out they were spying on Donald Trump. So but for some reason, people want to ignore those facts, like like that's not a big deal. They were just look, he was working with Russia. Okay, I don't care who he was working with. You're not supposed to be spying on American citizens, right period, end of story. But yet it happens, so I was. It is very intense. Trent hit the nail on the head. It gets so intent sometimes and you just God, here's what I've always thought about people that work in those environments. I can't imagine going my whole life living like that. Like, have you ever been to the tomb of them? And you've never been to Arlington National Cemetery. I feel bad Wood You've gone on a cruise but not sap making mouse but I didn't. Okay, you desperately do need to go, and you need to watch the ceremony when they come out and they walk and whatever. It is very moving. But when you start doing research on the people that do that, the guard, yeah, the Honor Guard or whatever they're called. I think it's called the honor Guard. Like, dude, they have no life, like, that's what they do. And it's like, I can't imagine you're giving up your whole life. And don't get me wrong, it's very prestigious what they do. Yeah, but you have no life, like there's no like being in the CIA, there's no Europe. I guess I can't fathom being in a country like Lebanon for that law and all you're doing is spying and yeah, nothing stuff like real you're always looking for the holes, you're always Yeah, I couldn't I couldn't do it. I'm not built for it. Do you think people are built that way? Or are they trained to be that way? Or do you think they're trained. Do you think any part like it takes a certain type to be able to be trained that way? Or can anybody be like Flip the switch brand in his opinion, since coming, he's come around twice all day long, Brad, I think so much today has been the trains train. I do have an idea, but we'll pitch you later. Move No, like I've thought about Like, so every time the train comes, like you're it's an annoyance. Sometimes well we could turn it to a good thing and we collect donations for something local every time you hear the train. So that way, if in an episode it comes a boy four times, you know at least it's going to a good talk. So it's a good point. Might we might ef that? Yeah, So anyway, I do recommend watching Homeland because I think you do get a sense of country duty. Yeah, there's some scary things to it, but it's also it is riveting, like and it does get stupid, like I don't know why, for some reason, these writers feel the need to carry you down these dumb roads of psychotic behavior and yeah, you know, seeing things and yeah, just stupid stuff. I don't I just don't know why they have to do that. But it's parts of that in there, but very little. So so far it has been really good. I am already up to season five. Good lord you burnt on. Well, I've enjoyed the heck out of it, so I can't complain. My wife will complain, but I can't. All right. Moving on to the next subject is a new movie that is coming out. Go ahead and play cut one and it's a long clip, but when we come back we'll talk about it. Cut one. Here are these rare stories. Well, how the impossible happen? That's kind of terra what I feel? Well, Frost of love and be with you first. This is one of those stories. You can do just about anything. You said your mind tapoo ibbs here, Oh maybe, but it's the drink. He becomes the devil's side. You know that. Ain't your brother. I ain't gonna be preaching man around here. I heard you might be needing one. We're fine. I don't think we are. I ain't the proper. Don't the proper happen? Yeah? Yeah, that's a fool. At some point in our lives, we are all going to feel desperately alone. Let me realize that we ain't never alone. Sunday. You gonna have to fight for your marriage and things getting tough. That's what you do. You're fine. You must be one of case friends and no, feel ain't got no good looking friends. Was my sister. Well, I was just being friendly. Might you be friendly in that direction over there? Yeah? Okay, all right. That is the movie called The Blind Dude. That looks fantastic. That gave me chill. I know it opens tomorrow. That is great. I can't wait, man. So I had a buddy of mine that said he couldn't wait to go see it. So he or he went to order tickets online. It's already sold out for this Ah, that's all. It looks fantastic. It does so for those of you who are riveted right now. It is the basically the documentary of Phil robertson the Duck Dynasty, his intriguing story, and it's going to be amazing. I actually how I heard about it. I saw TikTok of an interview that they were doing of the family about the movie, and so they asked say what he thought, and he said it was very emotional. It made him very emotional. And Phil just said it was embarrassing that he doesn't want to think about how bad he was of a person early in life. And it's a great story. I can't wait to watch it too. I think it's gonna be a great, fantastic it does. You wouldn't think that would be a good movie, but I mean just the actors and actresses, phenomenal cinematography. Oh yeah, it's unreal. There he goes drop, Here we go starres. So anyway, I can't wait. That opens up tomorrow. So is it? Is it going in theaters? Are going on streaming? Is a theater on a theater? Uh? If you you know. I thought about this the other day. I saw that the auto workers are on strike. Hollywood is still on strike. It just seems like you don't have these issues when we're in a good economy. It's only when we're in a bad economy. And the way I was thinking about Hollywood, and I thought to myself, so let me get this straight. You got the elites that are picketing the elites right for more money. And it's the damnest thing I've ever heard. And would you even have noticed or cared if you didn't see it on the news, Like you wouldn't know. And what sucks about it? It's on It's like sports right where they say, well, you know, we're not picketing for us, we're not striking. It's for the cinematography that's barely making any money. That's who we're doing this for. No, you're not, because if you were, you wouldn't be asking for ten million dollars per episodes. Well, and the royalty things. I get some of it, but like I don't. There's no other career out there. Like once you build a house and sell it, it's sold, you've made your money. Like every time it sells down the road, you don't get a cut of that. No, that's a great point. It's just so some of it's like it doesn't make sense. Y'all. Welcome to everyday life in Americas. Oh me, anyway you're listening to life liberty Happiness. Now onto sports life liberty happiness, sports right? The MLB, Major League Baseball? What you had to say for reason? Yeah, because I never know what your knowledge is. MLB's Major League Baseball the Os. I appreciate that the Os meaning the Baltimore Orioles. They are still in first place team, they are doing very well. The battle now has they've they've locked up their playoff birth until of a lot of other teams. But there are teams still battling for the wild card positions in the American League. I'll give you a rundown to those. Toronto, Houston in Seattle are pretty much the only teams that are battling for a playoff spot. National League, you've got the Diamondbacks, the Cubs, the Marlins, the Reds, and the Padres all battling. Everybody else has been eliminated unless you are a divisional winner, and that's that's pretty much the Braves. I can't remember the Dodgers, and so I can't remember all them anyway. So that's your Major League Baseball update. But those are the teams that are still in it. So playoffs will be coming around, oh gosh, probably a couple of weeks, I would think. So at this stage, really, the Os would be the only team that's Trent's team right, yes, and Trent has suffered because the O's haven't been good for a long long time. So maybe this is their year now. Funny story, I did take a we went on a field trip and like the eighth grade to a Baltimore Oils game. M that would have probably been at County Stadium. It was I doubt it was Candon. I can't remember. Maybe in Camden Yards. Camdon Yards came in and then I remember that was a fun field trip. Yeah, it's a hot dog, remember that. I remember the game. Of course. Nascar Billy Badass Byron one in Texas. Good name, it doesn't it like I don't know who these PR people are, right, Yeah, like you sat down with him and you go, hey, William Byron is not gonna get you a lot of NASCAR fans. Yeah right, maybe if you were in Formula one. Yeah, William Byron sounds good. Nascar Billy Badass Byron. That's a good name. Oh, Billy Byron, I don't care. Just William. You cannot know. I like, he doesn't go by Billy. No, William, you gave him that name. I gave him Billy Badass Byron. I take that back. That would be Brad. Oh that's a good name. Yes, I agree, it is a perfect name for him. But he won in Texas, so he'll move on in the playoffs. They have that playoff rounds and things that they have. This week they will head to Talladega. Talladega is a great track. I love it. I don't care if they ride around in circles it. Talladega is the one race to me Daytona two that if you are thirty eight in points you legitimately have a chance to win. That is the one thing about NASCAR that I like. There's other things, but that's the one consistent thing. Is you can be a team that is funded barely whatever, and all of a sudden you can win a race like Talladega. It's possible, yeah, that, you know. Whereas if you're playing in football and you're, oh, in sixteen, you ain't winning, you know what I mean, You're not knocking off. It's rare, Whereas in NASCAR it can happen, and it does happen, and I do pull for that. NASCAR is in a bad spot right now. I was going to talk about this with Trent here because I wanted his take on it, but he is m I A. So I'll mention it to you. NASCAR came along with this system they put in place about six or seven years ago. They're called charters. Okay, So before if you let's say you and I grow Street FM, we were going to own a NASCAR team. We could go out and buy one and then we could qualify for races. So they used to have forty three cars is all they would take. So there maybe fifty cars trying to get forty three spots. Yeah, but all you had to do was own the car. I mean there was no you didn't have to you know, you just paid your entry fee and that's what you did. The problem with that is, let's say that Grove Street FM went out, we bought a car, and we ran some races, and we ended up winning races, right yeah, somehow someway. Yeah, and then we just decided, you know what, we don't have the money to keep doing this. I know we're a good team, we're a marketable teams, so we'll sell it. Guess what it's worth, whatever the heck you've got to offer. Huh. It didn't have a value. So people who were good teams, yeah, they didn't have a value to it. It was just whatever they were preparing for the parts and cars and you follow me and shot maybe so you know, you could get away with buying something fairly cheap, a good car. NASCAR wanted to have a value. So for instance, for instance NFL the Cowboys, it's a franchise, Well, the Redskins just sold recently. Yeah, you know, like billions of dollars. They have a one franchise could be worth more than another. The correct So obviously you looked at the Cowboys franchise and you would go all right that, you know, we'll go after that one, whereas you would pay less for Minnesota Vikings franchise. But in NASCAR, there was no value like that, you know what I'm saying. It was just whatever you were getting in return. So they came up with this charter system where you would purchase a charter with NASCAR, and there were thirty six charters. I think that they were selling that way. Once you owned a charter, if you went to sell it, it had a value. It came with everything you needed to race. And so recently they had a charter sell for forty four million, which is way different. I think one sold just two years ago for twenty me So you see what I'm saying, Just in a couple of years, it's gone up. Here's the problem. NASCAR's talked about going away from the charter systems. So you've got all these people that paid no if you're if you're let's say you and let's say grow Street of him owned a charter, Yeah and it's worth forty million. Now yeah, okay, my uh wl and I owned a charter and just sold it last week for forty million. Yeah. And I find out you're not gonna do charters anymore in a couple of years or next year. Yeah, why the hell would I keep my team because it may be worth nothing in a year. Yeah, But they haven't decided that. And this, this is how stupid They've just both Why are they deciding to go away from it after they went to it? Like, what's that? What's the reasoning the owners now that own these franchises that's will constead of charters, we'll call them franchises. Okay, they want more money from NASCAR because NASCAR is signing the TV deals and they're getting the money. The owners are saying, we want a piece of that pie. And so NASCAR is like, we've put all of our money into these charters that have made your business is successful, and you want more money from the TV side. Okay, we'll go away from the charters then and you can have more money from the TV side. It's both sides or the problem. Yeah. The problem I have with the owners is for decades they have relied on sponsorships to pay their way, and they literally hang on the balance of can we get sponsored? Yeah? Can you land that? Yeah? And it's that difficult. It is a hard road. Oh god, now yeah, right, companies are cutting back and that's correct, but that's the way it's always been. And the their avenue now is we want to rely less on sponsorship. Well, dude, your sport goes to hell if you get rid of sponsorships, if you just get TV dollars, and that's what becomes. And you've got a bunch of cars riding around that are red, white and blue and orange and yellow with no sponsors. Ain't nobody watching, no the sponsors. I mean, that's what what has made that sport. Anyway, I've talked way too long about NASCAR. F one Max for stabbing one again. This time he won in Japan. Keep hearing his name a whole lot. He's won every race but on three this year. I think so, Yeah, he's dominated. They're off this week, but they will be back in October eighth. In Qatar, where's quar guitar? That's your question? What's uh? Well, I'm let me page staff in there. Okay, let's see. Anyway, they're in Qatar college football, are you? Uh? I have been following in front. Where's the quitar? At cutter? Is a quitar? Cutter? Which one is? It is a quitar or cut Where is guitars? In the Middle East, on the northern the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East? Well, there you go, Qatar. How do you say it? Yeah? I think guitar, right, you don't think it's cutter? No, I think it's quitar. Well, let's well we can effort that too, though. Well, I was going I was trying to find where it would like my little phone. Sometimes you hit a speaker and it goes qatar or cutter guitar. That's what it sounds like. Sounds like a crow ar, Okay, Qatar. I have been following college football a little bit. Your next story with Colorado and I have been following Colorado. How did that work out? Not too good? Not too good? This past week. We actually listened. We were on the way home and I remember was all that they're playing an organ. Yeah, so we listened to it and we and it was forty to nothing, like, oh yeah, it's Look, that's the problem I have is it's the media and Dione uses it. Don't get me wrong, and I love what he's doing out in Colorado, that's the thing. But I'm also a realist. And I'm not telling you that I'm some great I've just been around football enough to know and locker rooms that you just don't walk into a program and become great. Look, Nick Saban didn't do it. Nobody's ever done it. You can have some winning seasons, but to maintain you have to build a program. That's what you have to do. And he's in the process of building it. That's realistic. What's unrealistic is to expect him to go. I mean, they won the first two games and people were putting them in the College Football Playoffs, knowing that they still had to play Oregon USC. It doesn't here's the thing. They got thumped by Oregon. They got USC this week. Yeah, if they get thumped again this week, those kids that were riding high guess what. I don't care how much you yell at him or you motivate them. They can easily go the wrong way. At the end of the day, they're still eighteen year old kids. Kudos to Prime for what he's built out there. Obviously, Colorado is going to be packed for this game, whereas last year it probably wasn't because they get thumped. Anyway, he's been he's been good for the whole thing. He's been good. Yes, everybody's talking about it, which is exactly what you want. So but they did run into again, uh and it was not pretty. The final school was forty two to six. He did do a good interview after it though, Yeah, which he does, but like I mean his remarks about people saying, oh they needed to be humbled. He was like, no, I mean we you know, we're just confident. And but anyone who remembers watching Deon saying yes in the day knows that that he has stayed the same yea ever since. Yes, that's him, that's who he is. Wait a minute, Oregon just scored against I'm just kidding. You're right, I mean, Deon, that's who he is and he's not gonna change for anybody. He'll get them prepared to play as good as they can against USC. Now it's also college football. USC can come in over confident and get beat by Colorado. It's going to be interesting. If he pulls that off, you know, he'll be back on the list of great coaches and everybody will love him again this week. But you've ready to sound a ten year content. Oh yes, yes, they already signed a contract with him that they couldn't pay. That they can't now they're making plenty of it. Oh So, anyway, both Virginia and Virginia Tech continue to lose. I have no idea which both of those programs are heading in the wrong direction. On the UVA side, I think a lot of people agree that he's probably not the right coach. On the Virginia Tech side, a lot of people think Bret Prye is the right coach. The problem is both of them are losing. And I don't know how long. You know, Bret prys probably got this year. I don't know if Tony Elliot's gonna make it. No, he will, you know why he'll make it with UVA because of the tragedy. Yeah, and they've given about two years. Yeah, for that. They'll give him two years for that. But they don't. I mean, look, they just they competed hard last week against cc State, but I just do not see an improvement with that team. So in Virginia Tech's not either. I mean it's it's bad. LSU, on the other hand, squeaked by it, I mean squeaked by Arkansas at home. That was not I did not see that coming. But a win's a wind in the SEC. It's difficult week end and week out, sure, so they'll move on. They got Old Miss at Old Miss this week. Yeah, and after Old Miss got housed by Alabama, they're gonna want a revenge. So watch how the LSU. So that's not gonna be easy. Uh, Tennessee the games watch this week. You got Colorado and USC, LSU, Old Miss, Tennessee and South Carolina or some good ones. That's in. College football is where it's at. Yes it is done, but yes, that college football is where it's at. I love, love, love college football. I could watch it, I mean I do. Even the drama in it is more interesting than NFL because I mean, now, granted, the Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey that has me riveted, but man, I don't know. It's just because I like college football way more than proball. You and Taylor Swift. Swift have about the same amount of knowledge of football. Cheers cheering hard though. You saw that man go team go. Yeah, unbelievable. I'll say this so for me, it doesn't have to be. I could watch college football. Yeah, if it's Kansas State versus Missouri like it just it is. Have you ever been to a college football game? I mean Liberty, You've never been to Virginia Tech. It's been it was a long time. It was like before they were started getting good with like Jim druncon Miller stuff. Yeah. Yeah, I was back in the day. That was back when they still had wooden bleachers. I used to sit on them, exactly what you're talking about. Yeah, Maurice Desucco he was before. He was there before Jim Duncan though. Antonio Freeman I remember him. Yeah. Anyway, it's it's great. It's the environment. It's ter It does no matter where you go. I've been to JAMU it's terrific environment, UVA, Virginia Tech, LSU, Tennessee. There's it's college football, man, it's your hometown and it's man, I will say this SEC is different. Who yeah, they put that up with who. They did an interview with one of the coaches, and uh, it's super he says, bigger in Super Bowl, like any game is that it has the feeling. Oh yeah, So here's the thing. And that's what I was trying to convey to Trent. Like Colorado seats fifty some thousand, right, yeah, so it's not to me it's not a big stadium. But watch an organ last week, right, it's packed. It only seats fifty some thousand. It's things are different in the SEC. They all see one hundred thousand. It's the energy, it's the energy that everything. It's crazy though, Like Neeland Stadium, Tennessee is one hundred thousand, man us use one hundred thousand. I mean it's and they pack these places. Yeah South Carolina every week, man, every other week. I mean. But and it doesn't matter who they're playing. They could be playing Bathune, Cookman and they still come out and it's a it's an all day affair. Like you know what, when the schedule comes out and it's a noon game, everybody's pissed. Yeah, everybody's pissed because you're tailgating, you gotta start early. The game's over with by four o'clock. Yeah, and there's there's an old saying down in Baton Rouge. It cracks me up. They say, yep, never rains, so that their nickname is Death Valley. The stadium. It never rains in Death Valley. And I'm still trying to figure out exactly what that means, but I think it means they've never ever missed a game postponed or whatever. Yeah, it just never rains in Death Valley. It's what they say, So I don't I'm gonna try to effort to figure out what that means, because they say it all the time. Look that up locally. A local high school JF with a big upset over Russburg and JF remains undefeated, and they in LCA are probably well. Ec Glass is really good too. Amherst got thumped by Glass. But those are those are pretty much your three top top teams. Although Heritages right there too. Heritage played LCA tough, but they got They got beat by JF. Eleven to six or eleven to seven is tough, low scoring game. But anyway, so that is your sports. Sports is brought to you by CNS Business Services. Don't I hope he's okay? Read check on him, Somebody check on Trent. Yeah, but hopefully maybe we'll check him with him in the second hour. Otherwise we got some time to fit anyway. Local. I was checking the headlines today locally and we had an officer involved shooting near Miller Park in Lynchburgeez, I don't can you effort to see if any updates have been given to that? It was an officer involved shooting. It wasn't an officer getting shot, it was just an officer involved shooting. Meaning I'm assuming an officer shot a victim or a not a victim. What would the word be? Who knows? Aslant an assailant? There we get a good word. How about that? So is there any updates on that or it's still just it says one hospitalized after hospital involved shooting officer involves Let's see, yep, it was on the block Park Avenue. Yeah, there for a report of an assault with a knife. A caller to one one told dispatchers a woman with a knife was chasing a man in Milli Park. Oh, well there you go. That'll get you shot. That'll do. Be careful with knives, watch it now, don't run with them. Uh, definitely not. Hey, I didn't know this. I need to find that. Speaking of knives, did you know more people die from knives than guns? I did not know that. Yeah. Really, I'll get you that study because that is a true, true statement. Man. Our scanner feed has been blowing up today and that's why. Now I get that because we hit we scanned the whole centrifuge area. God, now that makes sense uh, Bedford Town council man, that race continues to heat up. Hit. The ratings were off the chart last night with the council meeting. Yes, apparently there's the way I have broken it down myself, And this is the way I have broken it down. You basically have incumbents, right that are running off against people who are pissed off that they got annexed. So there's a group of those people. So those individuals are facing off to each other, right, and they're yacking back and forth. First of all, let me say this before we get started. If you happen to listen to this show and you live in an annexed area that was annexed this year, and you're running because that made you unhappy, understand a few things. You're gonna be in for a route awaken and if you actually win, because then what right? Then what are you gonna do? Yeah? What are you gonna do? When you What's like? I see all these signs around town that say it's time for town council to change to what? Just tell me? What? Who? What? What's the change? I gotta get it? Yeah, people are we need more business. Here's an idea. Literally, get in your car and drive around town and see if you don't see at least ten signs that says now hiring. So what you need more business for him? Just tell me we need a movie theater. Hey, I will be glad to build you one. Knock on my door and tell me you want to build a movie theater and I'll build it for you. I promise you. We need arcade. We have one that's right, has an arcade, and get off your slow, lazy butt and get over there and pay to play it. Well, what about the classy joint up on the corner up here, No Old Will's Fargo Bank building. Look at that that opened this week? I mean, come on, that's doing fantastic business. Oh it is, by the way, so shout out to Farmer's guard man just slaining it up there, dude. I have been there twice already this week and it's only been open for three days and literally nothing but positive stuff on Facebook. Batter like all everything positive building. It looks fantastic. It's a great perfect So anyway, that's the way I categorize, and then I have a separate category. Okay, you have Todd Foreman and David Foster kind of running together and yes, and I think they will be well. I support both of these individuals mainly because I know them personally and I think, I, look, you will not find a higher character person than chief form of a former chief form. Yeah. Great, I'm just telling you. Yeah, loved in the community. Yeah, to communicate with. Yeah. So they are both are very well versed in council matters too. That's the other thing about the group of people that are kind of running as as what I would call a disgruntled candidate, right, Yeah, they're unhappy with the way things are going. They're so disgruntled they they're running for counsel. I was in. I'll be the first one take. I was in for a rude awakening. When I got on, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I mean, like the time involved and invested that and when I ran it was I wanted to lay a foundation to be able to bring more opportunity for outside growth, meaning I wanted development, but not I don't want the town to develop and lose its character. And by the way, people who say that's impossible, shut up, you are an idiot. Drive around. Yeah, here's why I recommend to people go to Hillsboro, North Carolina. It's right outside of Durham, and it's a beautiful town that is robust and growing like crazy, but yet it still has its small town robust look. But it just grew and you can do it. Here's the thing. If you're a town, you have two options. You're gonna grow, so you get to dictate what it looks like. Do you want to be a low income where everything is you know, uh, five hundred dollars storefronts, businesses moving in and out. You know you can't lift up your community and have higher wage jobs because nobody wants to come here. Or would you rather have higher income everything where the community itself is becoming more higher income, with more disposable income things like that. Yes, all of that can happen. You have to dictate what it looks like. I was hoping to help start paving that road, but there was a lot of opposition when I was on council to that, and that includes from some that are still on council. There's a large faction of people here that don't. For instance, you mentioned the formerly where well as far though I'll call it the bridge and main REGI main classic class yeah, So that building has been vacant for years. It was well as farther before that, before that was a bank. Before that, it was another bank, and it's so it's called in and out. So nobody was interested in it. We were the only people that showed up to bid on it and bought it. Right. So the plans are we have the Farmer's garden in one section, custom structures in another. Across the hall is another tenant, upstairs another tenant, and we want to do a restaurant and rooftop bar. There's a lot of people that like that idea, but there's also a lot of people that you're gonna have people downtown at this time. I mean, we don't need that kind of traffic. You know, that's a fact. You have people like that. But what I found out is if you're doing things for the right reasons, you just you have to stick to your guns. And that's probably why I'm not on council anymore. And I'm okay with that. I've gotten a lot more done off of council than I ever did on, I'll tell you that. And it's exciting right now. You've got a new hotel coming in, you got new development coming off of enterprise uh not enterprise independent. And there's a possibility of one hundred and some town homes that's in the works, high end stuff three hundred thousand dollars homes or town homes, and people go, well care nobody afford that. Listen, we have affordable housing in Bedford. If you do not believe me, get in your car and drive there are there's not a lot. But if you want affordable housing, meaning two hundred thousand dollars homes, then you have to ask for that and developers will, I promise you will start building them. But here's what they don't understand. People in Roanoke and Lynchburg are dying to move out of those areas into a place like Bedford, which is why you have development coming. And it's good development and you should be happy about it. I need to move on or else we'll be on this for a second hour. Anyway, here's my picks. You want my prediction, Yeah, here we go. My predictions for Bedford Town council are as follows. Okay, year one so there's only there's I don't know, seven or eight people running for one year terms. Okay, there's only four they're taking, right, so you have to choose four. These are my four that I think will win. These are not necessarily people who I'm voting for. These are people who I think will use the election pundit the election day. These are my projections. Yes, okay, these are my projects. Your projection, Brunch Lives, project Foreman, Foster, Carson, and Black. I think that will be your one year term. There you go people, your three year term people, my prediction is CG. Stanley, Stacy Haley, and Upduck. Okay, so that is my prediction for Bedford Town Council. Keep it, We'll keep it up. We will rip them down. Yeah, all right. Moving on to more national news. Inflation and gas continue to rise. I don't know if you've noticed that. I noticed it on the way to Florida. On the way back, I noticed that it's terrible every every and it's only going to get worse. And so this is Jean Claude von dam hot Dom. She uh talks about a reporter asked her about Biden's thirty seven percent approval rating and what he's done for the economy, and this has cut to I hear it, I hear it, but it is Look, our focus is going to be on on what we can do to continue to deliver for the American people. Polls or poles, right, they are going to be all over the place. Uh, they are going to They're going to you know, they don't tell the whole story. Actually, and that is just the way a poll is what. They don't tell the whole story. Right's just three it is. Okay, here's the scary part. This next clip that I'm going to tell you is one that like, she doesn't give you an answer, right, Yeah, this guy goes the exact opposite. He gives you the answer that you probably wasn't supposed to give. This is a guy describing what Biden's economy looks like in What Why It's it is? What it is. Listen to the words very carefully cut three sustainable. What do you say to those families and say, listen, we can't afford to pay four eighty five a gallon four months, if not years. This is just not sustainable. Forture from the present today was a clear articulation of the stakes. This is about the future of the liberal world order, and we have to stand firm. He let this slip. The liberal world order not the United States, the liberal Why is it's not front page news everywhere? You had a presidential advisor say tough, you're gonna pay for eighty five for gas, and you're gonna like it because it's the liberal world order, right, Like this was an abundant that was that was an actual advisor. That wasn't like uh Rachel Maddow, No, No, that wasn't that. Ain't Tucker Crossing speaking. No, unbelievable. So what do you think of this story? I read this one the other day. It was shocked me. I'll skip past the president presidential debate that's tonight. That's just that's a non starter. It's ridiculous. How about this though federal aid for school lunches, the Biden administration is threatening to withhold money to school districts unless they adopt the LGBTQ plus initiatives. So unless you get you know, get in order and start teaching LGBTQ, then you're gonna lose your funding. What do you think of that? Private schools, y'all just keep getting ready. Just so you know, Timberly Christian is building a I think three million dollars edition, So it's not a coincidence. Yeah, and I mean the liberals you when you're Christian University? Are your Christian schools not all Christians? But what are you supposed to do when public schools refuse to be held accountable for anything? And listen, I have friends that are on the school board, and if you listen to the show that sometimes you just have to face the cold, hard truth. We are not moving in the right direction right period. It's just not happening. So I saw this one on Facebook this week and he mentioned Facebook, and I already I get tense. Did I actually snap? I think I might have snapped a picture of it, but maybe not. But anyway, this Facebook post, wait a minute, I think it did. Here it is, I got it? Here we go? Here is actual? Oh yes, this is verbatim. I'm going to quote it. And this is from a Facebook user, and I hope he or she is listening. I'm not going to name them people people who listen to the show and read Facebook and figure it out. But this is what it says, quote food for thought. Well I'm better not quote because it gives a name in here. All right, food for thought. Blank and I were in Roanoke on Saturday morning and met a lady who recently moved from Florida with her daughter and her husband. She is a teacher and a native of Florida. She gave up her career as a teacher and moved due to the restrictive laws now being enforced in education. They desire to find a community who supports the education of our children and allows teachers to do the jobs they're educated, they're educated to perform. She humanized what we're hearing about the news these days. We appreciate, appreciated speaking with her, and will remember her when it comes time to vote. So I've got a lot of issues with this post. One, there's zero fact at all. There's no facts in there at all. What law are you referring to that's restrictive to education? Because the only thing I see is an administration literally telling you you either teach LGTBQ initiatives or else. What's restrictive? What's restrictive? Now here's the biggest problem I have with this, Woody. You left Florida for Roanoke, Virginia. Like you, If you said this person left Florida and moved, you know, to Bedford, I would go along with it, maybe or to you know, Hillsboro, North Carolina. Maybe, but you chose Roanoke. Yeah, there's some problems with this. There's a lot of problems with this. But anyway, I just I read it, and apparently this person chooses truth over facts because there's no facts whatsoever in the Facebook post. Anyway, I saw it, and I just I thought to myself that do you really think of Listen, you come home at night and you go, honey, I can't teach them a class the way I used to teach because of these restrictive don't say gay laws. Even though it allows me to say gay, it allows me to do whatever I really wanted to do, I just can't do it with a preschooler, a kindergartener, a first grader, a second grader, or a third grader. But everywhere else I can do whatever I want to, but it's so restrictive. I want us to move, And when I was looking at greatest places to live, I came up with Ronokes, Virginia. I spun the globe because it's a very welcoming place. Like I'm just I can't imagine this conversation. Honey, you want us to move, Yes, I want us to pick up our child and move from Florida where the weather's great. We enjoy the nice, nice views we have, all the people here, all the different cultures we have. We're near disney World. But no, I'm putting my foot down. We're moving to let me say it again, Roanoke, Virginia. That's going to be our stomping place here because we love it. It's beautiful. You should see the graffiti at night. I mean it's you. You can't get any better than this beautiful artistic. Yes, yes, it's very artistic. It's the artistic district. All right. Moving on to speaking of non factual let's check out this clip of Vice president. This is our vice president of the United States, literally not giving a question. Go ahead, come forward if I can ask you a Mada. Vice President President Finn has said that Americans will feel some pain for the sake of defending freedom and liberty, but there does seem to be no end game in sight. How long should Americans expect? How long should we be bracing for this really sort of historic inflation and some unpressed and at gas prices. Sure? Yeah. In terms of the discussions that the President johannisan I had, they ranged in subject including the issue of the Black Sea, and I'll let him explain in more detail as he would like. But we are again fully aware and a prize because we are in constant communication with the President with his administration here about the concerns that they have about the entire region and frankly, the vulnerability. All you have to do is look at the map. First of all. It's like a different answer, a different, different question. Right. Yeah, it's like AI kicked in but screwed up one. Sorry, but literally he asked her the question about the US economy in the body administration, right, people who don't know. She looks at the other country's president that she's meeting with, yes, and says, are you taking that question to me? I take okay, I'll take it, after an uncomfortable, awkward pause like it's not just a second. Oh, it's ridiculous. Oh gosh. Anyway, that's what's happening. And what's happening is brought to you by State Farm. When you want reliable insurance, you should look at your local State Farm agent. That agent is David Homeacer. He's been a long time supporter of life, liberty, happiness and my agent home Auto and even life insurance. He can take care of your needs. Their friendly staff have over fifty plus years of combined experience. Call him today at I four O five eight six eight one nine four or stop by their office next to Arby's All four sixteen Like the day, David, all right, onto eighty million, Life, Liberty, happiness, eighty million. Mayann come on man with Brian fly Wait, truth, truth over facts. There we go, Here we go. Here's our buddy. Listen, old Joe. Joe's talking a little Llo cool Jake. Now, oh my god, I'm just gonna say this. I haven't heard Oh you have no no, all right, Woody, I've been disconnected. Look at me. Yeah. What would be a hard thing to say? Czechoslovakia is hardy. Oh yeah, yeah, I know it's not much. I'm nothing else fits from my sit for hearting Now for all you paying subscribers, boy, liberty Happiness presents our number two. Hey, we're getting over time for this right all right? I like the introt bringing the heat and bringing the heat. He's back, all right. I number too was shut off with her top two. Now your top ten for the week. Yeah, she's more like a five mm. All right, this list just a heads up. Is everywhere this this yeah, this is this is appropriate because of your music selections too. That's you. I have no clue, no no what week I'll go Megan death and I'll end. But the top number ten and number nine alone, look at look at the god y'all, please pay attention to the first couple ones names on this list. This is me, this is him, but just the two that will side by side. I want people to take note, all right. So like there's certain things that I don't like, Like I can't do Star Wars, star all that sub just I never never interests me. But I will also say when it comes to music, there are certain things certain musics I don't like. I can't classical, just I just can't get into it. I've tried things like that, but I don't know that. Mute movies the same thing I cannot do under any circumstances. I'm not a sci fi horror film kind of guy. I just can't like. It's just like all the Freddy Krueger's in the I love those, and the Halloween, the older ones, the older ones, I don't care for the new the newer ones. I don't know. I'm just sorry. Here's my top ten. Oh God, people take note. Please just listen. I just can't what you were saying. If you don't listen to any all the part our two, just listen to his selections. Number ten Scarface. It's a great though. Scarface is great, like it's a classic. It's a great you can movie. The way I look at my movies is can you watch him over and over and over and still be excited about it? And Scarface is one of Scarface. It's number ten. Scarface is my number ten, great great number two, Hey, here we go. Number nine, this is the one what he just cannot get over. My number nine is Passion of Christ, coming after scar Face, which is about drugs, cocaine, everything, Passion of the Christ. Yeah, Scarface and then Passion of Christ. But let's not stop there, no, no, we're not done yet. That's good. At Number eight is Goonies. The Goonies is all at God. This Goonies is one that I can watch now, I literally can watch it this afternoon and love it. That's you're right, And I don't know why. I just cheez. If you want to know, Brian, just know that Scarface Passion of Christ and tore in my top ten all right, No numbers not done yet. No. Number seven is Rudy funny one with top ten movies of all time? Yea these number seven. Rudy is number seven. It isn't good feel good flick though? Yeah? Number six for St. Gump? Why is that funny? I just if you would have told me the top ten movies the Brian Schli would come up with. I just don't know that I could have named any of these, named any of these maybe one. The next one is one of my favorites. But top Gun, Top Gun is my fifth. Just amazing. Now. I know Trend's gonna chime in later on, hopefully, and he'll say, I can't believe Rocky or I can't believe I don't know those films just never did it. I'm with you. I'm with you like I'm not there. They existed, I know, but they're not in there. Do you have any sense of top ten in your head? Of yours? Yeah? Formulating one now, all right, it just doesn't come close to yours though. All right, Number four Et follow following top Gun. Even Spellberg man, he knows how to make movies. I tell you, I didn't like scapp five, but then your top five story moviest was different. It's just great, good though it was number three Redemption. This one, yeah, yeah, it's just top notch. Now. I think a lot of people who watch I think what you're thinking is if you like shawl Shank, you should have like a Green Mile is it? Yeah, yeah, then you should have those type of movies. But I don't. I go from shaw Shank Redemption to Ets. Yes, but Scarface it's not far behind. Yes, all right, well number two who sixth cents? Dude? This this one. The first time you watch it is board alot life changing. Oh, it almost changes the direction of the path that you take. The unfortunate part is when I watched the movie, I was so taken back because I am one of those that watched the whole movie without a clue, so you legitimately got to the end. There was no like I never went oh my god, that I had no clue. There was nothing like I can watch like when I watch Homeland, right, yeah, and I see a scene, I think, oh, that person didn't die. Ye know, that person's gonna come back later, right, I'm one of those the guesses. There was no guessing in six cents. Really, I had caught you completely, no clue. You thought, no, I'm with you. But like, like the door was at the door, it was you know, the part that I did not appreciate when it was happening, but after it was the interaction between him his wife where you're like me and she's really cold to him. Yeah, she doesn't talk to him, right, and complete sense, like after the fact, after the fact, I was fascinated that I missed all of those clues throughout the whole. I'm almost angry I wasn't smart enough to pick him up. It literally made me such a fan of m Night Shamalan that I wrote a paper in college about him. I was so impressed with this peak peak It was unfortunately, because he's done some other good stuff, Like I was a big fan of the village. I think it was called Yeah. I like, yeah, I thought it was neat. It was good, and I think I think he is he almost you almost screwed himself since we said it too high, and then he had Signs with the Alien movie. You know, I have not seen that. Was it good? I don't know. You need to go watch that. I don't know because I look at your list and Scarce, I mean, you like to eat, so maybe I don't know. Well I might, I might, I might do that. So my number one, this is a classic Tombstone. This is I can never it's it is like, I'll be your Huckleberry. There's man that's peak Valkyomer peak every like peak sam El. Oh, man, that's a that's a classic. I need watch that. I loved it. I need to watch that. It's got so many people in there that you don't even recognize that later on you go that dude was in that movie too. What was the Girl's the lady's name? It's not Oh that's the tall lady. Oh my gosh, you know who I'm talking about. She ended up being his. You need to go. You need to absolutely watch Signs. I can't say anything like you got to watch. I'm gonna put it like, all right, let's we're efforting Dana Delaney. That's it, yep, she was in there. Uh switch the caffrom now, Bil Paxton. Yes, I forgot that Nano two one. Oh what was the Jason Jason Priestley, Yep, he was in there. Billy Zane was in there, but Billy Bob Thornton. Oh my god, it's right. I forgot Michael Rooker. Oh my gosh, this is stacked. Yes, that cast was absolutely just my gosh. They did a phenomenal job. And then some actors. Oh my gosh, I see this is fantastic. Yeah, I need to watch that. That is my number one. That's that's a good one man. That is you Red. Yeah, you made your way through the you navigated through a good list. I will say that you ended. You ended pretty pretty stellar choices are what are give me some of yours? God, y'all gonna make fun of me, I swear for goodness, I have to say Star Trek of course. Listen, that's one of my favorites. I mean, I wouldn't know where because because I'll tell you why I won. It's so good because the show came out in the sixties and this was they picked a random episode. It was one. It was a forgettable episode. It was a good one, but with con in it. They sent them off to a planet blah blah blah. Twenty years later, when they're making the movie, they plucked that storyline and make one of the best sequels that have ever. Like it's just amazing how they plucked that random episode and built on it, and it's like, this is one of the greatest villains ever. So Rathcon, this is no no particular word. I'll just give you a quick quick list. No, no, you're good star Trek Rathcon, Man of Steel, the Superman movie with Henry Avel directed by Zach Snyder. I'd love that movie. I'd watched it a thousand times, and I'd say this one's I'm not being sad because you know, hopefully my wife's listening up from Pixar and Disney that one. If if you're not bawling at like in the first five minutes, I think something's something's kind of wrong. That's this is a great, great movie. I love that movie. Now that you you're a list, I don't have to rob from some of it. Like I would say, top Gunyah, Signs is good, likes, Yeah, you get. I can't say, un dude, that that is peaked sixth cents and signs those are his like I wonder if there's a way we could get a hole to him, that would be he would be a fun you know what he does though, which is interesting. So he kind of broke broke from the Hollywood system because in this period he found that he was making movies and and then his name. You know, they were good movies. But then people would just hate on him, so studios wouldn't give him money anymore. So what he did, like he even mortgaged his home and he would borrow money from friends, and he would finance the movie himself. And then this he would make it and then make the studio buy the movie from him instead of financing it. Yea, So now he does that, like he just makes the movie and then a studio buys it from him because he finds more freedom that way, He's not beholding to the financiers. So I just googled him. Yeah. His films have grossed over three point four billion. Do you remember the one Unbreakable with Bruce Willis and yes, and Samuel Jackson's Mister Glass. That was a great That one had a really good twist at the end. That was a good one. He's a m night man. Penn Valley, Pennsylvania. That is where he was raised. I would never guess that he was born in India. And yeah he's a huge Steven Spielberg fan. Wow, yeah, like he's so he comes from that. Yeah. I did like the It was good. It was nothing wrong with that. I don't know that I've seen any of this. The one with Mark Wahlberg though in the Trees. Have you seen that one? No? Uh? What is it? The well Glass Old Knock at the Cabin that's his most recent Yeah, that's supposed to be really good. Old takes place on the beach are on after Earth Glass air Bender. I like that. That's gonna receive a lot of hate. The Happy, the Happening, The Happening, that's the one with the trick. It had a weird he it was. It was kind of but I wonder where he's at now, Like he's doing like he's doing The Old and Knocked, Like he makes a smaller movie, but he finances it himself because he found more freedom that way, because after honestly, after you see signs like that's that like he found that the studios were interfering too much and they the expectations were too much and like people were not like and especially after Earth that movie had Wills Nathan Jaden Smith his son and bombed and people just like M Knight's done. IM Knight's done. Well, he wasn't done. He just had a couple of iffy movies, that's all. He's an interesting character. He's uh. He actually lives in Pennsylvania really in a place called will Willis Town Township, small town, no wonder. He made in the village two hundred and eighteen acres. Good for him. Yeah, and he's got five historic houses and two barns worth over twenty four million. That's pretty cool. And wait a minute, here we go controversies. He said plagiarism Act. Yeah, but that you know that that's any good idea? People? He still, oh, it's an idiot, idiotic anyway. Uh, that is That is my tope ten. That is your list of a few good movies that would be interested to know Trents. I haven't heard he's still am I A s sure. I hope you're okay, buddy. He's picketing. I mean his text to me was that he was going to be in Richmond, but I will try to get back to my hotel and remote in from my laptop if needed. But I have not heard from him since, so maybe he's I bet he's out dinner if he's in Richmond. He you know, he's bulletd He get used to having the Wednesday off. That's what it was. That's why I messed up everybody. But anyway, uh, well, effort getting Kevin on the show because I know he's got a lot. You know, I do have to say one more thing about movies. I would encourage people to don't please don't weigh so heavily into what you see reviews and everything online with new ones, because recently, like we heard a lot like Elemental came out right with Pixar from from Pixar and didn't yes, all right, and you know, it didn't really get a lot of height. It didn't get really a lot love and people hun and we watched it. That is a beautiful movie, like and so it's like, really, guys, like if you do hear a review, don't really put a whole lot away because it might gets a lot of hating. His movies are good too, So just go watch it for yourself and then decide. Because we watched that movie and it was it was gorgeous, like it was a beautifully animated good story that reminds me of reviews. Reviews are so funny. Oh my gosh, Like to me, I don't. I'm not a big fan of seeing four star, three star, two star for you know, yeah, I'm a I click on and read the actual review, yes, if you can't leave an actual review exactly. And when I read them and I find out some of the stuff, it's ridiculous. It's like, White, what did you? I wouldn't stay at this hilton. They didn't have a low carb option at breakfast that was one of them at a place we stayed, And I'm like, what are you kidding me? The free breakfast that is provided in the lobby. They didn't have a low carboy, Oh my god, we have hanging around like a loose coops. Why am I de tenters in the ice train? Carolina Kevin? It's that guy again? All right? What kay? Brian Schlne were done? Just sitting here thinking about old Tew. Yeah, I haven't heard from him. I don't know where he's at. He's in I A. Yeah, I'm still sitting here drowning my sorrows because he was only seventeen miles away from a Dan here last week and never did come out of seeing you. Uh yeah, I don't know why. He was at a wedding and he didn't even call, did he nothing? Maybe it's nothing. He's part of his boycott. He has to boycott the guest. He has to boycott, especially host. Apparently he's on strike again. You know, I'll hear from him tomorrow. Who go how was the show? I mean, you know you do it will help me? Maybe he's met Listen, we tried remotely last time, and how well did that work out? Man? According to the reviews, if you read them, I can go back. I can go back to it, just like it was loud man, y'all. You know you don't supposed to be on now Listen, I'm on here. He wanted to be on the whole time. You could you imagine? Oh trick, we'll talk to you later on. We'll do Oh me, they done that to me? Yeah? Oh lord? I got so. Brad texted me today and wanted to know the phone number for the to text the show. So I gave him my number and he goes, no, the show number. Why can't you just text me I'm literally right here, and he just texted me again, So I guess there's no number. Yeah, we have a show number. What is the show number? And I'll give it out five four zero yep, eight five five nope, yep, he's right eight five five, Yeah, he's right. Eight. Kevin knows because he's on he's on the studio line right now. Oh but I mean somebody can text that the Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's a studio number. This is donkey. I think Kevin, he's a TikTok account. Oh my gosh, could you imagine? Well, you know Dylan has one and yes, blowing up, did you know your offspring has a TikTok account. I looked at it and this morning, a second ago, and I'm baffled by the one up in both seventy seven thousand. I was shocked. It's crazy, like all he's doing is putting his uniform on, if I put on if I put on my bathing suit. You think people, let's set film that for you. Let's do that real quick, okay, because then it would crash. TikTok couldn't handle it. No, they couldn't. They couldn't know, they'd have to switch over to Twitter. What do you think getting into the meat of the discussion here, what do you think of college football this weekend? Well, I can I tell you what I think about pros? Yeah, you can start there, all right. One hundred and eighty two games are played by a professional what professional baseball players? Correct? Eighty four games are played by how many what? Uh? What sports? Yep? NBA basketball? How many games are played by professional football? Seventeen? Okay, does football players make more money than NBA players? Majority of them NBA and baseball? Probably not, but it's not far off. Okay, it's not far off enough to say that you're playing a one hundred and eighty two games as a making based Hold on, let me finish this, man. Here's my thing. They play baseball players they play like innings and it could last for you know, fifteen minutes, thirty minutes and inning five minutes in the inning. A national football player plays an average for the sixteen games in one year, like a lineman or a defensive guy or whatever, they play an average of seventy hours. Yeah, so you divide that by what they make and to me, this is the way I would structure my team if I was an owner or a well, if I was the owner of a national football team, because this is where it would hold you accountable. If you make twenty four million dollars a year and you get out there and throw an interception, one hundred thousand dollar fine. If you have a genalty ten thousand dollars fine. If you have a personal foul after a play, personal foul, whatever it is, make that the most severe, because when you start taking and hitting people's pockets, I don't care if you play a special sport or anything else. Brian, I'm telling you. You're not telling me, You're telling everybody. Well, I'm telling you NFL, these teams, these players, you know, you break your finger and you're out for three games. Back then, the buckets and all the dude they got their teeth knocked out, they had cast on their arms. They out there playing. These guys make ten times more than they did back then, and they have a little injury and they're sitting out there and making all this money. A little injury. I hear you. And here's the problem. Though your synopsis always, your anger always comes from Dallas losing. No, this is on everything I can go from the Cardinals I can go to the Cowboys, I can go to the Commanders, I can go to the Vikings, I can go to every football team that there's players that are not playing this Sunday that has a little footache, and are you a little funt ache? Are you gonna watch this Sunday? I am gonna watch, But I'm nobody cares at that point, you're still watching, Brian. What cares is the accountability if you're not gonna have players and point them out and have accountability for what they do. Far as mistakes. Back in the day, in the nights, when you had Troy Aitman and you had the other elite quarterbacks Tom Brady, if they threw an interception, guess what they did. They went back and through three touchdown passes because no, but they made up for these quarterbacks. Now they'll throw three and just they cost the game. So if you're costing your team the game, why not hold you accountable and start signing you for doing stuff that you know you shouldn't do. Yeah, I hear you, true, that's not gonna happen, So nobody would play for you. Don't ever say not gonna ever happen, because who would have thought somebody would have bottled water and sold it more than a damn soft drink. So don't say not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. There's gonna be none of that. Well, we'll see. What are you watching? Because if you have paid tension for Lord takes. We had a gold medalist, gold medalist in the Olympics literally lose and quit because of quote unquote mental health issues. And you think, for some reason, we're gonna switch all of this in football or any other sport and we're gonna somehow create tough athletes again, are you nuts? She quit? No, I'm common sense, and that means is that you can. You can have all these you can have all the excuses in the world, but when it comes down to it, I'm just telling you Indians survived without anything that we have accommodations today, and if you throw somebody out there and get them on an island to survive, they will not make it. They don't don't even know how to bowl the egg Brian. Most people don't quit yelling at me. What let's start with that. I what if I done wrong? You ain't done nothing wrong. I'm just going to you're throwing me like if you're a foot about stuff, And I'm trying to justify what I'm trying to tell you, Like I hear you. I'm just saying it's not going to change in their lifetime. Don't say that. It's not that you're a thing. It's still going the other way. You have. I go back to you had a gold medalist quit, quit the Olympics quit. There was no knee brace problem. We had Mary lou Retton land on a foot and they had to hauler off winning the gold medal. Twenty five thirty years later, we got one that does a backflip and doesn't land correctly. She didn't injure herself. She says she's not mentally ready to do it again and quits. Man, And you're telling me that we're gonna fix this, and all of a sudden, this is gonna change. Well, when I was growing up, I'm just telling you what happened to me and you when we were growing up. It fixed us with a belt in the switch. Yeah, but who does belts and switches. I'm just saying that's what fixed us. Well, it's I hear you. I'm not saying I don't want it I'm just telling you, I can't see it changing. I don't that, you know. I look at Bill Belichick and I hear people say, you know just how terrible it was to play on his teams, And one of them asked the question, but you won Super Bowls And the dude literally said, I would prefer to lose games and go play somewhere else to be happy. Jez And I mean, that's that's the generation that you have nowadays. That is the honest truth. Unfortunately, now let's get into the meat of their discussion here, because you're throwing a little shade on I gambled this weekend on my Let's give a shout out to fandels. They need to become a sponsor of the show Fanduels. Which one do you use, Kevin? Do you use FanDuel? Ye? All right, so I downloaded FanDuel and I've been using it now. I don't bet a lot, Like my most expensive bet is five dollars, So let's calm down. But I've been betting on my own. But Kevin, let me just tell you how my luck goes. Kevin picks games weekend and week out. Yeah, he was like ten and oh, she's picking games, and so I sent him a text to send me locks this weekend. Right, first he sends me locks, I put him on my phone. He calls me when I'm in the middle of dinner or something. I can't even remember what it was, and then proceeds to cuss me out texting. Then I didn't respond to him, and he's given me basically free advice. And by the way, I lost this weekend. Kevin. You know why because when you were driving down the road and got harsh on me, I went and gave you bad picks. Oh, this is the brotherly love watch channels. Why on Wednesday nights tonight it's called Big Brother. They backdoor people all the time, and you get back Caroline and Kevin, that's awful to do your brother like that. He probably gave Trent different picks. Go again, try me again. See what happened. Huh. Five dollars beat, I'm already down, Like I sent my account at one hundred dollars. That's what I put in originally, and I don't put anything else in that. If I lose it, I'll lose it. And I'm down down to ten dollars. Don't treat don't treat your brother Bay, and you'll be a plus. Am I down to ten or my I'm gonna be down to less. So I'm literally down to my last bets, and then I'm out because I don't put more on it. He says. I'm down to ten dollars and fifty one cents, so I essentially have two bets left. So my bet, my bets better be good this week. You better be good to me. Man, No, no, no, not taking your bets. Here's my problem. You know where I lose the most. I bet Nascar. And but here's the thing with Nascar. There are basically thirty eight cars most likely on a weekend, right, so you could choose. So I'll choose three cars and I'll bet five dollars. It's fifteen bucks. Right. If one of those three wins, you don't win a little money, you win a lot. So I always pick a good driver, right, and then two bad drivers. For instance, I can do a five dollar bet this weekend. I did it on the Ross chesting. It paid one hundred and fifty dollars on a five dollar bet. Well that's huge, So Trent is calling me. Look at that. Now I'm in the middle of Kevin. He might want to shine me. Well I can't. He doesn't. We're live with Kevin. Oh that's the whole reason I called him. Oh my god, he's alive. He's alive. Oh talking to him, he said, I can't go two weeks without I'm talking to him, all right, I'm trying to Uh, this is new technology for us. We have Kevin on the Grove Street FM State Farm studio phone line. We have Trent on the CNS Business Services T mobile cell phone line. So what do you what do you want there? Trent? I need to know the lock of the week. He's the only one that's still well, he's not one hundred percent with me. Depends on who you ask. Yeah, because information, Well, Trent, he was dishonorable to me. So I'm back doored in and gave him bad picks. I can't hear, is Kevin Talan? Oh that's right, he can't hear. No, Yeah, he's Oh. Shoot, let's see. There's no way to fix that, is it? Uh wait a minute, hold on, I might be able to do this. So Kevin, can you can you you hear Trent? Yes, Kevin Trent Man, can you hear Kevin? Oh no, what Kevin's gotta say? Kevin, you gotta say something, say test testing? Hello, my man? No, all right, never mind, So all right, I need to I need to convey. I can already tell this show is struggling. No, actually, it's been a great show. Where have you been? Al tan is? Would he he's not very tan at all. I'm not sure he laid out. I don't you know what he is? That Copperton guy. I guarantee you know what he is like. Buttermilk complexed. Kevin said what he's like. But I'm not repeating what Kevin's is for God's sakes. All right, So Kevin, we need Trent needs your lock of the week? Ask really called in. That's the reason he called in. What is it? Do you want college or pro college? College? Okay? Asking what? What? What? What? What team? He said, asking what team? What are you talking? I need your lock? What is your pick of the week? How about Tennessee South Carolina? Tennessee, South Carolina. Who you got Tennessee this weekend? He said? Tennessee? Easy, all right, it's a lock. I've got it. Blow out, So no Beamer ball. Apparently it's it's all Tennessee is what he says. Maybe Shane needs to grow that little football on the side of his neck. He's awful. Hey, I got people calling me back in the conference room. By all right, that was Trent. Well let me let me go ahead and give you mine, so you can go ahead and bet you five dollars. All right, now, I'm down to ten bucks. So what is your lock this week? Good? All right, I'm just going put it out here. Okay, Auburn is gonna upset Georgia. Shut up, I can't bet that. Okay, Well, don't throw you money, Missouri. If I bet five dollars on Auburn, it shut up, Kevin, it will pick see. I don't I don't understand this. So Auburn's getting fourteen and a half points. If I bet Auburn, I only win four dollars and fifty cents. This is why I hate betting football. Bet five dollars so you lose money if they win? Yeah, no, no, get you get your five and the four year old. Oh you get nine dollars. Yes, But what you have to do is you have to pick the team that has the most spread that's gonna have an upset, and then that's when it pays more, all right. So the one thing I do like about this app is I can change the spread. So what do you think Auburn? So you think Auburn's gonna win out, Yes, Auburn, and I think they're gonna what's gonna happen is Georgia has had great games since last year. They methodically moved into twenty twenty three the same way. But they do have some injuries and they and they're due for a bad game. And it's gonna come against a very good Auburn team, even though Auburn's not ranked, and you're gonna go back to two years ago when the number one team and the nation got upset. So Auburn's not ranked, but george is number one, and I'm telling you it's gonna be a very good game that you want to tune into on Saturday at three thirty. So if I take Auburn plus five, so that means as long as Auburn don't even have to win, if Auburn comes within five points, the win the it's eleven dollars and fifty cents. I would take Auburn plus three. I don't it doesn't seem to be I got you, I got you. They haven't given us that. I don't know why they won't give us that an alternative spread. Let's see, is there a way to just pick them to win? Out right? What does Mississippi have? What does LSU have on Mississippi? Which is spread? Hold on? What if I did that? I don't know. I have to Oh, let's say you said LSU in Mississippi, LSU old miss Old miss is getting two and a half points, So LS use the two and a half point favorite. Okay, well that l s huland winning that game. But now here's where I want you to bet the money. You do me. Duke is gonna upset Notre Dame, and Notre Dame's gonna lose two in a row. Wow. But Brian, is he's setting you up right now? Not to I'm not setting you up. I'm telling you Notre Dame got there, they got beat dude. This is this is genuine, truthful picks from Carolina. Kevin, you're not saying okay, I ain't saying bag on this last week he strung a little tune to me, so I throw you bad picks. So he went backwards and not fullars. All right, So I don't understand what's the plus four forty mean. I don't know what that means, but I'm gonna which game on the Auburn game. If I bet the plus four forty, I win twenty two dollars on an Auburn five dollars bet. I don't know what the plus four forty means, but I'm gonna take it anyway. I just bet that. So I got a show to do here. We've got to go. Well, I'm here with you, I know, but I move on. I got other stuff to get to. Oh all right, but now that's good. I will. Do you have any plans for the weekend? Just working? Homing? Mhm, dead period, that's wrong you you missed my Uh. Ashley's great aunt passed away, so we had to I had to go to her the funeral, and I had to be a pall bearer, uh Kevin. The cemetery. She her cemetery plot was at the top of the hill. And when I say hill, I'm telling you, I looked at it and I had the whole funeral. I just kept going, Please don't make me have to carry that thing up at hill. If I have to carry that casket up at hill. I'm not gonna make it. You're laughing with it. And I'm telling you, I was sweating. Brian was thinking, if I got to carry this casket up there, I'm gonna be in one after the end of Oh dude, I was sailing. Now I'm out. Oh. Ashley had already told me, Yah, I'm got to carry it up the hill. I'm like, actually, I cannot carry that casket up that hill. And I'm telling you it was it's like, didn't even listen to the services year It's Lexington know, I thought the whole time. So then the funeral director comes over there, mister Kevin, and he says, all right, so we have two options. We can put the casket back in the car and try to drive it up the hill and try to get it as close as we can, or you guys can just take the casket up the hill. And I said, there's no option. What are you talking about. You put it in the back of the car. Yeah, And oh man. We got up there and Kevin, they had some boards rig oh my gosh, that were like two by sixes or two by eight flat laid down that they wanted us to put that We're sitting on blocks like above the hole. Do you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, that's where you put the lowering device. All right, well there was no lowering well no it was. Was it a lowering device maybe, I don't know. Anyway, lowers the casket down into the vault. Okay, Well he told us to lay the casket all right, you know, one one on one side, one on the other, and we would basically lay it on top of these boards. So the one guy says, are we're supposed to walk on the boards and he goes, yeah, they'll hold you, and Actuly's dad goes, not everybody that minute we're all looking at yes. But I'm telling you, I don't know how we did it. We did it, but it was very sketchy and good. Yeah. I was glad when the funeral's over because it was not. It was a good funeral, don't get me wrong, but I yeah, I couldn't tell you what the preacher said. I was thinking the whole time about having to carry that damn casket. A think y'all have. All we do is we just got a full will and we hooked at a casket with a rope and pull it up like they opened the tailgate, just hit the game. Oh god, all right, we'll catch up with you next week. Word of the day, Oh, word of the day. Socks. Socks. Yep, every time Trent goes golf and he carries two socks, a pair of socks with him, just in case he gets a hold in one. Oh my god, we'll see you next week. That's not bad, though. That's pretty good. That's not bad. That's so sad. That's pretty good. Uh well, at least we got to hear from Trent. I wonder what he's uh uh, I don't know. I gotta text it sounding important. He was in a conference room. Yea, Richmond, he's probably he's with the governor. Oh gosh, it was a good show, though I enjoyed it. Today's show was fun. I got one little comedy clip to play in that'll basically bad. Do you have any music you want to end that the show with? Oh, I can find I'm sure you can pull up. We'll get one of Woodi's playlist star Trek, but will play this one little comedy clip here real quick, just to get people laughing. Cut. Did I give you a cut for that? Yeah? I do, I gotta cut. Let me go here. Uh, let's say here we go. Let's say you call a white person, might sound something like this, Hello, please message after the Okay. Let's say you call a Mexican person might sound something like this. Okay. Let's say you call a black person might sound like this. Oh oh that's that's horrible. That's pretty funny though. Uh that is Quinn. What's his last name, Quinn Quinndale. He's funny Dale, Queen Quinndale, one of those. Anyway, all right, well, anyway, that's the show. Next week. We should be back, right, you know, Oh yeah, we're back. We should be back, full staff. Everybody happy. So we're gonna get out a little early this week, but not bad. A few minutes, but great show. Can't wait to hear comments. Uh about movies, my movie selections.
